  1. I saw some condos with balcony but there is no sink holes for water to drain out. How would the owner keep the area dry when it rains? Can buyer get a renovator to install one if there are none?
  2. I feel abit violated liao. Used to swim there after my occasional JB trips. Any bros swim @ Woodlands Swimming Pool? http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/singaporeseen/this-urban-jungle/what-are-these-weird-holes-doing-in-cubicles-of-the-mens-toilet-at-woodlands What are these weird holes doing in cubicles of the men's toilet at Woodlands Swimming Complex? A regular swimmer was worried when he spotted holes on the walls of the cubicles of Woodlands Swimming Complex, which looked like they have been drilled in by someone. After a swim session just last Saturday (Jul 12), Stomper Richard noticed a hole on the wall of the showering cubicles of the men's toilet . Upon closer look, he realised three of the cubicles had the same hole and that one could peek through them. He wrote: "I am a regular swimmer in Woodlands Swimming Complex and my son also attends swimming lessons regularly in the same pool. There are times he will attend the lessons by himself because we are staying opposite the swimming complex. "When I was showering in one of the cubicles at the male changing room that is furthest from the exit, I noticed some greyish spots on the cubicle wall. "I took a closer look and realised it is a small hole that one could peek through to the adjacent cubicle. The greyish spots looks like cement that had been used to cover the hole but was dug out again. "The location of the peek hole is purposely positioned at the crotch level and one can only imagine the "uses" for this hole. "I checked the walls of other cubicles and was shocked to discover the other cubicles walls all had similar peek holes. "As a father, how can I let my primary school age son use the shower facilities in the men's toilet with a peace of mind when there are potential sick perverts peeking at their private parts? Our children's modesty is at stake."
  3. I was driving this morning around 6.30AM and 6.30PM on PIE toward Tuas. In between the spilt of KJE and PIE (Tuas) all the way to Pioneer North Exit, I witness abotu 5 Pot Holes on the road. Quite a big one. Wonder anyone else seen it? Anyway, I just called LTA to ask them go repair NOW, before an accident happens on this rainy season.
  4. .....while we idolise them as high-end ang mor "talents". So pathetic lah, we are. Sigh, nevermind.... As high-end talents, they are always right, we are always wrong. That is why they are here to teach us that we are Asian As*holes. http://www.asiaone.com/News/Latest%2BNews/...112-321479.html By Goh Shi Ting RazorTV Thursday, Jan 12, 2012 NUS Professor Dr Denisa Kera has apologised to her neighbours at Chip Bee Gardens for their loss of peace and privacy in the midst of a dispute between her and her next-door neighbour Mr Ivan Loh. Mr Loh has called in the police six times over the past nine months to complain about the noise levels at Dr Kera's house parties. However, Dr Kera insists she has not stepped out of line. "I'm just a researcher, a normal person in my late 30s. I don't think I make much more noise than any person in their late 30s," said Dr Kera who is from Prague and has been staying in Singapore since 2008. Even though Mr Loh observed that his neighbour has kept quiet since the first media reports were published last week, he is not letting the matter rest. "My course has moved slightly because Singapore needs to know what kind of lecturer we have," said the 41-year-old photographer who lives with his wife and a 1-year-old baby. "The moral standards of the person must be upheld, if not how do you teach our children of the future?" Mr Loh told RazorTV that he made sound recordings of the noise coming from his neighbour's, while he was in his living room. On one occasion, he said the police was called in but after they had left, the noise level from Dr Kera's house was still the same. What appalled Mr Loh further was that he could hear the words "Asian a-----es" in the conversations which took place subsequently. "What kind of foreigners are these people, coming to our country and saying things like that?" he said. Dr Kera, however, said that her friends were watching a foreign film that evening and were merely commenting on the plot; the remark had nothing to do with her neighours. "We were watching a Serbian movie with some very negative stereotypes about Serbs. It was a comedy, about a Singaporean delegation of businessmen visiting Serbia and being shocked to see what Serbians do," she explained. "I honestly don't understand why they [her neighbours] get the feeling it concerns them. "I find it strange that people stalk other people and take recordings of what goes on in someone's house. "I also want to apologise just to Singaporeans to have to witness this ridiculous dispute about expats and Singaporeans, which has nothing to do with one noise dispute. "If people start to use this dangerous argument any time they have a personal problem with someone, where will we end?" Dr Kera said that she had apologised to Mr Loh repeatedly for an incident last April, when she was out of town and a party was held at her house.

  10. 14 years in the making and i don't even know such thing exist! should i say wow? "Will the Large Hadron Collider save the world, or destroy it? As the atom-smasher at Europe's CERN research center is readied for its official startup on Wednesday, researchers might wish that the general public was captivated by the quest for the Higgs boson, the search for supersymmetric particles and even the evidence for extra dimensions. But if the feedback so far is any guide, the real headline-grabber is the claim that the world's most powerful particle-smasher could create microscopic black holes that some fear would gobble up the planet...." http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24556999/
