  1. Hi all, some of you might know that i used to drive a Lexus Gs450h , bought 2nd hand 7yrs old with 117K km. Although i did choose lexus for reliability , it gave me 2 big big issues one being the hybrid battery and another being the engine blew up, hence have decided to scrap the car. with the lexus , i have learnt a few things : - 3.5 road tax can die - horsepower not worth in SG, although car is silky smooth - dont buy a old hybrid car hence, I've been looking around for the next car that will not give me so much problems ( at least not so expensive ones) and have come across a friend that drives a W204 facelift model. so far since day 1 of owning the car, the car had no major problems other than a few cheap wear and tears that were very minor. anyone can share any opinion regarding the reliability of the w204 model, buying 2nd hand , and also, after the expiry of COE, will it be worthwhile to renew COE on this model? i have yet to test drive the car, but overall looks and interior quality are pretty nice IMO any opinions regarding is appreciated, or even other car suggestions are welcome too. looking at c180 or c200 model
  2. As above I am looking to buy merc C class with the promo of paying b class price for C class. Did a check on second hand ones as well but they are all in the range of 120-130K when the new one is 139K. Hmmm it seems like it is a good deal to buy brand new? Feedback anyone?
  3. I will be frank with you - There are numerous goondu drivers here in Singapore. Drivers that don't stop at the stop line, those that signal right only to filter left, and those who constantly brake despite a clear traffic flow in their path. These are some of the many goondu drivers I have come across before. However, I have yet to encounter a goondu driver like this cam car: IMG_7428.MOV.mp4 What Happened? After entering the expressway, the cam car driver gradually comes to a complete halt in the middle of a filter lane due to his inability to change lanes. As a result, the vehicles behind him, a motorcycle and a Mercedes C180, had to follow suit and slow down. However, the Mercedes C180 driver was not pleased with the cam car driver due to his poor driving ability. Not to anyone's surprise, the Mercedes driver began flashing his high beams and honking the cam car driver. The Mercedes driver then swiftly changes lanes and accelerates past the goondu cam car driver. Filter lane Essentially, the purpose of a filter lane of an expressway is to allow motorists to accelerate and merge into the expressway safely. By stopping in the middle of the filter lane, the cam car driver poses a major road hazard to fellow motorists, which could potentially cause an accident. Netizens Comments Netizens went all out against the cam car driver. Some of these comments were so blunt, it kinda hurt deep down. HAHAHA this comment is funny. I can imagine the cam car driver requesting for permission to take off😂 ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 4. hi everyone! I'm considering getting myself a c180(2nd hand). How's the car treating you? or does it have the "temperament" of conti cars, needing repair often? thanks!

  6. Dear forummers, Looking to buy either of the above. Please advise which is a better buy. It seems like C180 commands at least 10K above the 320, while the 320 has a higher OMV than C180.... Any reason on the lower resale value of the 320 ? thanks in advance. :) .
  7. 9. Any bro can advise the reliability, FC, maintenance cost,..etc for this car? I test drove once about 1 year ago, quite like it. However the rear seats is quite small for 3 adults. The selling price for 2 years old C180 is about $140K ++ which is about the same as new Camry (lower depreciation and much bigger rear legroom).
  10. Hi all bros, Intend to get 2 to 3 years old C180 Benz.. Any feedback about this car...engine,FC etc Cheers...
  11. Hi all, would appreciate feedback on the merits of this 2 cars. Obviously comments from existing C180 owners are appreciated. Not sure how BMW owners can comment since the 316 is not on the road yet but perhaps 320 owners care comment? Admittedly its not a fair comparison since 320 is 2 litre. Tks!!
  12. My dad is looking at changing his car. All 3 options have roughly the same depreciation ($600+ for 2006 Mercedes C180, $700+ for 2005 BMW 520, $700+ for 2006 Mercedes S280). As they are all cheap options, he will pay in full. He wants a car with low depreciation and cheap, but he also wants to portray a not-so-poor Ah Pek image.

    C180 Owner

I am a new C180 user recently. The second pump was like this: SPC Bill stated : 52.331 Litre (Full Tank) 480km (Last clock) FC = 9.17Km/L FC is a little high, is that normal ? Though my Cruze is heavier than C180, but it clocked 11.6 - 12.5kM/L average.
  14. Now I am convinced how Good handling of C180 at > 100km/h in the Rain ! Demonstrated by this Reckless or Impatient Driver of this Grey C180, who cut in front of me without any signal - My Rant loh !
  15. I was informed by a C&C SE that they are reducing the price of C180 and E200 Sports Edition by $5,000 this weekend. The first 80 units will enjoy guaranteed COE package, after which the following units willbe based on a non-guaranteed pacakage. C180 CGI now $193,888. Compare that with BM's Toyota Camry at $185,888. Looks like C&C may be the only AD dropping price of their entry-model best sellers, while others are increasing price - as a fall out of the recent COE bid exercise. How much the Volvo V60 T4 ah? Can compare with the C180 pricing or not?
  16. Guys, I am torn in between these 2 cars
  17. Have any comments with this 2 models?
  18. It is a nice car, good looks, good handling all, much better than its predecessor. But for the price they are selling at, about $180k, it has NO XENON LIGHTS? Should C&C be ashamed for importing the car with such low specs?? It is like the Scirocco.... Such a nice car but they deliberately import it with no xenon lights for OMV purposes.... Wtf...
  19. Hi My fren in dilema. I also not sure. Both cars 1.8L, around 160hp and 230-250Nm. A4 is CVVT, C180 is 7 g-tronic (heard got some stalling issues). Any major differences to highlight between the two? Thanks.
  20. Wanna noe the diff between these two. same engine but diff power ... diff ecu ?? pls help.... THANKS!!! "difference" sorry
  21. Can't decide which to buy? Merc, on paper, seems like a good buy but feels cramp at the back seat and the car looks small. Jaguar is less powerful but has a rather smooth engine, back seats are small, and no back seat aircon ducts. Which car have more problems that require more workshop visits? Any comments out there? Thanks
  22. Hi all, I am wondering which of these sedan you would choose? They are all priced 126k to 135k. I was thinking to add bmw323 but it cost about 148k. Both a4 and c180 are force induction. They are moddable to 200 bhp quite cheaply. Omv are... A4 40k, IS 35k and c180 39k. Annual deprec is about 10.5k.
  23. My friend is keen in the above, but cannot decide between the Sports version and normal version. Any known problems with this car? Pls give your comments.
