  1. For your reading pleasure 12 ways to zhng your Vezel without breaking the bank http://www.sgcarmart.com/news/events_features.php?AID=3360 We haven't seen an invasion like this since the Allies stormed Normandy back in 1944. No, we're not talking about war here, we're talking about the ubiquitous Honda Vezel. These popular crossovers present themselves at every junction and every turn, making it practically impossible to get through two traffic lights without crossing paths with one of them. Plus, with private-hire services like Uber and Grab offering affordable rental schemes, drivers are now able to 'own' a Vezel at a much lower premium. This leads to a problem for Vezel owners. How do you stand out in a sea of lookalikes? Fret not, here's a list of 12 affordable items you can pick up to zhng your Vezel and enhance your driving experience. Scuff plates keep the interior of your door sills in mint condition 1. Scuff plates with LED illumination ($180) Clumsy passengers in high heels constantly scuffing up your door sills will now be a thing of the past, thanks to Premier Auto Pte Ltd's scuff plates. These scuff plates not only keep the interior of your door sills in mint condition by protecting them from dings and dents, they also add a touch of elegance to your sweet-looking ride. Bright blue LED lights built into the scuff plates illuminate the flanges of your Vezel's side body panels for a more aesthetically-pleasing cabin. Premier Auto Pte Ltd is offering a set of four scuff plates at $180, which includes installation. Check out Premier Auto's Honda Vezel scuff plates. Boot tray ($55) Storing junk in the trunk couldn't be any easier with SgGarage's Honda Vezel boot tray. Mud, grease, sand and other nasty stuff are a pain in the neck to get rid of, especially when they come into contact with a car's interior. A boot tray allows you to store items like wet umbrellas and muddy boots, keeping foreign particles off the floor of your boot and making the cleaning process a breeze. It can also be conveniently removed and washed, which is a whole lot easier than working your fingers to the bone trying to remove grease from your boot. SgGarage Address: 11 Yishun Industrial Street 1 #01-119 North Spring Bizhub Singapore (768089) Contact number: +65 9785 6612 Website: www.SgGarage.com A rear bumper protector protects your boot trim from getting banged up 3. Stainless steel rear bumper protector Are you constantly loading and unloading heavy equipment? Do you have to be extra cautious when storing heavy items in your boot? Panel beating and bodywork can be expensive and time consuming, that's why we've got just the thing for you. Tri King's rear bumper protector runs the length of the Vezel's rear bumper and is machined from stainless steel, which ensures a durable scuff plate that is able to withstand prolonged abuse. It also adds a rugged off-roader look to your Vezel. Door visor ($75) Rain drops are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin'. Clearly, B.J. Thomas had no idea what door visors do. These unassuming pieces of moulded plastic keep rain water out while you have the windows slightly open. They come in handy for times when you have to crack a window if you're feeling cold on a rainy day, or if you just need some fresh air. SgGarage is selling a set of door visors for $75, which come with corresponding clips. These durable door visors are designed to withstand the rigours of driving and exposure to the elements, and are estimated to last for more than a decade. Find out more about SgGarage's door visor. Side step ($380) Getting into an SUV can be challenging at times, especially for the kids and their grandparents, due to a higher ground clearance and larger wheels. The solution? Get a side step for your Vezel. Side steps are helpful for pint-sized individuals or occupants who are unable to muster up enough strength to take that big step. Besides providing an additional platform for passengers to board a higher-riding vehicle, a side step also protects car doors and side panels from stones and dirt kicked up by the tyres. Premier Auto Pte Ltd Address: 1 Bukit Batok Crescent #03-26 WCEGA Plaza Singapore (658064) Contact number: +65 6316 9033 The Steelmate TP-S3E features four anti-theft external sensors with an adjustable alert pressure value range 6. Steelmate TP-S3E External Tyre Pressure Monitoring System It's common for many drivers to overlook the job of regularly inflating their car tyres since tyres tend to be 'out of sight, out of mind'. However, properly inflated tyres are safer, give a more comfortable ride and reduce fuel consumption. Couple that with the fact that Honda Vezels do not come with spare tyres, and you have a ticking time bomb waiting to blow. A quick and easy solution is the Steelmate TP-S3E External Tyre Pressure Monitoring System by ZMC Automotive. It features four anti-theft external sensors with an adjustable alert pressure value range, a flexible display for easy mounting and interchangeable pressure units (bar/PSI). StandartPlast Silver Soundproofing ($45) Road and wind noise are commonplace in less premium cars like the Honda Vezel and can get tiresome. Not to worry, that can be easily fixed with some soundproofing material. StandartPlast Silver Soundproofing is made from a flexible multi-layered vibration damping material with a butyl rubber-based polymer layer and an aluminium foil outer surface. It comes with a layer of self-adhesive glue for easy installation. This flexibility allows the StandartPlast to be applied to uneven surfaces while providing maximum vibration damping and doubling up