CNA report : Two Malaysians jailed for possessing ATM skimming equipment SINGAPORE: Two Malaysian men were jailed six years each for possessing skimming equipment to make false ATM cards. Twenty-seven-year-old Loke Siew Fei and 39-year-old H'Ng Gaik Chin each pleaded guilty to two counts of contravening the Computer Misuse Act and one count of possessing equipment for making a false instrument. An additional charge of unauthorised use of computer service was also taken into consideration. The duo were tasked to bring skimming devices into Singapore to conduct skimming activities on ATM machines. In January, they tampered with three ATM machines - a DBS ATM at Bugis Village, and two UOB ATMs at Sims Avenue. After installing skimming devices on the machines, they would steal data from the ATM card's magnetic strip. A camera was also installed near the machines' key pad to record the Personal Identification Numbers (PIN) of users. They then emailed the information to a syndicate in Malaysia, where unauthorised withdrawals would be carried out by other members. The court heard that within an hour of them tampering with the machines, bank customers carried out more than 200 transactions involving 100 bank accounts at the affected ATM machines. However, none of the accounts were misused and there was no actual monetary loss to customers. Just in posession of skimming equipment and no $$$$ loss, get 6 years jail each. I was told by the shop opposite of p-- ---g that he can skim and slot lines (groove lines) on my odyssey front rotor disks brakes. He's charging for this work for $150 for both disks. Brand new slotted disk is $200+ per piece. My disks brakes have travelled about 39K km. But my questions for this process are : 1. Are my disk brakes able to perform after skimming and slotted of lines? 2. Can the OEM disk brakes able to stand the braking after skimming and slotted of lines? 3. Is this process worth or are there better solutions coz not willing to spend on 4 or 6 pot? Please advise. Thanks.

Hi anyone know a good workshop to skim the rotor disc? My car when braking tends to be jerky, which I suspect is warping of rotor disc. (Toyota ISIS, 3 years old) Suspect its the numerous petrol station washings (spray water onto the front wheels when its still hot. Thanks much

Hi all, anyone can recommend a good workshop that does skimming of front brake disc for Jazz? My disc surface seems to be uneven. Roughly how much will it cost huh? Thanks!

i know the compression ratio will increase after the head is skimmed, but how much can one skimmed without causing damage to the engine when running ??
