  1. Lai. Let's discuss. @Carbon82might be too busy so I start a thread for both rounds of March 2020 so it's easier if he is busy. No need to start new thread every two weeks.
  2. Lai lai Let's discuss since @Carbon82might be busy. I think COE will go down not just because of WuHan but other factors like trade with China which will affect economy and the demand for cars.
  3. It's gonna crash. When even our mod @carbon82 forget to start the thread
  4. I am looking to get a car from kah motor. It's 8 bid non guaranteed rebate 39k. What is the Chances of failing Coe and asked for TOP up? Is Kah motor good in securing Coe? Rebate level is so low
  5. I am letting go Low mileage jap car. Will there be significant diff in price if I were to sell through sgcarmart market place or sgcarmart bidding?
  6. Now that COE threads are not eligible for the top thread, no one wants to begin the next one The second bid in March is on 29 Mar 2017. Some useful links: Where to check for COE results: https://www.mytransport.sg/oneMotoring/coeDetails.html Past results for 2017 https://www.lta.gov.sg/content/dam/ltaweb/corp/PublicationsResearch/files/FactsandFigures/COE_Result_2015_2017.pdf How to bid https://www.onemotoring.com.sg/content/onemotoring/en/lta_information_guidelines/buy_a_new_vehicle/bid_coe.html COE trends: http://coe.sgcharts.com/ What's my prediction? Both Cat and B will hover around 50k, plus minus 5k Why? Well there's a lot of demand, and this pent up demand, due to the decreasing quota, the impeding tax change, and many new facelifts this year will ensure the COE stays at the current levels. So let the discussions begin
  7. First bid post CNY. Huat ah!! How to bid: https://www.lta.gov.sg/content/ltaweb/en/roads-and-motoring/owning-a-vehicle/vehicle-quota-system/certificate-of-entitlement-coe.html How do you check the ongoing bids: https://www.mytransport.sg/oneMotoring/coeDetails.html Previous results: https://www.lta.gov.sg/apps/news/page.aspx?c=2&id=16c2b5ae-a62a-4c38-b9e2-fc577fdc5fe6 Last bid results: The Land Transport Authority (LTA) received 5,732 bids at the end of the January second open bidding exercise for Certificates of Entitlement (COEs). Of these, 3,877 were successful. Detailed results of the tender are as follows: Quota Quota Premium Total Bids Received Number of Successful Bids Unused Quota carried forward NON-TRANSFERABLE CATEGORIES Category A (Cars up to 1600cc & 97kW (130bhp)) 1,846 $50,889 2,437 1,766 80 Category B (Cars above 1600cc or 97kW (130bhp)) 1,246 $52,807 1,967 1,226 20 Category D (Motorcycles) 377 $6,052 412 331 46 TRANSFERABLE CATEGORIES Category C (Goods vehicles and buses) 186 $47,001 254 173 13 Category E (Open) 400 $52,600 662 381 19 There are still unfulfilled COE orders for quite a few cars, in both Cat & B. With cars ranging from more budget ones like the 99k Corolla offers to Cat B C Class bids, so there should still be some demand. This can be balanced against the fact that the quota was recently increased and that the economy isn't doing too well. Furthermore, 20th Feb will see more info on how the diesel cars will be taxed. So some will either rush in now and enjoy the current discounts, or wait and see until more news is out.. It's still an exciting time and my personal prediction that the COE levels will remain largely the same. Uber and private hire cars are still looking for COEs and will prevent the COE from going down too low. There is a minimum level, which draws out the opportunistic bidder, these are people with spare cash, or the marginal buyer who then takes the opportunity to grab a car on the cheap. Remember the date for the next bid: 08 Feb 2017 Huat ah!!!
  8. With the much anticipated motor show ending this weekend, the 2nd round of Jan 2017 COR bidding is just round the corner. To welcome the year of rooster, what do you think this round going to turn out?
  9. Michael Jordan has lowered the price on his art deco mansion to $16 million, nearly two years after first trying to sell it for nearly twice that amount. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lf_w0olusA The house is on seven-plus acres in Highland Park, Ill., about 25 miles north of Chicago. The former NBA star first put it on the market in March 2012 for $29 million. The price was cut to $21 million nearly a year ago and then failed to sell at auction last month, when nobody made even the $13 million minimum bid. The house was built in 1995 and has nine bedrooms, 15 baths, a cigar room, and a garage big enough to hold 14 cars. There's a huge home gym. Katherine Malkin, the listing agent, said the most awesome home feature is the regulation sized basketball court. "There's nobody -- man, woman or child -- who walks on the court who is not stunned by it," she said. "The lighting, the floor, everything is so beautiful." With the court and finished lower level of the house included, the compound totals about 56,000 square feet. Outdoors is a chipping range and putting green, tennis courts, a lily pond and a huge flagstone patio. The front entrance gate sports a giant number 23 -- not for the address but, of course, for Jordan's former number. http://money.cnn.com/2014/01/03/real_estate/jordans-house/ ------------- 56,000 square feet stared bid at $13mil, and nobody bought... In Singapore, u prolly get a 1000sqft apartment in Sentosa.
