  1. [it's OFFICIAL] Arma arrived in Singapore! I am very fortunate and delightful that I can spend my afternoon today at Fong Kim, who is currently one of the dealer in Singapore who is carrying a brand new CAI (Cold Air Intake) from Arma Speed. Instagram: @arma_speed ARMA has more than 25 years experience in the carbon fibre industry, and now are considering one of the leaders in carbon fibre air intake. ARMA Hyper Flow Carbon Fiber Air Intake System and brake kit are just like sword. The Hyper Flow Carbon Fiber Air Intake System can give your car more energy to attack; car enthusiasts can enjoy an instant performance upgrade only by upgrading to Arma Hyper Flow Carbon Air Filter. After chatting with Li Hwa, a representative from Arma Speed. She has mentioned that the uniqueness of the Hyper Flow Carbon Fiber Air Intake System is a complete upgrade of your air intake system. Usually, when you upgrade your air intake, the main focus is always the airbox or the cold air intake compartment. Metal is a tremendous conductor of heat, and all the cold air's goodness will be lost when drawn to the pipe!

  3. Heard over the radio, a pair of PRC who enjoy VVVIP status landed at Changi at 08.20am .... CNA : China pandas enroute to Singapore By Kristine Lim | Posted: 05 September 2012 1712 hrs CHENGDU, China: Giant pandas Kai Kai and Jia Jia are enroute to Singapore from China. The pair are on a 10-year loan from the Chinese government, marking more than two decades of strong ties between the two countries. The plane carrying the two pandas took off for Singapore at 4am. It is expected to land at approximately 8.20am. At nearly 3am on Thursday, the pair were at the Chengdu Airport Tarmac waiting to board their flight. Inside the crates where they are housed individually for the journey, five-year old Kai Kai was fast asleep. His four-year-old companion Jia Jia was, however, wide awake and chewing on her comfort food - bamboo. After one month in quarantine, the furry pair are in good shape for their journey. On Wednesday, a farewell ceremony was held for them at the Chengdu Bifengxia Panda base. They were moved into crates and then sent to the Chengdu airport in a refrigerated truck. Since it was their first time away from home, extra care was taken to minimize stress on the creatures. The truck drove at a maximum speed of 60 kilometres per hour, slowing down to just 20km per hour around bends. Ninety kilogrammes of bamboo have also been prepared for the journey. A panda eats an average of 20-kg of bamboo a day. Bamboos will also be placed in their crates, in case the pandas want supper during the flight. Wildlife Reserves Singapore has also brought along bamboo imported from Guangzhou, in case the pandas need time to adjust to the taste of bamboo grown in Singapore. The pandas will be transported in a 747 cargo plane. With the main deck as big as a basketball court, the crates will be placed in the middle, which is the most stable part of the plane to minimize turbulence. Heard they enjoy a upscale posh of S$1 million a year just by seating and doing nothing... maybe at times, piak piak if they have nothing else to do...

  5. Some how kinda hard to believe...could there be a misunderstanding or really it is normal? From ST Forum: http://www.straitstimes.com/STForum/Online...ory_773718.html Arrived at Terminal 1, luggage handled at Terminal 2 Published on Mar 5, 2012 I ARRIVED at Changi Airport's Terminal 1 on Flight SQ425 yesterday. After clearing Customs, I went to buy some beer at the DFS shop. While queueing, I saw a fellow passenger being asked to make his purchase at the DFS shop at Terminal 2 instead. He dropped the items and walked off with a look of frustration. When it came to my turn, a staff member explained that passengers who arrived on my flight were supposed to make their purchases at the Terminal 2 DFS shop, as the luggage handling was done at that terminal. She said this was because my point of disembarkation was 'very near' Terminal 1. This piece of information came as a surprise, and no one in the queue was aware of this at all. Why did the crew on board not advise the passengers prior to landing? Can a passenger clear Customs at Terminal 1 while his luggage is being handled at Terminal 2? And how does he make his way from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 without violating security regulations? I had no check-in luggage, but I could imagine the frustration and confusion of the other passengers. This could give foreign visitors a bad impression of the country. I was embarrassed to overhear one Singaporean passenger saying: 'This cannot happen in Singapore.' The relevant organisations need to provide an explanation. Song Heng Mun

  8. If you read our deep dive on the McLaren MP4-12C, you're thoroughly up to speed on the automaker's latest foray into supercardom. However, something was missing. McLaren hadn't provided the rudimentary performance figures to keep bench racers and keyboard jockeys frothing at the mouth. Until today. According to recent reports the MP4-12C is able to crack the 60 mph mark in "under three seconds" when utilizing the launch control feature on its seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Partnered with its 2,870 curb weight (there's still some debate if that's "dry" or fully loaded with fluids) and 600 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque, the more telling stat is its 0-124 mph time of "under 10 seconds." For those of you keeping track at home, the 2010 Porsche 911 Turbo hits 60 in 3.2 seconds, the Corvette ZR1 breaks the mark at 3.5 seconds, with the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 and Ferrari 458 Italia coming in at 3.4 and 3.3 seconds respectively

  13. Hello all, my Fumoto drain oil valve arrived, cost me only USD$27.95 including shipping. My package arrived in 18 days using US Postal Mail, not bad for USD $5/-. My 10,000km servicing is coming up. I skipped my 5K servicing by SA and did it myself. I was wondering if I bring my own oil and my Fumoto valve for my 10k km servicing, SA will install this valve for me? I also noticed that the valve comes with a fibre washer, not a copper one like the one on our drain plug. Those guys who have installed it, what washer did you use? Comments please.
