  1. Can somebody tell me the diff between these 2 car? As in the exterior. How to diff them without looking the interior/engine bay? One of the picture is Jazz while the other is Fit. cheers people.
  2. Prayers to the motorcyclist's family. What happened? A Honda Jazz cut off and side swiped a motorcyclist at Yishun Avenue 1 on 23 July 2023, around 9.30 A.M. This sent the motorcyclist off his bike and knocked his helmet off as well, leaving his head unprotected as he crashed onto the tarmac. The motorcyclist laid still on the ground, and another rider who went past the motorcyclist as the incident took place, but stopped and went over to check on the victim. The person who provided the footage claimed to have returned to the scene and reported to the police after dropping off their wife, who called the ambulance. It is unknown if the Honda Jazz had motive or if it was simply reckless driving. Online Chatter Some facebook users who claimed to be the victim’s father-in-law and cousin have commented under the post saying that he is in a comatose state in the ICU. Others sent well wishes for the victim’s recovery, and called for the driver to face justice and dealt with severely. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 3. See lah, now so many people cut queue on the Causeway that others need to do things like this. What happened? A Honda Jazz driver on the Woodlands Checkpoint crossing has apparently had enough bad experiences, as they have resorted to keeping their door open to block people from cutting the queue. This has since gone viral as people laughed at the idea, or mocked it. Though in the wake of many drivers caught on camera misbehaving, maybe this will catch on? Online chatter At least a few people thought it was a good idea. Others came up with alternate reasons for why the door was open. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 4. TLDR - Camcar is trying to do a three point turn, uncle does not let him and unleashes his limited vocabulary Love watching adults act like children when those same adults probably criticise my generation. What happened? A camcar at Buangkok link was trying to do a 3-point turn when a Honda Jazz operated by an unpleasant uncle was blocking him from completing the manoeuvre. The camcar was quoted in the Facebook post saying that he was trying to exit a corner loading lot to do a 3-point turn. However, he needed more space to complete the turn as the kerb and walkway was on the right of his car. Wanting him to shift his car, the camcar let out a quick beep to catch the Honda driver’s attention. But instead of shifting, the Honda instead reversed to block his way. Of course, the video starts with the uncle in the Jazz being the aggressor, so we have no way to verify the camcar’s story. Nonetheless, the uncle’s behaviour certainly doesn’t help his case. The uncle instantly starts with flipping the bird. He then honks and shakes his flipped bird as if it somehow does some mental damage to the camcar. Instead, it gives me mental damage knowing people like this exist. Impressively, he challenges the camcar by bidding him forward, all while keeping his middle finger extended. That takes practice. A bystander off-camera comes along and some exchanges in a Chinese dialect take place. Unfortunately, I can’t translate so if anyone understands do put it in the comments below. The whole video is pretty much the back and forth between the camcar and uncle, with mostly swearing on the uncle's end. But I’ll leave with my favourite bit in the video. clideo_editor_d4998cebb5804692a790bbac2755e623.mp4 Bro, you cannot tell me that if you raised the pitches of their voices, it would not sound like children. Online chatter There was an abundance of jokes about the uncle’s middle finger. Others questioned if the uncle genuinely reacted that way or if the camcar was hiding the footage of what happened before all this. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 5. thinking of changing from a coe jazz to a parf golf. my coe for my jazz is till 2024 april. been searching on sgcarmart and carousell almost every other day. im aware volkswagens have a spotty reputation for longevity especially used ones but i've done my calculations and im prepared to set aside a budget to repair some concerns, other than possible chance of a failing mechatronic, clutch, water pump, leaks, anything else to look out for? looking at this particular consignment unit, with the intention to renew for another 10 years but pqp might be too crazy then https://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.php?ID=1123969&DL=3414