as a sealant. Xado 1 Stage New Car Atomic Metal Conditioner If your Vezel is still in the running-in phase, or if you're planning to purchase one in the near future, Xado helps make the entire process a whole lot smoother. The Xado 1 Stage New Car Atomic Metal Conditioner provides top level engine protection for new cars. It ensures the accurate adjustment of a new engine's parts during the running-in phase and compensates for wear-out during operation. A common complaint among Vezel drivers is the car's slow acceleration, which will only get worse over time. No matter how well a car is maintained, high heat and friction cause a car's engine to become worn, scratched, and misshapen over time. The Xado Atomic Metal Conditioner Maximum Twin Turbo with 1 Stage Revitalizant heals frictional damage that goes up to 0.2mm in depth, thanks to a Complex Adaptive Revitalizant (CAR). 2. One of the key features of an SUV is the ability to go off road. To use the same car you would pick up your groceries and kids one day and go on mud and sand the next. However, this is Singapore. The only sand and mud we have are off limits to cars (as far as I can find). That didn’t stop a determined Honda Vezel driver from testing his capabilities though. Watch this video to see what I mean. What happened? A Honda Vezel was seen at Simei Carpark driving over a kerb and carrying on as if nothing happened. It appears as though the driver was trying to leave the car park but forgot to turn enough to hit the exit. Instead, he drove straight through a parking lot in order to correct his course and finally leave. Rip to his undercarriage. Let’s watch that again. He could have reversed and prevented any possible damage to the car, like any other sensible person. But this must be some high-level driver’s thinking that I cannot comprehend until I drive for a minimum of 20 years. Comment down below if you think so too! Let the jokes come in You know there had to be jokes after something like that. Notably about what driving school he came from. w My soul would leave my body if I felt my car go over an entire kerb. Others also made jokes about how he was using the car as it was meant to be driven. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 3. TL;DR – The owner of a Honda Vezel desperately seeks witnesses or video evidence of a white BMW cutting into his lane and hitting his car, causing an accident in its wake. Unfortunately, the uploaded footage did not catch the BMW’s licence plate. I find it a little strange that the dash cam did not get the license plate. Watch this short 17-second video to see whether you find it strange as well What happened? Quoted straight from the SGRV Post Video got cut? I’m not sure whether it’s the impact of the BMW hitting the Vezel or some technical glitch. But the footage gets cut immediately after. Maybe there’s more to this story than meets the eye? Online Chatter Most comments skew towards the Vezel driver being a road hogger rather than the BMW’s hit-and-run offence. That’s loco! ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. Join us today!
  4. Many drivers flock to the expressways or tunnels in order to have a quicker and more efficient journey. Most usually drive reasonably and abide to traffic customs and display good road etiquette. However this Honda Vezel took the meaning of 'quick' way too seriously, and his rush to get ahead ended up affecting the poor Mitsubishi Lancer who stood in its way. See the video here: Honda Vezel 1, Mitsubishi Lancer 0 The poor Mitsubishi Lancer! Its side mirror never stood a chance. Off it went to its spinning demise, spurned to the dusty tunnel floor, to be rolled over and flipped about by the other cars, for the rest of eternity. From the top: Even when the Vezel was behind the cam car, we can see that it has already been pushing past the long row of cars before. Then after he got past the cam car in question, here he is shown, speeding ahead. Oh no, watch out! Then, the tight squeeze... Leaving us to the first picture we came from: RIP, mirror! You are dearly missed. Time for judgement After the video was shared online, there were thoughts to be had and shared: That's right, because the Vezel certainly wasn't sparing any thought for the others around him, while blatantly disobeying traffic rules. Only motorbikes could dream to weave in between the gaps left by cars around them; not huge and bulky Vezels. We're not saying we condone license plate plucking but... Finally, one comment had a very good explanation as to why the Vezel was so eager to pass through the line of cars ahead: Lol! Understandable, but not an excuse for his behaviour. Mind your actions on the road please Because of their selfishness, the Vezel driver posed a danger to the cars around them, even damaging another in the process. Don't be like them. Not only will you be cursed at, but you could get into trouble too. Singapore's Road Traffic Rules states that "no vehicle shall be driven, moved, stopped or allowed to remain at rest on any shoulder or verge", unless there is a valid reason. We hope this lawbreaker learns from this incident. