  1. When it comes to Subaru here in Singapore the last 'TS' model was an Impreza 1.6TS. Which supposedly meant 'Touring Sports' or among Subaru enthusiasts as well as non-enthusiasts 'Turtle Sports' or 'Turbo Stolen' as it was basically pretty slow in its stock form. However Subaru has come up with a new meaning for the'TS' moniker. With a small 't' followed by a capital 'S', it now stands for 'Tuned by STI' instead. Subaru has launched the 2.5 liter Legacy B4 sedan and B4 Touring or wagon, both called the Legacy 2.5GT tS for the Japanese Domestic Market recently. As per its 'tS' moniker it is tuned with some inclusion Subaru Tecnica International (STI) parts and goodies. The upgrades include suspension/handling tuning, exterior & interior trim and an exhaust system for some additional power. The suspension upgrades includes a Bilstein sourced suspension, strut tower bars, STI suspension arm brace/ link and 18inch multispoke STI alloys with 225/45/18 tires. The interior gets an updated instrument cluster, suede alcantara and leather trimmed seats, titanium colored carbon fibre trim, STI style steering wheel and gearbox lever and STI car mats. The exterior gets a front lip for both sedan and wagon as well as a rear boot lip spoiler for the sedan and a roof spoiler for the wagon. The power upgrade is only limited to a cat-back exhaust system and shouldn't add too much power to the stock 2.5liter turbocharged engine which makes around 276bhp in standard form. The limited production (but not a limited edition or limited numbered) car will sell for 4,029,900 Yen for the sedan and the Touring Wagon from 4,187,400 Yen in Japan (and maybe a grey importer will bring a few into Singapore). It isn't an all out STI fire breathing Legacy but just one equipped with parts from the STI catalog. It would add some drivability but it would not be as raw as an Impreza STI. More like a slightly sportier version instead of a stripped out racer. Of course, you have the Impreza for that. The Legacy is here for a different sort of customer.
