  1. The Alpina B4 Bi-Turbo Convertible is characterised by short overhangs, precise, long drawn shoulder lines, a wide rear and a charming metal folding roof. Functional aerodynamics, signature 20-inch Alpina classic wheels and two elliptical double tailpipes are hallmarks of the Alpina design philosophy and lend a particularly elegant presence with the Alpina refined convertible. Like the name suggests, the 2,979cc straight-six engine in the Alpina B4 Bi-Turbo is equipped with two turbochargers to deliver 410bhp and a maximum torque of 600Nm. In combination with the excellent ZF eight-speed transmission, the B4 Bi-Turbo Convertible accelerates from zero to 100km/h in 4.5 seconds on its way to a top speed in excess of 300km/h. Braking power is provided by 18-inch high performance brake system with 370mm discs at the front and 345mm discs at the rear. Blue painted aluminium callipers with Alpina lettering, in conjunction with high performance pads, ensure fading stability and optimal pedal feedback. The stainless steel exhaust system was developed in collaboration with Akrapovic and is 7.5kg lighter in comparison to its predecessor. The resonant, sporty sound of the exhaust system is controlled by an intelligent exhaust valve. In Sport Mode, the valve is permanently open and the B4 Bi-Turbo thrills with its distinctive aural character under hard acceleration. The drivetrain, equipped with auto start-stop and Valvetronic also impresses with class leading economy figures of just 13,2km/L and 177g of CO2.
  2. From what you've read earlier Porsche have just come up with an RS version of the 911 GT2. When Porsche uses the RS tagline, it usually means more power and less weight resulting in an ultra focused driver vehicle. When Porsche came out with the GT2 everyone was amazed that it only had rear wheel drive to power over 600bhp. So when you combined both the GT2 and the RS tags, it becomes nuclear. Of course, if you are in America, rich and impatient till you cannot wait for the RS or think that the RS is still too wimpy for you, you can head to Switzer Performance and get your current model 911 GT2 pumped up even more. Ohio based Switzer claims that their 911 GT2 makes a nice Porsche 911 sounding figure of....911bhp. Switzer sounds very like it may be run by some Germans as it seems the humor is in line with what people at RUF, Gemballa or TechArt do.     The MTM Audi RS5

    MTM has decided to preview their tweaks on the Audi RS5. This piece of kit is for those that think that the standard RS5, which is actually an A5 or an S5 with a 4.2liter V8, slightly different rims and a lot more noise from its exhausts, isn't enough to impress their drinking buddies. That V8 in the RS5 is derived from the old B7 Audi RS4 that we all love so much. Well, I do anyway. Not much is done basically, the MTM RS5 isn't a radical tweak as the 450bhp thereabouts 4.2 liter V8 makes.......450bhp. Yes, it is the same power output the RS5 had when it left the factory but the ECU is tweaked to allow the car to reach a maximum speed of 303km/h (188mph) instead of the usual German manufacturer limit of 250km/h (155mph). Audi does offer an increased speed limit too, but it is only to 280km/h (174mph). So this is a good thing if you intend to keep up with some 911GT3s or to actually boast a higher V-max than your other RS5 buddies at an Audi gathering. There is also an exhaust upgrade, but I suppose it is more for releasing more of that wonderful V8 rumble from the RS5 as there is no reported increase in horsepower.
