  3. Hang cheng pai sial. The amount is pathetic! Senior civil servants to get S$400 one-off payment in place of year-end bonus Read more at https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/civil-servants-year-end-bonus-avc-psd-12144584 SINGAPORE: Most civil servants will get a year-end bonus of 0.1 month this year, with a one-off lump sum payment of S$250 to S$1,500, the Public Service Division (PSD) said on Monday (Dec 2). Senior civil servants in superscale grades will receive a one-off payment of S$400 in place of the year-end bonus or Annual Variable Component (AVC). Civil servants in the lower pay grades will receive a higher lump-sum bonus, with around 2,200 operations support officers receiving the highest amount of S$1,500, said PSD. All civil servants will also receive a 13th-month bonus of one month, to be paid in December together with the year-end AVC and lump sum payments. The PSD said it "will exercise restraint" for bonus payments this year due to "prevailing economic uncertainties". The Ministry of Trade and Industry has forecast that the economy will grow by 0.5 per cent to 1 per cent in 2019, with the growth for the fourth quarter of 2019 expected to remain modest. "This approach was agreed upon in close consultation with the public sector unions to give the strongest support to civil servants in the junior grades, in view of the uncertain economic climate," said PSD. In July this year, civil servants received a mid-year AVC of 0.45 month and a one-off lump sum payment of S$200, with a higher lump sum of S$300 for those at lower pay grades. These benefits include a cash payment under the GST Voucher scheme, a Central Provident Fund (CPF) top-up and a Workfare bonus for lower-income workers. In February during Budget 2019, the Government announced a S$1.1 billion Bicentennial Bonus package to commemorate Singapore’s bicentennial and to support those in need. All 1.4 million Singaporean adults aged 21 years and above this year, with an assessable income of up to S$28,000 for 2018, will receive the GST Voucher cash payment in November. They will receive either S$150 or S$300, depending on the value of their homes. Some will say election is coming, some will say COE will go up next month, some will say not enough, some will say so little might as well dont give, i said if people give me back my money, I will just take and say thank you. 7. Porsche is rewarding its employees with a €9,700 (S$14,800) bonus after a successful 2018 financial year. The amount will be paid to around 25,000 people, who will receive it with their April salaries. The bonus is not specifically based on different pay levels, but set at a fixed rate. “That’s our understanding of equal opportunity; we know that every single employee in this company contributes towards its success, and our approach to these bonuses reflects that awareness,” says Andreas Haffner, Member of the Executive Board for Human Resources. According to Porsche, the bonus consists of two parts: €9,000 (S$13,700) as a performance bonus for the 2018 financial year and €700 ($1,068) as a special contribution to the VarioRente pension scheme or a personal pension fund. Porsche also gave out a similar bonus for 2017 and the year before with €9,111 (S$13,900). 2018 was a good year for Porsche as worldwide deliveries of their cars increased by 4% last year, to 256,255 units. At the same time, revenue increased by 10% and net operating profit grew by 4%.The automaker’s overall workforce rose by roughly 9%, to 32,325.

  13. wow!!! SINGAPORE: Civil servants will get a year-end Annual Variable Component (AVC) of 1.1 months, with lower-wage officers getting an AVC of at least $1,600. Some 1,300 civil servants earning less than $1,460 will benefit from the minimum AVC payment of $1,600. For example, an officer earning a monthly salary of $1,200 will get a year-end AVC of $1,600. This is $280 more than the $1,320 he would be getting at 1.1 months of his monthly salary. All civil servants will also get the Non-Pensionable Annual Allowance (NPAA) of one month, to be paid in December along with the AVC. The Public Service Division announced this on Thursday. Its statement said: "The Singapore economy grew by 5.8% on a year-on-year basis and 1.3% on a seasonally adjusted quarter-on-quarter annualised basis in the third quarter of 2013. "Based on the Ministry of Trade and Industry's forecast, Singapore's GDP growth is expected to be 3.5% to 4% for 2013, supported by the slight pickup in the global economy and resilient domestically-oriented sectors like construction and business services. "Against this economic backdrop, civil servants will get a year-end Annual Variable Component (AVC) of 1.1 months, with lower-wage officers getting an AVC of at least $1,600. This signals the Government's continued commitment to help lower-wage workers." - CNA/ir last yr if i rem it was 0.7? consperm... http://www.mycarforum.com/topic/2684419-civil-servants-to-get-year-end-bonus-of-07-month/

