  1. Hi, Soundstream AC.6 + Coaxial speakers + Pioneer TS-WX120A + Installation = $800 with warranty Like to know if this is worth it. TIA. Comparing Soundstream AC.6 vs Pioneer TS-A1606C. Which is better ? I'm not going for high end ICE. Mid range is good for me. Btw, my HU is Pioneer 8850.
  2. I just transfer my Ice to my new car. The installer mention that my Dego speakers going to up lorry soon. Any recommendation of speakers ? Should I go 3 way active ? Currently is 2 way active with 8850 HU. Steg 4 channel and Rockford 2 ch amp . Using Alpine sound processor and with varadium rainbow sub.soundproof both front and back door . Rear door with coxial speakers Thinking of either upgrade to 3 way and change sub to active sub or just change a better 2 way component speakers. Any recommendation ? If change to 3 way , budget for speakers and active sub about 1k Or change 2 way comp speaker budget at $500
  3. Hello fellows, Are there any good speakers for a recommendation? Can name me a few of brand? I preferred good speakers, not the super high-end type (e.g. audiophile) because I do not intend to put the woofer in my car anymore as I need the space. So when I have the low taken away, I need to get a replacement to cover it. Again, I do not that super low end as well.
  4. Hi everyone, As above, want to know how to qualify used component speaker is good condition to buy? I come across a demo speaker on sales, is pretty good high end speaker, feel like buying but I saw two small finger press on the cone, guess is demo speaker ppl hand like to touch touch. The price of the speaker is 500 plus, demo set sell at $400. Does it mean the speaker is gone case? The press is not deep in just like a mark on the cone. I wonder is this condition consider spoilt? Regards
  5. Dear sifus, I know it can be a hassle to explain everything to a newbie in ICE. I do enjoy listening to good music at home and on my digital player. So can appreciate good music but just new to ICE. I would like advice on what should i do or get. I would like to do everything at once. Music i listen to - Vocals - Instrumental - Rock/concert sometimes Medias i listen to: - CDs - Digital lossless formats My car - Toyota Vellfire (has 2 front speaker locations and 1 rear speaker location for each side of the car) Items i think i need to change (correct me if i'm wrong) - change stock HU - change Front speakers with Component for tweeters - change Rear speakers to coaxial? - Add subwoofer - Add amplifier - Do soundproofing I'm not very particular as i know i'm listening in a car. And at most during weekdays spending about 1-1.5hrs in total in the car, weekends should be more. But i would appreciate some good music to listen to for the drives. Budget: $3k max? Thx for assistance.
  6. Stage 1 Gonna start an audio system upgrade on Qashqai J11 In many occasion, the first to upgrade a car stereo is the speaker, head unit and addition amp. Often sound isolation or acoustic treatment is being left out in the equation. There are 4 main things to consider in car audio. 1. Speakers. 2. Amplification. 3. Source.(head unit). 4. If Acoustic treatment were to be in the last stage, there is a possibility of retuning the system again. (dismantle of parts, cover, speaker etc .) Noise deadeners can help reduce these annoyances. Just using an inexpensive door kit can make your speakers sound better by damping the resonance around the speaker area. If your vehicle has a lot of ambient noise, applying a vibration damper can give you a quieter, more relaxing ride.   7. Looking for either this 2 brands. budget $600 or below per pair. Heard from friend said Hertz good in speaker and audison good in amp . True?? 2) 5 1/4 or 6 1/2 which is better for mid bass ? saw some forum mention 6 1/2 much much better. true ???
