Went to pxx xxxg today and Justin quoted me a 17" BBS RK (slight scrathes on all 4 wheels) with 2nd hand GIII wih around 50% thread left for $700. This is after I trade in my brand new 15" OZ Superturismo with Continental Premium Contact tyres 50% thread. So bros, worth it or not?????

Been quoted $1200 + 5% GST to do up the whole car (Full leather) including door panels and arm rest. Also they said that they will do up the car brand logo too. So what do you think, worth or not?

Autofrance @motorshow'04 quotes the 206 1.4A 5 door Tiptronic XR as 78.5K. Checked with them looks like there is no more 1.4M nor any of the 1.6L/GTi models anymore after they launch the 307cc, really quite sad. Think they might be phasing out 206 entirely once the 207 comes about. The 78.5k looks a tad ex for a 1.4L car, though it comes with ABS/Leather/single airbag. Am quite interested in the car, should I get it first hand or second hand which is probably somewhere in the 55-59k region (correct me, 2-3 yr)? Can some of the 206 owner share their car specs/how much they paid for their peugeot? Thanks.

Hi! I'm driving a champagne gold Toyota Corolla which is approaching 2.5 years old. Felt that my car's body surface is getting a little bit rough to the touch (maybe clay-baring is required???), so thinking of trying out Glare because of the 50% discount till 31 Oct 04. 1) However, I am wondering if Glare treatment on my champagne colored Corolla will be anything noticeable at all, or should I simply save the money if it doesn't make much of a difference on light-colored cars? Please advise. 2) Understand that Glare is available at Ubi/Orchard or their authorised service provider at AMK Autopoint and Groomworks. For Groomworks, the package is a 4 times visit, whereas Ubi/Orchard & AMK Autopoint offers only a one-time treatment followed by quarterly inspections. Assuming Glare requires 4-layers coating in total (I'm just saying hypothetically), does it mean that Groomworks only apply 1 layer each visit, therefore finishing all 4 required layers only at the end of the full package? If not, what do they actually do on the 2nd, 3rd & 4th visit? Whereas Ubi/Orchard & AMK Autopoint completes applying ALL 4 required layers during that one-time treatment process? What do they do during the quarterly inspections too? Hope bros here are able to shed some light. 3) Having said the above, so which Glare grooming outlet would you recommend with name & contact details of person to liaise? Also any good freebies thrown in? 4) By the way, how many coating layers of Glare are really applied during the grooming process? Many thanks for your time and replies. Cheers!

Hi Bros, just wanna seek views whether it is worth to spend S$280 for rustproofing my new ody. My SE actually told me iot is really not required for modern cars and in local weather conditions. This is because the manufacturing technique and the use of galvanised steel is not prone to rust. The local weather is also not corrosive as well. Furthermore, one is unlikely to drive a car for more than 4-5 years. Any other views?

My friend is selling the following items (abt. 1 yr old or so) for S$950: HU: JVC KDSH909R (with MP3) Equaliser: Lanzar E750S Amplifier: Power Amper PA-100 (2 sets) Front Speakers: Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1( 6 1/2") Rear Speakers: Rainbow W165 SLX (5.25") Sub Woofer: 15" Cerwin Vega He tell me all in S$950 very cheap liao cause he is scrapping his car and don't want anymore ICE. I'm not an expert in car audio and hence checking with the brothers here if the above is worth it. I also need to buy a sub-woofer amp (budget S$300), would appreciate if you could recomend some good brand/model. My friend told me class A amp is very prone to "aeroplane noise" ... Any good ICE installer to recomend ? BTW my ride is Corolla Altis. Thanks.

looking to get a 2-3yr old PARF car. since most cars suffer the highest depreciation in the first 3 yrs. considering a Feb/'01 Subaru Impreza 1.6A (bugeye) for $54k. good buy? but my first choice would be a 2-3 yr old IST or Miata MX-5 if i can find one on the 2nd hand market. not easy though.

Hi, I need some advice here. I have (finally) found a pair of Brembo cross-drilled, slotted front rotors for my baby. The rotors cost about US$244, and shipping via surface parcel (cheapest) is about US$70. All this converted to S$560. Is this amount reasonable for a pair of rotors? Hi Just wondering whether it's worth to buy a capert thing which is meant to block the engine heat from reaching the bonnet? It cost S$62. Suppose to reduce heat & noice also. One piece which is a bit like carpet material.

Hi. My 30k servicing coming soon. Was thinking worth going back to CA or give some 3rd party a try. I also exp. aircon problem and recently my power steering warning light is appearing. Sometime can feel steering very heavy. So any recommendation. What was the VW service contact again??? Something servothronic?