  6. TL;DR - P-plate Honda Jazz collided with a lorry and smashed into the road divider, resulting in a massive traffic jam as lanes were blocked. Watch this epic 33-second clip of the Jazz getting rekt by the lorry before going head in on the road divider. What happened? The ballsy P-plate Jazz driver allegedly sped and crashed into a lorry, cannon into the road divider before overturning. Turns out the car is also rented from Tribecar, as pointed out by netizens who spotted the decal. Mad accident that definitely could have been avoided if the driver was more cautious. Especially so when she is still under probation. The accident not only caused a crazy jam along the Pan-Island Expressway on a Saturday afternoon, five of them were also conveyed to the hospital. Aiyo, don’t need to action lah… Anyway the car no turbo! Also, side note, can we talk about how impressive the ComfortDelGro taxi was, to be able to shun the Jazz so swiftly while still staying in lane after. Fast reflexes man, thumbs up for you! Online Chatter Time to drink kopi with the police liao… She was arrested for careless driving, causing hurt to others. Oh well, no thanks to the driver for carrying on the stereotype that female drivers are bad drivers. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 7. TL:DR – SMRT taxi abruptly stops on lane 1 of an expressway for reasons unknown and causes a massive chain collision in its wake before driving off, oblivious to the destruction it caused behind. There are idiot drivers everywhere Our latest example drives a SMRT taxi. Watch the video below to find out why. Here’s the rear-view camera footage The SMRT taxi abruptly stops just before an ERP gantry on lane 1. The alert cam car driver comes to a complete stop as well. One or two cars manage to avoid crashing into cam car by quickly changing to lane 2 before the chain collision occurs. Only Asian cars involved Besides the cam car (which I cannot identify), there’s a Mazda 3. A Toyota Altis. Or what looks like a Toyota Altis. (It became a hatchback after the crash). And of course, the unsuspecting Honda Fit (poor fella) that crashed into the Altis, causing the chain collision. Facebook Post by driver of Cam Car Online Chatter Upon exploring the comments, we managed to uncover a bit more about the incident. The cam car driver took the time to reply most of the comments. Maybe the taxi driver didn't notice what was happening behind him? He's still an idiot driver though. I needed to translate because my Chinese sucks. Yeah, this is the most likely scenario. If I’m not wrong, he’ll be claiming from the Mazda 3 driver and the Mazda 3 driver will claim from the Toyota Altis. Then the Altis will claim from the Honda Fit. But, what about the main culprit of this incident? The SMRT Taxi driver? ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. Join us today!
  8. TL;DR – A Honda Fit cuts into the path of a cam car in an extremely reckless manner, nearly causing an accident. Caption from the video post on Roads.sg Facebook page. Watch the 10-second video below to find out what it means. What happened The incident occurred along Bukit Panjang Ring Road at about 6.45pm on 7th of December 2022. A blue/purple Honda Fit filters onto the main road and immediately changes lane recklessly. This abrupt lane change causes cam car to jam the brakes and depress the horn. It’s a short one today but let this serve as a public service announcement of sorts. Moral of the story There will always be idiots on the roads like this. It doesn’t mean that nothing will happen to you even if you have the right of way. Keep that in mind folks. Online Chatter As always, let’s see what people have to say. True stories. It refers to the Honda Fit. Just in case anyone’s wondering. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. Join us today!
  9. TL;DR – A Honda Fit turns right onto oncoming traffic and casually makes an illegal U-turn straight after. It’s not every day you get to see a small hatchback like a Honda Fit make a super-wide U-turn. How wide, you ask? Like driving against oncoming traffic before making an illegal U-turn kind of wide. Watch the 31-second video to find out what I mean. What happened It all begins at a discretionary right turn at a cross junction, location unidentifiable (if you know where this is, do let me know in the comments section below). A Honda Fit makes the turn but accidentally turns into oncoming traffic. While most drivers would hit that panic button at this point, this Fit driver calmly makes an illegal U-turn, cool as a cucumber. A very expensive u-turn As noted in the caption of the post in Roads.SG's Facebook page: But there are some other considerations as well: Driving without due care or reasonable consideration for other road users – 9 demerit points and $300 fine Reckless or dangerous driving – 24 demerit points and prosecution in court Personally, it feels like an accident, and the driver made a calm and composed decision to rectify the mistake as soon as it was safe to do so. But as always, let’s see what netizens think. Online Chatter Hmm. Doesn’t seem like it though. That's quite funny. Is this comment targeted at the driver, or the comments flaming the driver? I'm confused. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. Join us today!
