OK folks I dun usually watch korean drama but I find this plot quite amazing. It's about the story of a girl who has a special ability to see the lifespan of everyone including herself. So she knows how long more u have to live right up till the last seconds. In the drama, she only has 100+ days left to live. It's just been released in Korea on 21st May 2018. I find it interesting because if u have such an ability, what would u do? Try to play God? What would u do if you see the stranger right next to u with 1 min of her life left? Ok my fast and furious story goes like this. Was waiting first in line at a traffic light on orchard boulevard. (road behind taka and wisma) This heavily modded and decalled evo 8 GSR rolled up beside me. And he revved letting out a lousd PSSST~ haha I retaliated with a loud Vroom~ from my 2.0 NA engine. The light turns Green, we both floored it and my pathetic stock shot ahead of the EVO and I celebrated my first street challenge victory with a TCed car! Flawless victory u say? Ok i was just kidding about that EVO 8 GSR. Actually I was caught speeding by 2 TP officers who clocked me at 68km/h on that 50km/h limit road. Oh boy was I in trouble for going at such a FAST AND RECKLESS SPEED. I could have killed someone going at such a high speed and I bet even my grandma would have suffered a heart attack had she been sitting by my side. Com'on officer, its 1am, the row of lights was on green and hey its a 5 lane straight road. He even asked me where was i rushing to? WAT RUSHING SOMEWHERE at 68km/h? I'll be at 120 if I was rushing! 170 fine. 8 demerits. What can i say. If u are suay you are suay. As long as anyone was above 60 on that road tt fateful night, I think you would have suffered the same fate. Was very traumatized by this incident. Had been faithfully crawling around singapore and craning my neck at every corner and behind every bush to make sure I wasn't going to be featured on "GOTCHA at 68KM/h!" again. One day, this paranoid driver may just fall asleep at the wheel and crash into a bunch of officers manning a roadblock. Cos there is a sticker at the back of his car stating "60km/h" Let this be a warning to all those Speedsters out there! 68 is way too fast! And on a sidenote, only my foggies was on and it was a clear night. The officer did not say a word! Hooray for FOGGIES!

A driver in KL wrote:- On Christmas Eve, I decided against going out to party cos everywhere would be packed and instead went to me mate's place in Bandar Sunway for a game of Mahjong. We finished at about 4.00am and I took the LDP highway from Bandar Sunway back to Taman Tun. It was a great evening, not raining, no car on the road and I made a tidy sum at mahjong and I was crusing at 80kph, perfect day. As I was approaching the flyover near Damansar Jaya I glance at my rear mirror and notice two cars coming at tremendous speed & told meself, shall I drop to 3 gear and say Warp Speed 2 Mr. Sulu? I decided against it and move to the inside lane. On entering the flyover the 1st car overtook me (Proton Satria) at speed followed rapidly by the 2nd Proton, which swerved into my lane to overtake the 1st car. I had no choice but to swerve to avoid hitting the 2nd Proton. as I corrected my car the back wheel hit the kerb and I flipped over to the secondary road which takes you to Damansara Jaya. I think my car must have rolled over at least 5 times. Finally it came to a stop, oops I didn't wore my seat belt. 1st thing I did was check both my legs, they were ok, so was my arms. I check my head and body, there was no blood. I open the door (later found out it was the only door that can open) and walk out. I look at my car and it look quite similar to a Lotus Esprit kekeke. I must have been in shock but it don't half seem like eternity b4 the first of many tow truck operators arrived. They towed the car to USF (total loss). I went and look at me car today and tell myself how in heaven's name did I walk away from a wreck like this without a scratch. Hey my Guardian Angel was with me. I'm not angry or upset but (tham choon toi/ bang balls) abit lah. The people who caused the accident got off scot free. On hindsight I thought if I had say Warp 2 Mr. Sulu maybe nothing would happened. Moral of the story : Driving slowly doesn't mean you will not get into an accident. Speed don't kill!! Humans do !!! Its gonna take a few months b4 I can get my claim from the insurance, I'll buy another Airtrek Turbo, a silver one this time. Meanwhile you guys have a Happy New Year. Mine would be just as Happy, hey I'm still in one piece.