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 5. TL;DR – A couple in a Honda Vezel has been caught on video necking and kissing while driving on the road. Couples need to do what couples need to do. I certainly have no issue with couples kissing or showing public displays of affection out in the open. But, if it poses as a potential road hazard and endangers other people, that’s where lines should be drawn. Watch the 39-second video here: I thought it was something else Initially, I thought the silhouette on the left was a dog. LOL It looked like a Shit Tzu or something Image: Wikipedia But, upon closer inspection, turns out, it was a woman! Remember what a certain someone said? Remember that one minister who said “You need a very small space to have s#$”? Image: Wikipedia But this couple taking it way too far. I mean, who does that? Kena accident how? Imagine what would you have to write on your accident report. Online Chatter Wah! That would be messed up. 15-minutes also cannot wait. Why everyone assumes that the girl is not his wife or partner? ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 6. There is finally video footage of the recent accident outside the Parliament House. For those who are unfamiliar with the accident, a Honda Vezel ran the red light and ended up getting T-boned by a BMW. This resulted in the Honda flipping on its side and getting wedged onto the road bollards, which shocked the female passenger in the camcar who witnessed the accident. More than a dozen individuals, including the camcar driver, got out of their vehicles to help. They were seen attempting to lift the Honda to an upright position in an attempt to rescue the victims. The severity of the accident led to the deployment of the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF). It was reported that 5 individuals were transported to the Singapore General Hospital. According to the Straits Times, the 5 individuals comprised of 2 male drivers aged 51 and 59, and 3 passengers aged between 28 and 61. They were all conscious during the transport to the hospital. Netizens' reactions We wish all of the victims a speedy recovery! ------- Witnessed an accident? See something interesting on the roads? 7. TL;DR – A Honda Vezel, Mazda 5 and Nissan Note get involved in an accident with multiple public properties damaged A video of an accident uploaded on Instagram caught my attention today. In it, we find a white Honda Vezel, a brown Mazda 5 and a white Nissan Note involved in an accident. Here’s the video 22-second video for your viewing pleasure. Here’s more footage of the accident (at a different angle) Disclaimer The white Vezel might or might not be involved in this accident, or the driver might be a good Samaritan who parked at the side to help the occupants of the front two cars. Damage to public property I count a signboard, a lamppost, a tree and a section of the railings. It looks like it’s going to be an expensive affair for whoever was at fault. That’s weird The biggest question after watching the video – “How did the Note end up on the railings?” Online chatter I legit think this is funny Spread my wings and fly away --- Thinking of selling your car? sgCarMart Quotz guarantees the highest selling price for your car. 8. It's Monday! And nothing says Mondays like a huge traffic jam on the way to work to brighten up everyone's mood, am I right? Well, if you were to see this scene this morning on the SLE just before 9am, I don't think you would want to be caught in it either. If they could, I'm willing to bet most people in that traffic jam would've love to just turn around and head right back home to bed. I think this GIF below puts most people's mood into perspective. I mean, 2 out of 3 lanes closed due to an accident on a Monday morning during the peak hour rush? That is sure to put anyone in a good mood for the start of the working week. Although I can't imagine it was any better for the owner of the Vezel, to have his week start out like this. Regardless, with the Honda Vezel being a relatively common car on local roads, you might think that most people would be familiar with them by now, in one sense or another. My family's car is also a Vezel, and I'll say one thing about it, it's not meant to be driven too aggressively, because the car just isn't built to handle aggressive driving. Now, I'm sure that there will be some of you out there who will vehemently disagree with me, but I'm not going to argue about it because I value my life. Let me explain. The Vezel is a CUV, or a crossover. Basically a downsized SUV. What do a CUV and a SUV have in common? A higher than normal centre of gravity. So what happens to objects with a higher centre of gravity when pushed too far? They topple over. Much easier too, since more of the object's weight is higher off the ground, causing more imbalance. It is for this main reason why we see high performance vehicles being low to ground, because it helps to lower their centre of gravity. The lower your centre of gravity, the more stable you are, and the less likely the chances of you tipping over. Call me chicken, call me a coward, but I am really not interested in paying for higher insurance premiums if I get involved in an accident. Not to mention the possible accompanying mental trauma that may result as of the accident. If you still don't get it, perhaps having your car flipped over on its back like a turtle and being pulled upright would make you feel a whole lot better. If this analogy floats your boat, then.... Good on your. Like this Vezel. It's driver's door wasn't closed while it was turned turtle, presumably because the driver had to crawl out of the vehicle, but hey, at least the actions of the tow truck helped to close his door. Here's hoping that whoever was in that Vezel managed to get out of the vehicle with minor or no injuries. Not the best way to start a new week and a new month, but I guess sometimes you have to take the bitter with the better. Please drive safe, people. Don't be another addition to the traffic accident statistics that the Traffic Police puts out annually.
