Hi, Saw the tucson at jurong point today and i find it a nice car. Anyone knows if Tucson singapore version comes with ABS? I assume it is a standard item with Jap cars, but not sure for Korean makes. I know that it came with 1 air bag and not like tat shown in the brochure (dual and side air bags). Wonder how is the internal space compare with sonata? Thanks!

  14. Just went up Genting last Sunday with my 4 year old Hyundai Tucson. It was a hot day, and after about 4 hours of driving, the air-con started to fail with only normal air coming out from the fan. I heard a lot about Tucson air-con failing, I even laugh at my friends who are driving them, but never thought that it will happen to me one day. They went back to agent, who claimed that the thermoset stops functioning, agent just did a reset but it comes back again later. Anyone knows what will be the repair likely to be so that I can get well equip with this knowledge when I visit any workshop (maybe you guys can recommend me a good air-con service workshop?). Cheers!
  15. Anyone driving Tucson 2.0A? The 2007 model..... Any major problems? Maintainance? And petrol? Thanks.
  16. Hi all forum bros...I know this question is not new here but i still don't few comfortable about some questions. Maybe someone can convince me on really which SUV to go for. :( Understand from reading here that the FC and performance of both are similar......(am i right?) I went to C&C as well as Hyndai last weekend. Tucson selling at 62K and Sportage at $63.99K. At a lower price Hyndai is offering me a higher price (2K more) to buy my old car vs C&C. Off hand, i will save 4K if i go for Tuscon. I love the look of Sportage and don't mind paying for the 4K just to get it. But i am worried about the resale price that i will get when i want to sell it off in years to come. Anyone can advice please?

  20. hi everyone my poor tucson refused to start up yesterday got jumpstarted by a guy from star motors. he says i should change the battery and quoted $260 for an amaron maintenance free battery. my car agent says this is too expensive. the star guy says cheaper model will not sit in the space properly. so decided to ask around first before changing. anyway, my car seems to be working fine now. is the battery really weak? or was yesterday's "flat" just a freak incidence? what brand of car battery is suitable for tucson? how much does it cost? would appreciate all you sifus' recommendations. thanks in advance!
  21. Updated looks of the Tucson and Santa Fe... Tucson now come with Side Steps, Chrome Grille and Foglight covers. Santa Fe with Chrome grille and foglight covers. eddie
  22. any Tucson driver here that can provide me with some feedback about thier ride? my brother is seriously considering this car so i'll like to find out more for him... thanx in advance!
  23. Hi all, Just some updates on my Dad's Tucson fuel consumption. Previously I wrote pretty positive abt it cus I read that it's using the new & better engine that is supposed to give a better fuel consumption, and my dad told me he got 10km/l. Well, that was the initial figures. Now after driving his car for a couple of months, he gets ard 9km/l only. Not too fantastic I guess... I guess one cannot expect much, considering how big the car is (not to mention cheap!). Nevertheless, my Dad is still very happy with his new ride, other than the poor FC and noisy tires given.... So in case you're thinking of getting the Tucson, be prepared to get ard 9km/l for your FC! Else generally the car's a great buy!
  24. HI Guys, Need your feedback on it. Please submit your poll only if a) you own a Tucson. b) your friend who owns a Tucson told you about the FC. c) you get the info about the FC from someone you really, really trust. So sorry about the restriction, as I want the poll to be reliable before I decide on it. Thanks once again.