  10. Honda's a genius in churning out state-of-the-art small cars. Here's why. The 2014 Honda Jazz is 4cm shorter but it offers 138 liters more cabin-space volume and nearly 13cm of extra rear legroom - compared to the predecessor. Here's how Honda engineers eked out extra room in a shorter car. For starters, Jazz's wheelbase has been stretched further apart by 3cm allowing its rear seat bench to move back outwardly by 7.6cm. Next, engineers made the centrally-mounted fuel tank located beneath the front seats thinner liberating more space for passengers but retains the same liter-volume as previous models. Plus, the new Jazz could be served in a hedonic shade of lemonade yellow to go with its packaging.

  13. Hi, Anyone know where to repair auto flip side mirror, one side of the mirror not working. Workshop told me to replace both side mirror with respray at $400 plus. Not sure if repair option is available in the market?
  14. Hey all, I further narrowed down my choice to the following 3 choices based on Fuel Consumption, Comfort and Handling after test driving 5 car models (Elantra, Kia K3, Mazda 3, Vezel, Jazz RS). I eliminated Hyundai Elantra because new model is coming out and high FC. Price is also close to Jap rivals. Eliminated KIA K3 because of same reason with Elantra, plus listed price of $84,999 stated that must trade in existing car, if not its $86,999. My as well get Jap car. If you clock 30,000km a year and you need to use your car primarily to transport your family to work and school and use it for your work secondarily. Which of these 3 models will you buy and why? 1) Honda Jazz RS $90,999 Responsive gear box, Best fuel consumption, Interior quite comfy for hatch back, pick up is best as compared to other two. Down side is 2 airbags only, small boot space and small car. Add Ons -3 year free servicing -Solar Film -Free Road Tax -Can use own insurance 2) Honda Vezel 1.5X $94,999 Most comfortable of the 3 cars listed here. Stable and good view when driving. Highest FC among the 3. Most exp among the 3. PI car has its risk. Add Ons -3 free servicing only -Solar Film -Can use own insurance 3) Mazda 3 Standard $89,988 Comfort is in the mid range of the 3, FC is also mid range. Good handling just like the Honda RS. Pick up not as good as Honda RS. Most luxurios interior among the 3 with sunroof. No fog lamps, halogen headlights. Add Ons -3 year free servicing only -Solar Film -Free Road Tax -SE giving free Reverse cam + In built GPS for the standard version. All views welcome please, especially from current car owners driving any of the cars listed.
  15. This shall be an ongoing thread. Based on latest pricelist information, Jazz 1.5 at 95,999 (coe rebate 47k). Come and share all available information :)
  16. It seems that Asian automakers somehow have the ability to manufacture pretty interesting super-mini cars. Take a look at the Mitsubishi Mirage, for example. It seems like Mitsubishi tried to shrink the car so that it can just fit into the A-segment. However, with Honda, things seem to change a little bit as the Japanese automaker seems to be lean towards practicality. You see, instead of competing in the A-segment as well just like the Mirage does, the Honda Fit (also known as the Jazz here) plays in the B-segment and it's quite big too. Carrying a chunky boot capacity of 335 litres, I think the Fit is a leader in its class. However, if you are satisfied with the boot capacity of the current generation Honda Fit, you may feel happier to know that Honda is already preparing the next generation Honda Fit that carries a total of 400 litres when it comes to bringing along your stuffs. Yes, you heard it right, it's the 2014 all new Honda Fit that's in the works! The car will make its first bow to the public of its home country by the end of 2013, after which it will also go global. But thanks to these accompanying Japanese scans, we're not going to have to wait that long just to know how the car will possibly look like. These scans manage to show us some parts of the car, including the interior and possible colour choices - two of which seem to be very bright neon colours - that Honda will be offering for its latest Fit. While the car is supposed to play in the B-segment still, it has grown a little, by 60mm (that's around a little above 2 inches). So, the car now measures 3,960mm. Well, don't be disappointed if you're keen on practicality that