  9. Hi there I put a non-refundable deposit for a Honda Vezel at Ubi Automart from Cars & Coffee. I read on the LTA One Motoring site that there is a recall for HR-V in effect on June 4, 2020, which says: Due to incorrect manufacturing of the rear seat belt assembly, the component attached was bent. The vehicle sensor and webbing sensor could be inoperative. I know Vezel has had issues in the past for the 2016 models and there were recalls of 8% of all of them. Do you think there is anything to worry about with the new 2019 model that I bought? I will be transporting my baby around and don’t want to take risks. Thanks
  10. Honda Everus EV http://www.motortrend.com/news/honda-everus-ev-concept-electric-suv/ Honda may have been one of the first automakers to offer a gasoline-electric hybrid, introducing the original Insight for the 2000 model year, but it hasn’t been as quick to add battery-electric vehicles to its lineup. Even Honda’s lease-only Clarity EV is only available in certain regions of the U.S. But at Auto China 2018, Honda revealed the small crossover that will be its first mass-production EV. Called the Everus EV, the CUV you see here is essentially a concept in name only. Honda says it’s already been approved for production. It won’t, however, be available in the U.S. No, the Everus EV will only be sold in China. It will also be the first vehicle sold under the Everus sub-brand created by Honda and its Chinese partner GAC. Details are scarce at the moment, but the Everus appears to be a subcompact crossover, potentially built on the same platform as the Fit and HR-V. Then again, it could just as easily use a dedicated electric platform we haven’t seen before. When it goes on sale, Honda says the Everus will also be offered for use through Reachstar, a Chinese car-sharing service that Honda has invested in. Beyond that, the only other thing we know is that the Everus EV is one of 20 electrified—not necessarily fully electric—vehicles that Honda plans to introduce by 2025. We’ve reached out to Honda for more information, but a spokesperson wasn’t immediately available to comment. We’ll update this post when we get a response.
  11. Hi Gurus, I am a layman when it comes to car so just want to gather more opinions. My budget, physique and driving habit prompts me to opt for these CUV. I personally dont think there is a need to discuss the appearance of the car because one mans meat is another's poison. So more cross examination about the above cars. :)
  12. those who brought either car, any feedback which is car is better in long run? AD vs PI? both are CVT engine but qq with turbo, must pump 98 for turbo? performance wise which is better? pls share. thank you.
  13. I got a letter about a recall to replace some part. What part is this? Is getting the part changed important? Is the risk of the workshop making things worse higher than the risk of the part being recalled causing trouble? The workshop is Optiwerkz, which is also the "warranty" workshop for my car. I have never even visited it once since my car was purchased two years ago. Will they do the replacement without charge given that Honda is the one paying for the recall job?

  15. Just want to find out if anyone have any idea what parts are available for Honda Vezel?
  16. It will be powered by a 1.6L Naturally Aspirated engine with 123BHP and 151Nm of torque or a turbocharged engine with 200bhp and 264Nm of torque Six speed automatic for the non-turbo 7 speed DCT for the turbo To me , the looks of the Vezel wins , and thanks to the Vezel , Honda sales in Singapore went up
  17. Am dying to add a steering audio control to my Vezel, it feels incomplete without it. So did some calling and managed to find a shop that can install it. I sense a lot of interest among those of you who have just collected or are waiting for your car, so I asked if he could arrange for a group buy and he agreed. So here's the deal agreed with minimum of 10 participants: S$ 580 inclusive of labour The "mah fan" part about this is that they require a $250 deposit to indent the part from Japan and it will take a while to arrive. 18. May I know is there any specific brand of coolant that is recommended for use on the Vezel ? Which type of coolant do you use. A lot of important parts is made of plastic on the Vezel if you have noticed to make the engine lighter. e.g. Manifold , etc.. These plastic parts are not the cover for the metal parts in engines of the past.
