Peugeot has pulled the curtains of the 308 GTI and it has been more than 10 years since the French marquee brought out a GTI in this class of vehicle. The Peugeot 308 GTi will be powered by the same 1.6 litre THP, 200ps engine that will be featured in the RCZ coupe model, making it a credible competitor to the VW Golf GTI, which pumps out 211ps. The THP engine which is fitted with a twin-Scroll turbocharger and a high pressure direct-injection system with Variable valve and timing injection technology, produces 275 Nm of torque. It come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 7.7 seconds while fuel consumption is rated at 6.9 liters/100 km and CO2 emission is 159 g/km.
