  4. 1. Does pps just make washing easier or it offer significant advantages? 2. Can frequent manual waxing achieve the same result as pps? 3. I understand frm one detailer, dust n dirt can penetrate wax and might damage the paint but not pps. 4. I understand frm one detailer waxing might damage clear coating whereas pps protect it. 5. I understand from my thread here ppl claim pps protect against fine scratches and swirl mark 6. The avg price of high end pps reach 800 to 1k. Is service available for remove and respray of clear coat.? If yes, what's the avg price. If similar, won't respray be a better option?

  10. Ever since i stopped detailing, i had been trying to find a good detailer to help in applying opticoat for my customers, for those recoating and new customers. Finally i chance upon this detailing centre located at one of the mscp in yishun. It was through recommendation from my uncle that probably this detailer maybe able to help me. I decided to gave Miracle detail a call to enquire if they can help to prep and apply opticoat for one of my customer who just collected his land rover evoque. Without much question, the guy i spoke to agreed. My customer had contacted me a few times to see if i have any detailer that could coat opticoat straight after collecting his car if not he will have to send back to the detailer that have opti coated his first car at a premium cost. At last i told him i had contacted one detailer that is able to do it and probably cost will be lower too. The question is can this Miracle detail do a good job? The appointment was today 10am. Once reach, we proceed to wash bay and so coincidence, i know this detailer and this gave me more confidence now. Singapore really small. Lol. Talk less..we proceed to the shop after car wash. My surprise, this shop is well equipped. Flex tools, spot lighting, brinkmamn inspection light etc. The cutting compound use was 3m. My customer was even more confidence with the shop now and he went for a premium package. The process, very detailed job. Each person doing each side of the car. Spot lighting on the surface and door panels. They even bring down the curtain to block the day light ensuring the place is dark enough for the inspection light to show the defects. This one really surprise. I would say even some of the shops does not have this gadgets or equipment. Cut it short, after applying ipa, is really bare metals now and ready to be coated. Lots of photos will be uploaded. This shop provide top notch service. Proper lighting and equipment is the most important tools a detailer need for paint correction. Prices are not expensive at all. Both are young bosses who hands on themselves and show great passion for detailing. Location is good, windy, near to coffeeshop amd 10mins walk to yishun mrt and northpoint. Overall i would recommend this shop if you want to do a detail.

So decide to drop by my mum place to pass her some new year goodies. Came back 2pm washing bay also full, ppl polishing and waxing their ride at the washing bay. It seems like ppl only detail their ride during CNY. Anyone has the same experience as me?
  21. Just spent 6hrs with my partner to detail this cayman. What a sexy ride! It was a joy going over the curves while applying the sealant and seeing the finish. Here's the process: 1) Wash and clay 2) Orange LC pad with 3M ultrafina and Meg's Paint conditioning creme on PC 3) Grey LC pad with 3M Ultrafina for the "jewelling" effect on PC 4) Wash and Blow Dry (kekeke, used a leaf blower to dry the car to minimise chances of scratching the car cos the paint is quite soft) 5) 1 layer Ultima Paint Guard Plus 6) Exterior trim dressing Heres some pics of the defects: After polishing:
  22. 25. Members, just got my car 3 weeks back. What is your advise or experiance, shd I go ahead to detial it, before any scratch or swirl marks come in ? what do I do ? or shd I wait till later ? Also, after washing the wheels with some ma ma lemon, while the wheels are nice and shine, it always cause the creeking sound when you apply the brakes. I believe this is becos some lubricant must have been washed off . Anyone tried applying some lubrication oil after washing ? It occurred to me that maybe when you're doing the detailing work, wearing a mask will be a good idea. I do think some of the product we use to detail our rides do contain chemicals, unlike before when products contain less chemicals. Cheers !
