  1. How dare they send my precious Audi to a lowly Nissan workshop for repair! I'm guessing that must be what was going through Mdm Goh's mind when she found out about this. Do you think she will still write this letter if her Audi had ended up in the Rolls Royces workshop for repair? But on a serious note, I wonder what's the reason Audi had to outsource the repair to Nissan. http://www.straitstimes.com/premium/forum-letters/story/my-point-20140619?page=1 Dealer sent car to another workshop I WAS in a car accident on April 2 and immediately sent my car to the Audi workshop for repair. After almost three months, I was told it is still not ready. My husband decided to visit the Audi workshop in Ubi to take a look at the repairs himself. After much insistence, he was finally led to the car workshop. To his horror, my car was actually being repaired at a Nissan workshop. Goh Meow Cheng (Madam)

  4. I learn my lesson, always try to be around when your workshop is trying something major or major servicing. First time is ask for Denso spark plug, i ended up with a NGK copper plug. Today when i do a major undercarriage overhaul to solve some knocking sound, one of the item is the bushings. I went under the lift and inspected the rubber bushing and found only one side is changed. The blur technician had took the old bushing from the left side and install it on the right side. Had to re-disconnect the linkage and redo. It not bad to stay around while the tech is working on your car.
  5. I know of BVO auto and Juzz for Cars that specialise in BMWs. But they are in Sin Ming which is a bit inconvenient. Any one has any idea whether there are other car workshops that specialise in BMWs pls?

  7. my friend has this rare sports car, only one in singapore, he does not dare to service it at normal workshop because he scared those mechanics not well versed with the car and later cause more problems. does anyone know any reliable workshop that loves to tinker with those rare cars, e.g. classic vintage cars, kit cars etc. the mechanic must be willing to learn and most importantly treat it with care. my friend brought it to a previous workshop the last time and the mechanic spoiled his headlight cover because he simply did not know how to open it. i cannot divulge the exact car model because it will expose my friend and he is those low profile type. all i can say is it is a continental marque. thanks for the guru's advice.

  9. Hi folks, Today went to Viacom for inspection and failed. As I'm the 2nd owner, thus, I wasn't aware what did the previous owner did. Anyway, he has changed the front headlight to HID and LEDs for the rear and front-small light. So Viacom failed all the lighting related test section. So do any folks have any workshop who is expert in this area and help me to get my car back to compliance ? I only afraid some workshop assume this and that, end-up, I fail again and have to re-do all over again. Worse, my road tax is expiring soon, so I need to get it done quickly. Many thanks ! Cheers,

  14. Christian charity defends workshop which Hwa Chong student called 'sexist' A Christian charity that conducts sexuality and relationship education workshops in schools has defended its programmes, after a student said it promoted gender stereotypes. Student Agatha Tan, a first year junior college student at Hwa Chong Institution, had on Friday attended a workshop in school, run by Focus On The Family Singapore, a pro-family Christian charity. She has written to HCI principal Hon Chiew Weng saying that the workshop "seemed to emphasise and enforce traditional gender roles in a relationship". She referred to a booklet given to students, which said girls need to feel loved, can be emotional and have a "deep need for her boyfriend to find her beautiful". The booklet also said boys are "visual", and that a "guy can't not want to look", and they have a desire to "visually linger on and fantasise about the female body". 15. Have tried a few workshops so far on my humble ride, and none have been up to the mark. Visited Autobacs Bukit Batok for the most recent services, and thought the relatively big player would cherish its name in the trade, and how wrong I was. The service package was supposed to include x number of checks on lighting, tyres, brake system, etc, etc. But the outcome was: a headlight has been spoilt for months but plainly missed out during the check, tyre pressue was not checked again (the second time with this workshop already). Returned to the workshop to highlight the negligence (or shall I say a con job as i paid for those checks, didn't I?), only to be offered bull**it excuses. Is it so hard to find a trustworthy workshop in Singapore? Where is professionalism and integrity? Or do you guys always stand by the mechanic while he performs the job?
  16. i am under 3rd party insurance so have to find my own windscreen replacement workshop. anyone know the cheapest one? if you know any workshop in johor also good cause i heard its very cheap there.
  17. Guy need urgent advises. My wife got into an minor accident, so we send the car to paintshop for respray. A frd recommended a paintshop at pioneer(not disclosing names here), today upon collecting the car, my wife found out that her touch n go card is missing. As we only use it while going to msia, she dint bother to take out,it was at the card compartment, those driving fiat punto should know.(dont flame me now, i know we r stupid to have left it there). She confronted the painter but all denied, she had no choice but to leave. As soon as she called me about this incident,i immediately call the boss, told him the whole situation and wanted my card back,i gently tell him its theft and we are recommended by a frd,we even took a photo of the finger prints with paint stains inside the compartment and that he needsnto check and confront his workers. End up he challenge me to call police, investigate on the prints and boasted he got a full viewed CCTV. We are not happy, its only a mere rm60 in the card, but its totally not right to take anythiNg away from my car and still walk away like this! Pic that i took
