Have you ever been so mad you gave a camera the middle finger?

In our fast-paced and hectic society, it is easy to get triggered when unexpected things happen to you as we can see from this video that has been posted on SG Road Vigilante. In this video that was shot in Yishun a few days back, we can see a van which is the camera vehicle, coming to the rear of a Volkswagen Scirocco. While waiting for the gantry to be lifted, the car rolled back as one pair of its wheels were on a hump. The van driver gave the car a tap of its horn, triggering the Scirocco driver to come down and confront the van driver. For those who have no experience with dual-clutch gearboxes, some, if not most, have the tendency to roll back if the car is on a slope as the car behaves very much like a manual car in start-stop situations. Hence, the Scirocco driver wasn't trying to reverse on purpose. Was the horn necessary? Was it necessary to follow so close to the Scirocco seeing that he had trouble at the gantry? And was the van driver guilty of tailgating out of the carpark? Or was it simply just a case of an ill-mannered Volkswagen driver having a bad day? What do you guys reckon? Want to get a better louder set of horns to replace the single pathetic stock one. Do I need to use the relay or do I just swap in the new ones?

A little surprised that car horns can break down. I mean, my Sylphy is coming to 9 years old only. I was told by the workshop that it is a common problem to Nissan cars. It's not the horn but the contact on the steering wheel that's worn. Appreciate fellow motorists in this forum can advise where to find distributors who supply the "pad" (to be mounted on steering wheel) for the horn. Perhaps, what is a reasonable price to replace the horn? Thanks! Also, looking for manual air horn to save cost. Hahaha!

Good morning!! I met a Suzuki Swift driver this morning who honk my wife when she stopped at the road side for me to alight. I recalled that she had turned on the hazard indicators 3 seconds prior to stopping. Slowly down gradually instead of abrupt braking. It took me 3 seconds to alight and close the door. The moment I opened the door I heard the honk from this Swift behind. It was a single white line (center) and it was not at a filter lane or zebra crossing. I wonder what was in the mind of the driver? Have you come across drivers (including friends) who experience pleasure out of honking (venting of fustration) instead of showing displeasure about other road users behaviour. A typical one but not seen everyday are drivers that speed up when another car moves (with more than enough clearance) into its lane and honk all the way. Maybe I should have alighted, walk to the swift, knock on the window, point to the center white line and recommend him to keep a BT book in his car. Pass TPT doesn't mean one can discard what they learnt in BT and FT.

Would mcf forumers like to share why we are 'forced' to use our car horns? For me, there are 3 common reasons why I sound the horn: 1. Dangerous cyclists who ride across zebra crossings and traffic lights crossings when lights are not in their favour 2. Jaywalkers 3. Motorists who hog the rightmost lane...at 60 or 70 kmh and it turns out these idiots are breaking the law, either because they are on the phone or cigarette in hand, cruising slowly along, when I pass them on their left side after waiting for them to switch lane while keeping a safe distance behind them

Where to find horn relay other than go back to authorised centre in sin ming? I stay Eunos area. Went to a few workshops in ubi but no luck.

Is there such a thing? I know it's not a written thing, we rarely do it, but beside preventing an accident, any particular horn code mean anything? The usual Long one, the double tap, short bursts.. .. ..No pun intended

Just wondering, have you ever high beam or give a longgg horn (not those short tap horn) @ government vehicles (ie. Police car, Traffic police, ambulance, army SUV, etc) while driving on the road? If you do, then why? Is it against the law to high beam them?

Hello to All Experts, My 4.5yrs old A5 is having horn problem...not working at all. And my dashboard also shows that Airbag has a problem! Had made appt with Allan to take a look this afternoon. Time to spend $$$ again.... Anyone had such problem before and anyone knows roughly how much I can expect to pay??

does it bother you when other drivers horn at you - out of anger ?? eg, you cut into another fella's lane and the fella blasts his horn at you for almost 5 secs continuously ?? lets say its your fault ? you know last minute error ... what about not your fault or you dun even know why the other fella horn at you angrily ?

Just now at Bishan. I was on the right lane. The lane can either turn right or go straight. Since I am going straight, I stop when the lights turn red. Cars turning right behind me high beam and horn.... I was like WTF, dont' they know how to see the arrows on the road? Or are they blind? Feel like getting out of the car and fug the driver behind me but forget it.... I don't want to act like some clown or hooligan.

Somehow mycar theft alarm horn (small black loud-hailer shape) seems be spoilt due to water damage. Anyone know where can I go pick up a second-hand horn ?

many times it happened, when I wanted to horn those vehicles cutting in my lane without signal, but horn didn't work later tried again, it worked. Can anyone advise what it is the problem, and any recommand whorshop can fix it? many thanks

Today in carpark tap horn to warn uncle that he is going reverse into my vehicle and he already not happy and show me hand signal. Then I show him that I go a video cam inside the car that caught his hand action, thereafter he wave a sorry sign but his face still not happy. Nowadays encountered several people like that and they'll back off once I showed them I caught their action on video cam. Don't know why tap of horn also not happy, really ridiculous.

Alamak, salah spelling: "Louest 2 tone horn MONEY can buy" . I am driving MPV, but as most japanese cars, pressing horns can be quite embrassing soft. 2 thiny disc horns which sounded like a little lamb. Engine compartment is very cramped.
