  1. It's a 23 minutes long interview but I'm sharing the video from 12 mins 33 seconds onwards. For everyone out there considering to purchase a BMW but kinda on the fence about getting it from PML or Eurokars, maybe this will be the deciding factor for you. Haha.
  2. Looking at Linkedin and saw Porsche APAC have opened up a number of roles to set up their own Porsche Centre Experience store/dealership. From the roles offered (some look really interesting), it looks to be a Product Expert style experience. https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/search/?currentJobId=3263091711&f_C=3670217&geoId=92000000 Still no news on where the new Porsche Centre will be though, info on this seems to still be really hush hush with no one wanting to give any hints.
  3. SINGAPORE - It is official. German premium car manufacturer Porsche is setting up a new retail business in Singapore, a move first reported by The Straits Times last month. A new $1 company called Porsche Singapore Pte Ltd has been set up for the purpose, ST has learnt. According to the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (Acra), the company was incorporated on March 22 this year. Its main activities were stated as retail of automobile, parts, accessories and lifestyle products, as well as the repair and maintenance of motor vehicles. These are all functions currently undertaken exclusively by Porsche dealer Stuttgart Auto, which is part of Mr Karsono Kwee's multi-franchise Eurokars Group. According to Acra, the sole shareholder of Porsche Singapore Pte Ltd is Porsche Asia Pacific, the manufacturer's regional office stationed here. But Porsche Asia Pacific managing director Arthur Willmann told The Straits Times the shareholding will change to include Eurokars "over the next weeks and months". https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/transport/porsche-sets-up-new-company-to-retail-service-cars-here Some of us complain about rising petrol prices, some of us complain about $100K COE, then there are some people busy buying Porsches that there is a whole new retail and service business just for Porsche owners. The rich getting richer! Wooooo. Porsche 万岁!
  4. Recently, I saw an influx of almost new low mileage Mazda 3 in the market with fabric seats. The mileage is low, so don't seem to be PHV push out from Uber or Lion City Rentals. "la long" from Eurokars? :-)
  5. Received Mazda's updated pricelist after the takeover by Trans Eurokars, and realised they have raised the price across the model line-up to as much as 10k! Seems like Karsono Kwee of Trans Eurokars (who also runs Porsche, Mini, Rolls-Royce, Saab and Opel) is bringing Mazda into the premium price region of the conti makes.... Hmm... looks like a far fetched dream to owning even a Mz3 now...
  6. http://www.sgcarmart.com/news/article.php?AID=4894 The Trans-Eurokars Group, owned by Mr Karsono Kwee, will take over the Mazda franchise in Singapore Trans-Eurokars will start running the Mazda franchise as early as Nov 1 or latest, by Dec 1. The Group will operate out of Mazda's current showroom at 315 Alexandra Road, next to Ikea, until October next year to fulfil a lease requirement. The showroom will then move to 23 Leng Kee Road, where the Opel showroom is located, before a dedicated Mazda facility is built, the paper added. Mr Kwee told the paper that a flagship Mazda building will be built at No. 5 Leng Kee Road. Currrently location also houses the Trans-Eurokar office and the Saab showroon. The businessman admitted that it is not easy selling Japanese cars in the current climate that is dominated by premium German brands. But Mr Kwee expressed hope that Mazda has a long-term future, what with new models coming here next year. These include the CX-5 crossover in 2012's first quarter, the Mazda5 and the CX9. The Mazda franchise has been held by the Phng family for 55 years. Troubles started when a shrinking supply of COEs and strong competition reduced it sales. Mr Kwee revealed that they aim to sell 800 to 1,000 Mazdas a year. The Group runs five other car franchises here namely Porsche, Mini, Rolls-Royce, Saab and Opel.