In October 2005, Lee had walked into the showroom where Ms. He worked, saying that he wanted to test drive a Mazda MX-5 sports car. Ms. He agreed to attend to him even though she was already off duty and planning to meet up with friends after work. Despite his unfamiliarity with the Paya Lebar area and extensive road works there, Lee still drove at speeds in excess of 90km/hr. He lost control of the car, causing it to cross a road divider and crash into a BMW approaching from the opposite direction. The impact then caused the car to flip over and crash onto the roof of an oncoming van. Ms. He died of her injuries an hour later in hospital, while both the occupants of the BMW were seriously injured. Despite killing a young woman who was “a very nice helpful girl” according to everyone who knew her and seriously injuring two others, Lee remained free while the police “investigated” the case. That would have been the end of the matter, except that Lee showed absolutely no remorse over causing the death of Ms. He and the injuries to the occupants of the BMW. Instead, he went on an online forum for car owners and buyers and bragged about how he may end up having to but two different sports cars if he couldn’t decide how to choose between them. On of the forum members who went by the handle of “Legendkiller” recognized Lee as the driver whose reckless stupidity killed his friend, Ms. He. Angered by the fact that Lee was still free and driving, and showing absolutely no remorse for killing Ms. He, as seen by his shopping for sports cars, Legendkiller paid $1,000/- of his own money to hire a private investigator to obtain evidence that Lee was the driver of the MX-5. The PI found the evidence, and Legendkiller presented it to the Traffic Police. Incredibly, the TP said that they don’t have sufficient evidence to prosecute Lee. They even said that as the road where the accident had occurred had been resurface, they might not be able to obtain evidence that Lee had been speeding. Outraged by the attitude of the police, Legendkiller publicly unmasked Lee as the man who caused Angelia He’s death. It didn’t take long for mounting public anger to result in Lee receiving threats of physical violence and even death. At this point, 18 months after killing Ms. He, the police finally charged Lee. Incredibly, he was allowed to plea bargain from a reckless act, which would have earned him several years in prison, to a rash act, which earned him only a fine and seven months in prison and a 10 year ban from driving. Following sentencing, Ms. He’s father, and odd-job laborer, lamented that he wondered who would now look after him and his homemaker wife since their only child had died. Hi guys any story/experience to share driving in other asian countries/cities other than MALAYSIA? Let me share mine first, since I am relatively young, I have driven in Thailand and Indonesia before, driven car friend in bkk for half day only but was unlucky as traffic really jam. Drive around the sathorn area as well as sukhumvit area 3-4 years back in his CRV. Really pain in @ss driving in bkk as had to wait long in traffic light. Then in indonesia i have driven before in Surabaya, Bali and. Batam before through car rental. In Bali it was challenging as roads very narrow and gps somehow brought me to small road for one car only for shortcut BUT that road is for 2 ways. So when there is oncoming car, I had to keep the most left, ask my gf to check out left side of the car and then i fold the mirror, think left and right less than 15cm! Then also managed to drove to kintamani mountain for 3-4 hours drive from the denpasar city. Its tiring but fun Then in Surabaya, i rented an Innova and went to Taman Safari Prigen about 1 hr drive from the city. The fun part is that the safari is like jurassic park, lions and other animals is at ur car window as we drive in to see those animals using our own cars. Unforgettable experience indeed. Think if u watch one of the Running Man episode in Indonesia, its exactly the same. U can feed some herbivores food by opening ur window slightly. Its fun! Last but not least in Batam, rented a car drive to barelang bridges. Not much experience but fun part is when u cross the first bridge. Then i think in 4th or 5th island drive through viets village. Thats all about my Asia Driving experience

Yahoo news: Sex bloggers get court’s nod to travel to Singapore to film life story Sex bloggers Alvin Tan and Vivian Lee succeeded in getting back their passports from the court today, pending a trial over their controversial Ramadan "greeting" last year, as they are scheduled to travel to Singapore for the filming of a programme on their life story. Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court judge Abdul Rashid Daud allowed the two to have their passports back until June 3, based on an application by their lawyer Chong Joo Tian. The prosecution led by deputy public prosecutor Wan Shaharuddin Wan Ladin did not object to the return of the passports, but asked that Tan and Lee, who are popularly known as “Alvivi”, not to comment on the pending case during the filming of the programme in Singapore. Chong said later that the judge also waived a pre-set condition for them to report to the police station on June 1. He said upon their return on June 3, they would have to return their passports to the court and would be required to continue reporting to the nearest police station at the beginning of each month. Last month, the Court of Appeal struck out a charge under the Penal Code against the two sex bloggers on grounds that it was not applicable to non-Muslims. The charge under Section 298 – for stirring hostility between religions – was struck out on the grounds that the law was meant to ensure the smoothness of the practice of Islam among its followers, not those of other religions. However, Tan and Lee still face two other charges under the Film Censorship Act and Sedition Act for allegedly publishing a photograph with the comment "Selamat Berbuka Puasa (dengan bak kut teh... wangi, enak, menyelerakan)" which contained a halal logo and allegedly seditious statements, and for displaying pornographic images on their blog. The duo's postings on July 11 last year triggered furious reactions from Malaysians of all races, following which they removed the posting and uploaded a new picture of them eating ketupat, rendang and curry puffs. However, the Facebook page was later removed. The trial date at the Sessions Court has yet to be fixed as the Attorney-General's Chambers is appealing against the Court of Appeal decision on Section 298 of the Penal Code. – May 12, 2014. The other two include whether he gets a commission from booking cars parked illegally, and if he can “close one eye” if you give him your car plate number. The answer? “No, no and no.” The 29-year-old, who has been doing the job since July 2005, explains that parking enforcement officers like him issue summonses to motorists who park without a valid coupon or illegally. He now runs a team of 36 officers. “If there was a quota or commission to earn, I wouldn’t have to spring surprise ‘audits’ on them while they work,” says the tall lad with a chuckle. Part of his job is to deploy members of his team to different areas daily, and to ensure they are doing their work. On top of that, he pounds the pavements as well. The job has its challenges, he admits. “It’s not too popular because you’ve got to endure the heat, and quite frankly, once people see our white uniforms, they don’t like it already,” he says with a rueful smile. “Not too popular” may be an understatement. (The Parliamentary Elections Act) Before PAP decides to introduce a FT MP scheme (dun pretend, U know what the abbrv.'FT' means), lets free minority political representation of the duplicitous GRC system of elections, as PAP ceaselessly invites more and more foreigners to run our little country ... (Old story, 'Former NTUC (Asst.) director Amy Cheong is an Australian citizen') By extension, I wonder if under the PAP's talent search scheme such as 'GRCs make it easier to find top talent: SM' ST, 27 June 2006, SM GohCT: "Without some assurance of a good chance of winning at least their first election, many able and successful young Singaporeans may not risk their careers to join politics" due to the lack of able and successful young Singaporeans we should also soon see more FTs in positions of authority [see in quotes 'Can PRs be judges?]- a FT Chief Justice, FT Police men, FT Army, FT Admin Service perhaps even FT MPs- it doesn't take too much stretch of the imagination what the PAP would do, how about a FT SS for Singapore, would make SG more stable and prosperous under a 'united' strong ruling party... How true is it? If it is true...damn..we are really in a pile of s--t if we can't afford to pay the HDB loan. And I'm sure it will happen to many people once the retrenchment starts ________________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________ About 6 years ago, my wife and I were out of jobs and we could not afford to pay our monthly instalments to HDB (it was about $500 per month). As a result, we had an outstanding debt of $11K to HDB. One day we received a letter that said HDB wants to force us to sell our 3 room flat to pay back our money owing. We went to the local MP to seek help and they wrote a letter to HDB on our behalf. We then received a letter from HDB to go down to AMK branch office in order to meet their officer, Mr Chua. At the end of the session he still insisted we pay another $200 on top of the previous $500 per month!! We went in to ask for help to work out a solution to our financial situation and instead they suggested that we should now pay $700 a month! Is this help?!?!? We gave up realising HDB would not help us. We decided to borrow from wherever we can to pay every month until we can both manage to get a job! Since then, we have been paying $700/mth as agreed with the officer earlier, but they still called us every month trying to force us to pay additional CASH payments on top of the $700 we already paid using CPF! Luckily for us, everything went quite smoothly and we are able to pay off most of the outstanding amount. Today, the outstanding balance is only about $1700+. Recently however, during January 2013, we received a letter from HDB saying that they wanted to force us to sell off our flat again!!! Back then, the outstanding amount was only about $5500. So we went down to HDB again and asked what happened? What happened to the agreement that was made earlier? They just said that as long as we have an outstanding debt totalling more than 3 months of the monthly instalment amount, they had the right to force us to sell our flat! Offcourse we need our flat, or where else will we live? So we paid another $2500 from our CPF, then in Feb 2013 they called again saying we hadn
