  1. There's also a new exterior color and expanded upholstery shade choices. The 2022 Mercedes-Benz CLS 450 4MATIC arrives with a refresh that gives the coupe-inspired sedan an updated look and tweaked tech. Sales in the United States begin in early 2022, and the company isn't discussing pricing yet. The 2022 CLS now comes standard with the AMG Line styling package on the outside that includes different side sills and bits of gloss black trim. The sedan wears a revised front bumper with a more flowing design for the inlets in the lower fascia, and the front splitter is now chrome. The tweaked grille gains a three-dimensional Mercedes-Benz star pattern with a chrome-glass surface. The LED headlights are clear at the outer corner, rather than being amber on the current model. At the back, there are chrome, trapezoidal exhaust tips. A simulated diffuser runs between the pipes.
  2. We always hear the phrase "power is nothing without control" In this latest blog post, we now can show you exactly what that phrase means. Shared furiously among many Whatapp chats is a video of a recent accident involving a Nissan R35 GT-R losing control in one of the tunnels of the CTE. The matt silver GT-R which does not look stock at all, should be producing quite a bit more than the stock 480bhp (an remap will easily bring the power figures near 600bhp). It can be seen barreling along the tunnel on 11 July 2020 at quite a high speed before losing it all and smashing into the rear of a Mercedes-Benz CLS350. What did you think made the driver lose control of his AWD GT-R? Could it be a case of malfunction on the car that caused the car to go bonkers? Let us in the comment box!
  3. What's the most important thing? Stick to the end to find out! It's a good one. Like legit. A video uploaded on SG Road Vigilante has sparked a furious debate online that split netizens evenly on two sides of the coin. The video shows a Mercedes-Benz "stealing" a carpark lot from the cam car driver. Or is it really "stealing"? That is the question. The video, which was uploaded last week has since received over 260,000 views and almost 1000 comments! If you haven't seen the video, here’s the link courtesy of SG Road Vigilante's Facebook page Have you been in this situation before? In the video, cam car is patiently waiting for a carpark lot at IMM carpark for about 10 minutes. A White Mercedes-Benz CLS Class pulls up a couple of cars in front of the cam car. When the driver of the CLS (let's call him Mr CLS) spots a family walking towards the area he's waiting at; he decides to reverse to "claim more ground". Needless to say, once cam car driver notices what Mr CLS is doing, cam car inches forward to get the soon-to-be-vacant lot as he was waiting there for a long time already. Mr CLS gives him no chance to do so and reverses into the now-empty parking lot. This extra guy To make matters even worse, someone steps out of the CLS (supposedly the son of the driver) and walks over to cam car to give justification why the lot belongs to the occupants of the CLS instead of the cam car . He even makes a couple of rude gestures to the cam car once that's done. So whose lot is it? Some people say that the CLS had the right of way Calculative sia this guy and very specific too Some people jumped to the defence of the patient cam car driver The most important thing It doesn’t matter who the lot belonged to but we can all agree that on the most important thing....... This guy, is a complete a**hole Thanks Johnson! Couldn't have said so better myself.
  4. I realized that there is no discussion thread on the above thus, thought of started one. Anyone who had been through this thought process and care to share? Thanks!
