  1. I know the marketing team was popping bottles when the videos came out on social media. What happened? A convoy of modded (modified) cars were promoting the premiere of Fast X, the tenth movie in the Fast and Furious franchise. Some pretty cool cars took part, an assortment of GTR R35s and Ford Mustangs among others. However, in true Fast & Furious fashion, some complications happened. On their way to the movie, the convoy was stopped by traffic police and LTA, who happened to be there to conduct routine checks. Despite the hold up, the cars passed inspection and eventually arrived at Shaw Theatres for the premiere of the movie. According to Facebook user Daryl Giam, it was an official event organised by Vos Automotive, The Next Thing, AutoCulture Singapore & United International Pictures Singapore. Online chatter Oddly enough there were quite a few people disliking the cars. Like almost all the comments were calling for the cars to be taken away. 2. TL;DR - Two cars were seen beating the red light at Jurong Gateway, clearly intentional from the way they slowly inched out bit by bit over the stop line. GOAT stands for Greatest of All Time. As the name suggests, GOAT is an internet slang initialism used to compliment an honorable mention. But not in this case. Watch this 63-second shocker to know what I mean. What happened? These two drivers were seen not conforming to the traffic light as they budged out of the stop line. As long as you have a bit of common sense, when the traffic light turns red and a green man appears, it means cars are supposed to stop for pedestrians to cross the road. We don’t need Albert Einstein’s IQ to know that. Do you reckon these two drivers firmly believe this is really their grandfather’s road? Or are they playing a game of drag race? Nobody asked but I would root for the Kodiaq, simply because it has a higher horsepower than the Cerato. (Not to mention, the Cerato also had a head start so it’s sort of playing ‘cheat’ here). Source: Sgcarmart Source: Sgcarmart Online Chatters They see me rollin', they hatin'... Regardless, it should be every driver’s utmost priority to be a safe driver not just for themselves but also for the wellbeing of other users. 3. <Dodge Sets 2024 Death Date For Charger And Challenger To Make Way For The Brand's "eMuscle" The best selling muscle cars in America will be gone in the next two years as Dodge transitions EVs Dodge Charger and Challenger Jailbreak models. Image: Dodge It’s finally happening: The Dodge Charger and Challenger muscle machines will be no more by 2024. Motor Trend spoke with Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis about the brand’s plans for the next two years as the company tries to appease muscle fans and appeal to EV buyers. Kuniskis is aware that a lot of people won’t be happy with the direction the brand is taking (he’s already receiving death threats for the changes). He calls it, “feeding the beast.” Image: Dodge The discontinuation of the Charger and Challenger, and the start to the brand’s EV models are all a bigger part of its “Never Lift” plan. Within the 24 months of the plan, Dodge plans to release special editions of each departing model: Editions they think will get people talking like the recently introduced Jailbreak. It’s really more of a softening of the blow to muscle car fans who will soon be robbed of their Hemi fix from the brand. Image: Dodge So, you’re asking, “what’s replacing the Charger and Challenger?” Those of you waiting for an EV muscle car won’t have to wait long. Kuniskis says a concept version of the “muscle EV” is coming in the next four or five months. And in a surprising nod to automotive outlets, it’ll be able to be driven and tested. Dodge also has a plug-in hybrid expected to go into production at the end of 2022. We speculate it may be a version of the Durango, but Kuniskis didn’t say whether or not the Durango would be moving to a new platform or if the model would be around at all. A third new model is also in the works. Kuniskis is light on details, but says “The third one is going to be a very, very, very, significant car at the end of the year.” And in a move that should make our very own Jason Torchinsky very happy, Dodge’s made up Fratzog badge will be used exclusively on EVs. Whatever floats your boat, or rather, charges your batteries. So you muscle car fans who are mad about this: calm down. Chances are the power output is even better than your Hemis anyways, and it needs to be done for the planet. You can expect these new models to take the stage at major auto shows next year, presumably in Dodge’s Detroit home, at the North American International Auto Show.>
  4. Shooting of the Fast and Furious 9 has already commenced and someone has spotted the new Toyota Supra on the set of the car action movie. Filming is currently taking place at Tbilisi, Georgia, where some action-packed stunts have taken place. Thanks a Instagram user, we can also see that a orange Supra will feature in the 9th installment of the movie, a nod to the original that was driven by the late Paul Walker. Other than that, the article on Car and Driver also reported that a black 1970 Dodge Charger was present on the set. You can bet that the car will be driven by Vin Diesel’s character, Dominic Toretto. Filming of Fast and Furious 9 will visit to a number of other countries before it wraps up, with the release date set on 10th of April 2020.
  5. The ever popular movie 'The Fast and the Furious' is about to come to its 6th installment. As a matter of fact, you'll be witnessing 'Fast and Furious 6' on the silver screen worldwide starting May 24th. As always, we've got used to sports, exotic, and tuned cars in the series. However, we've never got to see a BMW M5 in them in spite of what the car has to offer. With that being said, it's about time the model makes its debut. So, in this 6th installment, besides other very interesting cars, there'll be around a dozen of BMW M5s. Nonetheless, don't expect to see the current model as all those 12 cars will be the V10-revving E60 model. Personally, I think the model looks attractive even when it is in a complete standstill mode, not to mention when it is involved in a highly intense full throttle action thriller. The design cues are attractive, both on the front and rear fascias, so attractive that some people in Indonesia even nicknamed it 'the eagle eye'. Unfortunately, according to 'Fast and Furious 6' Car Coordinator, Dennis McCarthy, the person in charge of setting up the cars for you to see on the big screen, most of the 'eagle eyes' had to be destroyed while filming. What a pity
