Chanced upon this google ad .. http://www.money3.com.sg/investor.php.. noticed that its parent company is listed in ASX..and is making healthy profits.. not sure if it is a viable business to grant small loans to non credit worthy ppl .... i cant think of any legal recourse actions that can be initiated on the debtors if they default for a loan of just $250-$2000..

Just saw an option video that had a "comedy" section that they "trapped" their power crazy driver in a car with the exos running back into the cabin whilst he's claiming that "cats are for wuzzies". He passed out quick enough. Next, they repeated with sports cat on. Of course, he "passed out", but lasted longer. OK, the part about driver in car with the poisonous gases fed back was a parody and joke. But the experiment indicated a huge decrease in carbon monoxide and other poisonous elements with the cat, and the power decrease was minimal. Think car was a GTR. So really, my point is, if LTA can approve sports cat and aftermarket headers if they meet emission/noise standards, I'm sure many of us would pay and go for it rather than the obviously illegal decat way. This should be the logical way to realistically increase the use of cat for the enthusiasts, and help preserve our environment. We know how often questions on decat, race headers (no cat obviously) pop up.... BTW, I did ask LTA for standards to test to as there're Mugen headers with sports cat that meet JVIA standards. But after several attempts, I gave up as I was given the usual "let me refer you to someone else" syndrome when they obviously don't know how to handle a question out of their standard answer book. Their last recourse was "write in and we'll evaluate". I asked what basis and standards will they be "evaluating on" so I can ensure I have all the required documentation. Nope.... they will NOT state to what standards (if any) will they be testing on.

What do you guys think? Quote from one.motoring website: LTA Vehicle modification guide Vehicle owners may modify their vehicles for many reasons. Whatever the reason may be, be it to improve the vehicle's performance or to create a distinctive or customised appearance, it is important to ensure that the modifications meet the requirements of the Land Transport Authority (LTA). LTA has a set of guidelines for vehicle modifications to ensure that standards for road safety and vehicle exhaust gas and noise emissions are not compromised, for the benefits of vehicle owners, other road users and our environment. Prospective owners of second hand vehicles are also advised to seek independent assessment to check that the modifications are legal before committing on the purchase. Assessment services are available at LTA's authorised vehicle inspection centres. In general, the common vehicle modifications can be broadly categorised as follows: Vehicle modifications that are allowed Vehicle modifications that require LTA's approval Vehicle modifications that are not allowed However, it is necessary to note that this list is not exhaustive. For further advice and clarification on specific vehicle modification, vehicle owners can write in to the Vehicle Engineering (VE) Department of LTA at 10 Sin Ming Drive, Singapore 575701. Alternatively, contact the Department at 1800-CALL LTA (1800-2255 582) for further assistance on vehicle modifications." Under Vehicle modifications that require LTA's approval, we zoom into the exhaust system. "Exhaust system (e.g. exhaust manifolds, catalytic converters, mufflers, etc.) The exhaust system, which consists of the exhaust manifold, catalytic converter and muffler, is used as part of a vehicle's exhaust emission control system to ensure that the exhaust emission meets our environmental requirements. Any modification to the exhaust system would therefore require LTA's approval. The following should be submitted to LTA for evaluation: a) Certification from the product manufacturer stating that the proposed aftermarket exhaust system is suitable for the make and model of the vehicle. b) Certifications or test reports from independent test laboratories such as TUV, DEKRA, JVIA, VCA etc. to show that the aftermarket exhaust system when fitted to the vehicle on a per make and model basis complied with prevailing exhaust emission standards. Note: Removing catalytic converters and mufflers are not allowed as it will adversely affect the exhaust emission characteristics of the vehicle." Is it so simple???