comes from a smaller size. The smaller the size of the car is, the easier it is for you to manoeuver through traffic, right? But, the good news is that passengers will have more spacious legroom, thanks to the wheelbase that now has a length of 80mm. This growth in size is probably partially due to the new architecture the car is being built upon. I believe it is this new architecture that Honda will also use in order to produce its very first SUV/crossover in the B-segment. Well, honestly, the car looks modern and is also prettier than the previous generation Honda Fit, although it does look kind of boxy in a few spots. The car also borrows a transparent nose that we've come to know from the Honda Civic hatchback of the previous generation. Now, let's get to the most important part of a car - under the hood. With the 2014 Honda Fit, we'll have the privilege to choose between a 1.2-litre and a 1.4-litre VTEC petrol engines. And, if we choose the latter, we'll also be able to choose a six-speed automatic transmission. Yet, for those who live in the European continents of this world, a 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel engine that produces 120bhp is also an available option. Actually, I would say that there's still one engine that Honda will probably offer with its 2014 all new Fit. That would be the hybrid engine with a total capacity of 1,500cc in addition to a power output of 110bhp. This engine is previously used by the Civic as well. However, this engine will only see the light of day provided that the seemingly hybrid car pictured in the scans is actually a hybrid car indeed. Despite a bigger size than its older brother, the car maintains a light weight. This is possible thanks to the fact that the head and block utilises aluminium alloy. So, with its bigger size that makes for more spacious legrooms, do you think that the 2014 All New Honda Fit is still practical enough for you to be interested in? If you feel like sharing your thoughts, the comment section below may be your best friend.
  17. The Honda Jazz (also known as Fit in some countries) is a popular car model on this island and many people associate it as a daily drive. You can virtually see them at almost every car park. To see it as a rally car would be something different and that is what Honda has done for the Jazz in Australia. Honda Australia recently unveiled two new Mugen tuned Jazz rally cars which will be used for the 2012 Bosch Australian Rally Championship (ARC). It is said to be the fastest Honda Jazz in the world and they have been designed to meet Group 2 (G2) specifications. The basis for the new G2 specifications is for the usage of front or rear wheel drive cars that are available for sale in Australia and the model must not be more than seven years old. Honda has increased its involvement in the ARC rally events this year with drivers from Evan Motorsport; Mark Pedder, Claire Ryan, Eli Evans and Glen Weston. Evans Motorsport has competed in rally events for more than thirty years and family members of Eli Evans are heavily involved in them. The Mugen 2.0 litre engine delivers over 200bhp and 193Nm of torque. Eli Evans and Glen Weston used a Honda Civic Type R for the past two years and they will start using the Jazz from this year onwards. The director of Honda Australia, Stephen Collins, mentioned that they are thrilled to be participating with Evans Motorsport racing the G2 Jazz and Honda is extremely passionate about racing and is proud to continue its support of Australian rallying with Evans Motorsport. The 2012 Bosch Australian Rally Championship comprises of 6 events held throughout Australia and will kick off on the 2nd of March in Melbourne. Honda founder Soichiro Honda once said that
  18. In order to gain the upper hand in the subcompact car market segment, Honda has unveiled the new 2012 Honda Fit in the United States (Honda Jazz in some countries). The 2nd generation Fit is one of Japan's more popular subcompact hatchback (with a total of more than 500 lots, there are more than 20 examples at my housing parking lot alone). First introduced in late 2007, for the 2008 model year, it is about time that this model gets an update. The Fit lineup continues unchanged into 2012, and still consists of the base Fit and the Fit Sport. Both get new cup holders, console ambient lighting, and additional sound insulation in the floor, front fenders, and A-pillars
