  2. Recently I was approached by a promoter to sell this FW1 Cleaning Wax. He did a demo on my car and it looked pretty decent. It was able to remove some paint marks due to a scratch by another vehicle. The cleaned portions also look quite glossy and feels smooth compared to the rest. Though, I don't normally wax my car nowadays. Anyone else bought to try before? I'm probably going to try it out soon after a rinse with water. The promoter said it can be used without a rinse but I'm not sure that's a good idea.
  3. Hi all, Recently I spotted many white cars on the road. Seems that white is getting more popular. Just thinking of those owners who own a white car. What I saw is that my neighbour washes his white Nissan three times a week. He told me that he send for car grooming once every six months. How do you clean and/or maintain the white paintwork and any pointers to note or share please? White is not an easy colour to maintain. Hoping to learn more tips from white car owners. Cheers!
  4. Hi, Am looking to buy car wash, caruba wax, sealant, leather care, rim cleaner, tyre cleaner and finally glass cleaner. Comparing prices from Giant online, ntuc online, autobac online and some online shops selling these products. Will be getting microfiber cloths too. Juz visited 2 auto shops at alexandra mkt area. Never ask price but their products are all very old. Anyone juz buy all those products off the shelves or go to any paricular shops in SG for better price? Brands considering, turtle, soft99, armourall, meguiar, sonax, etc. Waxco (malaysia brand, cheap but quality wise, whether on par with jap or us brands, i cant compare) any recommendations? Thanks.
  5. Hi all, Has anyone experience using some kerosene in washing or waxing (water wax) the car? Does it really damage the plastics as well? Regards
  6. Anyone here still wax their car to give additional shine even though paint protection coating has been done? Will the wax damage the coating? Any suggestions of any mobile car clean and waxing service if I don't have the energy and time to DIY? Thanks!
  7. Just tried this recently on my dad's Qashqai.. noticed that there is a large number of plastic trimming in all latest car models. Turned the plastic trim from faded white to black instantly. Am still monitoring for it's durability.. Please share your favourite choice of products !
  8. Crystal Coat: Why you should Coat instead of Wax? Paint protection systems (PPS) such as ceramic coating/glass coating are becoming increasing popular with users due to various reasons. Time Saving Better Protective properties than Wax Achieve a high standard of gloss 1.Time Saving With the traditional method of applying wax, there are multiple steps involved. Firstly, your car has to be washed with a car shampoo and dried completely. Next, a thin layer of compound or paste wax must be applied on the paintwork. After which, wait for the wax to harden before buffing off. However, with a PPS coat, you do not need to wait before buffing off which saves a huge amount of time and effort in detailing your car. 2. Better Protective Properties than Wax Another difference of Coat Vs Wax will be the level of protection that it provides. While wax may have a higher gloss unit especially if a high quality wax is used, it only gives the car a deep shine without protecting the paintwork against water marks, UV rays or Acid Rain. Also, PPS when applied frequently, causes the coat to multiply, thus extending its longevity. 3. Achieve a high standard of gloss For the effort to result ratio, there can be no doubt that using a coating will result in a more than satisfactory result in gloss for your car, furthermore, the ease of maintenance means that simple stains can be remove by just using water! This is because the layer of coat protects the stains from penetrating the core layer of the paintwork. Why spend hundreds of dollars on Paint Protection Systems (PPS) when you can DIY yourself at a fraction of the cost? Try Bullsone Crystal Coat today at 25% off your first bottle! 10. Anyone here thinks a iphone 7 Jet black challenge with ceramic coat be it 7H , 9H or nano from the advertiser will boost the image and sales of the services ? The jet black being one of the easiest to scratch. IF by any chance, a sponsor and mycarforum can help provide a platform for this poll, I believe it will path the way on the ability of the coating then just hype.

  13. I read that a layer of wax or sealant on the rims will not only protect your expensive rims but also for ease of washing the black stuffs that stick to the wheels. This is only for protection not cleaning so it is not abrasive. I found no such products in the usual shops or supermarkets. Do you use such products. What is your recommendation?