  5. Upon request from the other thread I started, looking for consensus on the above 4 cars. Which one would you go for?
  6. The Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake goes to the Brabus camp for an extensive upgrade programme which gives a performance and cosmetic update. Brabus have revealed their new handiwork through the CLS Shooting Brake (CLS SB). The German tuners have not only given the trend setting station wagon a usual power boost but also a rather 'modest' cosmetic upgrade. The CLS equipped with the AMG sport package also gets the 'Brabus touch' with a new front spoiler lip, while the CLS 63 AMG is available with an additional front spoiler and fender attachments. The cosmetic kit contains the usual goodies comprising a new front spoiler, front fascia attachments with LED lamps, side skirts and fenders manufactured either from flexible high-grade plastics or carbon fibre. Different models of the CLS SB get varying kit components and power output. AMG sport package equipped CLS receives a striking front spoiler lip that can be further refined with an additional front spoiler and fender attachments. The CLS 250, 350 CDI models and the CLS 350, 500 receive the Brabus front spoiler, front fascia attachments with integrated LED daytime running lights, and sport fenders side skirts with integrated entrance lights. The CLS SB rides on Brabus Monoblock wheels in various sizes, available in six designs. A new suspension option, created in partnership with Bilstein, brings the car closer to the ground by approximately 35mm. The performance kit increases the power output of the CLS 250 CDI by 31bhp and lifts torque figure to 560Nm. The CLS 350 CDI has a raised output of 313bhp in sport mode, propelling the car to a 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. The CLS 500 with its own tuning kit, produces 500bhp and 720Nm to hit a top speed of 300 km/h. The CLS 63 AMG can generate 619bhp and 737Nm of torque, good for a century sprint of 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 320 km/h - in a station wagon that's probably as long as a light-sport aircraft. Brabus also offers a stainless-steel quad sport exhaust system with butterfly valve for the CLS 63 that can switch between a quiet 'Coming Home' mode and throaty 'Sport' mode. Exclusive interior design range from custom crafted Mastik leather and Alcantara. Scuff plates with backlit Brabus logo, a speedometer with up to a 400-km/h dial add sporty highlights. Pedals are finished in aluminum components while clear-coated carbon-fibre inlays for dashboard and center console can be finished in any desired colour or wood inlays in any desired colour and grain.
  7. [extract] Locally, the Mercedes Benz marque has always been known or seen as a rather upmarket name. Many also perceive that this brand name attracts older buyers rather than younger ones and thus the nickname
  8. On the eve of the LA Auto Show, Mercedes-Benz has taken the wraps off the 2012 CLS63 AMG, the bi-turbo V8 version of the second generation original four door coupe. AMG's mighty 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 is finding a home in nearly every new Mercedes product. Fitted to the CLS63, the blown mill is good for 518 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque in standard form. Customers can opt for the AMG Performance Package which will tune up the boost from 14.5 to 18.8 psi, resulting in a rise in output to 550 hp and 590 lb-ft of twist. Equipped with AMG's seven-gear "Speedshift" MCT automatic tranny, the CLS63 takes an estimated 4.4 seconds for the century sprint in standard guise and 4.3 seconds with the AMG package. Top speed also rises from 155 to 186 mph with the performance upgrade. In addition to the reworked engine and transmission, the front axle has been widened by nearly an inch. AMG also fitted its independent adaptive suspension with electronic damping complete with three-stage traction control system. The footwear for the CLS63 AMG comes in the form of 19 inch five-spoke wheels wrapped in 255/35 tires in front and 285/30 at the back. The brake discs are 14.2-inch in size, drilled and ventilated. A special "Launch Edition" will be available when the CLS63 goes on sale this coming summer. It has a matte grey exterior while the interior has a mix of carbon fiber and piano black interior trim. It also comes with alcantara headliner and AMG sports seats wrapped in leather.
  9. After the pictures from the official brochure were leaked on the web, Mercedes Benz has released the official pictures of the new CLS for all to see. This new generation of CLS, the vehicle that has been credited to starting the current crop of 4 door coupes like the Porsche Panamera, Aston Martin Rapide, VW Passat CC and Audi A7, is based on the current Mercedes Benz E-Class. The car is however wider, longer and even lower than the E-Class (how much more we still do not know as Mercedes has not issued any specification details as yet) and it will be the car that showcases the latest direction taken by all Mercedes Benz cars. According to reports the feature that will be prevalent in new Mercedes cars will be the front grill treatment. The new
  10. Mercedes has decided to show to the world their CLS station wagon concept ahead of its debut at the Beijing Auto Show. The car looks very production ready and it if remove that station wagon rear and imagine a boot in its place; it would be what the next generation Mercedes CLS (codenamed X218) looks like. The design seems better than expected with Mercedes basically keeping the successful CLS silhouette and adding their latest design cues like the E-class style of rear wheel arch. This, however doesn
