Dear Bros / Sis, Me and my family will be going on a holiday up north to Terengganu. Now planning the trip. I know it is a bit short-timed but since all insisted , I am again in the position to do the necessary arrangements. So , dudes , I need your advice. A good hotel , attractions and all... I will be driving up to Terengganu with family during the third week of June, we will be visiting the Perhentian islands and Lake Kenyir. Likely to stop over for a night or 2 in Kuala Terengganu. Seeking advices from those familiar on the must-do, must-see, must-buy, must-makan thingy. Our plan is to bring some good books and laze around for a week, so it is going to be a nice and slow trip, don't intend to seek out fringe attractions. On our previous trips to Redang, we will usually charter a small boat for 4 to 6 hours on a island hopping cum snorkelling trip, I can't seem to find any information on boats that are available for charter in the Perhentian, anyone has a clue? What is the market rate? Also, how far is the carpark from the Kuala Besut jetty? I was checking my Garmin and it is quite a distance away from the jetty, this does not gel with what I have read on the internet. Thanks in advance for all tips....

Two cars set the adventure amids the unpredictable rains and floods risks to east malaysia... Set out at 6am, clearing sin & jb ICA with less traffic (phew)... Arrived at Mersing at abt b4 9am.. had bf for one hr less then set to kuantan via endau rompin... Reached Pekan, Pahang for petrol top-up and a bit of stretching then rolled out to K.Terengganu via cherating... Check in hotel at Primula K.Terengganu ard 3 plus... Weather - cloudy wif drizzling at some parts Speed - varies very much due to some heavy vehicles Road condition - improve greatly with road widen and re-surfaced at mersing

1. Planning a solo trip with family to Terengganu in mid June. Would like to tap on those who have driven and had a holiday there. 2. Bascially, looking at 4 days 3 nights at most. Bringing preschoolers along so wonder if it is going to be boring for them. My only impression on Terengganu is to see turtle lay eggs and lake Kenyir(kuantan?). So, any recommendation of good hotels that are children friendly (nice playground and child care service)? 3. For driving, may plan to go Gentings 1st then go straight to Terengganu then back to SG. How long does it takes from Gentings to Terengganu? Thank you very much. Regards,