  18. At the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, Ferrari CEO Luca di Montezemolo announced that all Ferrari employees would receive a special bonus due to the excellent financial results from 2010 to 2012. Now, a large part of that promise has already been paid out. The first portion of that special bonus consists of an additional month of bonus for each FY between 2010 to 2012. This means a handsome three-month bonus for each of the 3,000 headcounts under Ferrari
  19. Not bad.,....COE sure huat ah SINGAPORE: Civil servants will get a year-end Annual Variable Component (AVC) of 0.7 month. Lower-wage officers will get an AVC of at least S$1,000, signalling the government's continued commitment to help low-wage workers. The Public Service Division in the Prime Minister's Office announced the bonus in a statement on Thursday. The statement said the bonus amount was decided against the backdrop of a "more subdued global economic outlook". It said: "Singapore's economic growth is expected to remain subdued for the rest of 2012, with the economy expected to grow by around 1.5%. "The electronics manufacturing cluster would continue to be weighed down by tepid external demand. On the other hand, expansion in the construction sector could provide modest growth support to the overall economy. "In addition, growth may be slightly lower than forecast if the weakness in the externally-oriented sectors persists into the final quarter of 2012." The year-end AVC payment was decided in consultation with the unions. Some 2,000 civil servants earning less than S$1,430 will benefit from the minimum AVC payment of S$1,000. For example, an officer drawing a monthly salary of S$1,200 will get a year-end AVC of S$1,000, instead of S$840 based on 0.7 month of his salary. About 96% of these 2,000 civil servants are Division IV officers. All civil servants will also get the Non-Pensionable Annual Allowance (NPAA) of one month, to be paid in December along with the AVC. - CNA/ir
  20. Seems to see more road enforcers on the road these days~ Heard from some friends say they have quota to hit, especially year end, coz they may get higher bonus if total collected amount is high. Wonder if that is true... My car park used to be about 100% full after 9pm, now even after 11pm, there are still vacant lots. A stranger got summon when he just left his car at a side road. Lady in white hid in a corner, and came out to issue summon just when he left the car and walked about a few meters away. Guy turn head to check and ran back to car. They got into a heated argument, he almost beat the lady in white... Scared perhaps, the lady took back the ticket, not sure if she will send him a "home-run" letter later or not though... They look like want to issue summons very badly...
  21. Of 0.3 mth.......well, better than nothing. But htink got payrise too SINGAPORE: All civil servants will get a mid-year bonus of 0.3 month. 22. Published on Mar 26, 2012 Ministers and other political appointment holders will be paid a National Bonus this month equivalent to 1.6 months of their pay. The National Bonus is a new bonus that provides a direct link between the salaries of political appointment holders and the socio-economic progress of average and lower-income Singapore citizens and the growth of Singapore. It came about after Parliament endorsed the White Paper on 'Salaries for a Capable and Committed Government' in January this year. Based on the approved formula, the 2011 National Bonus is 2.625 months but since the new salaries took effect on May 21 last year, the pro-rated amount will be 1.618 months, to be paid in March 2012, the Public Service Division (PSD) said in a statement on Monday.

  25. The PAP and SMRT management has become complacent with fat bonuses and salaries, ZERO and NO accountability for failures. http://sg.news.yahoo.com/train-faults-on-n...y-stations.html Trains came to a sudden halt and the electricity went out, leaving passengers stranded with no lights or air-conditioning on Thursday evening. Some passengers resorted to breaking a train window to get air into the cabin; at least one woman was said to have fainted. Riders who were evacuated walked through the underground tunnel to the next MRT train station. These were some of the scenes reported by those among thousands of commuters hit by a massive outage along SMRT
