  2. AC was not cold a few days back so went to a car ac shop near my workplace. Mechanic checked and said ac gas not enough and need to top up. However he also told me that it’s usually a leakage somewhere as car do not need to top up ac gas at all. Ask me to monitor. Is what he said true on the car do not need to top up ac gas at all if there is no leak?
  3. https://mothership.sg/2022/03/fried-banana-seller-death-penang/ A 74-year-old fried banana seller in Penang fainted suddenly while cooking at her hawker stall on Sunday (Mar. 13). As a result, she fell into the wok containing hot oil and suffered severe burns to her face and body, later succumbing to her injuries. Pain was so intense she couldn't speak According to Malaysian Chinese daily Kwong Wah Yit Poh, the incident occurred around 3pm on Mar. 13. The elderly woman — identified as Zhong Bixuan — was frying bananas when she suddenly fainted, falling into the wok of hot oil. Her head and upper body were plunged into wok full of hot oil, resulting in severe burns on her face and body. A resident described the elderly woman as feeling like her body was being stabbed by thousands of hot needles, and added that the pain was so intense that Zhong could not speak. Zhong was then rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment, where she passed away later that night. Had been in the business for over 30 years Zhong had been selling fried bananas for more than 30 years, Kwong Wah reported. Her second son, Chen Zhenping, told media that his mother had been working in the hawker stall with his 80-year-old father at the time of the incident. When asked whether he would take over his mother's stall, Chen explained that he is currently managing his own stall in Seremban. Thus, he will temporarily close his mother's stall and then make plans in the future. Top photos via Kwong Wai Yit Poh.

  5. According to Cars Guide, Hyundai is actively developing an all-wheel drive version of the i30 N hot hatch. As confirmed by Hyundai Australia public relations manager Guido Schenken, the brand had already planned for an all-wheel drive version of the hot hatch once the car was given the green light for production. Adding on, the head of Hyundai N Albert Biermann, has previously said that all-wheel drive was likely to prove to be a future focus for the manufacturer. That said, it is not clear when an all-wheel drive Hyundai i30 N model would go on sale nor do we know the all-wheel drive drivetrain will be seen in this generation of the i30 N or future ones. With an all-wheel drive system, Hyundai would be able to give its hot hatch more power with the additional traction, thereby allowing the i30 N to do battle with the hatches like the 345bhp Ford Focus RS.
  6. If this holds true, this climate change will inevitably effect everyone, not just for those whose daily activities that depend on the weather condition. With the average maximum daily temperature predicted to reach 34.9 to 36.7 deg C from current 31.8 deg C, this will means more demand for powering air conditioners, higher health risk, longer dry spells, increased bush fires and yes, the chocking smog/haze/smoke from the resulting burning. This will drive people indoor for longer period and increase water usage, exacerbating the situation by reducing our adaptability in a hotter and dryer Garden City. http://news.asiaone.com/news/singapore/unusually-warm-weather-may-become-norm-singapore

  8. Been there many moons back, teenage days, went there yesterday, was my 2nd time, there are now limited chairs which u can grab and use Nparks was there doing some surveys on what improvements would you like to have, you can vote or leave a comment on the board, online survey is also available Better go before it’s developed, for me always prefer the rustic and quiet environment Next time with more “life” injected and a cafe, would probably been a much different feel from now Think older folks really enjoy it, some were taking a shower, some cooking eggs Enjoy the hot spring water, wonder if it’s psychological, but my feet do feel really smooth after the short soak The water is very hot, need to wait for the water to cool before putting your feet in, so its best to plan a day where you have time and not in a rush, bring your own pail and basins if you dont wanna share, bouht mine coz of hygiene reasons, u can also bring eggs to cook and eat too No parking around there, parked at nearby hdb and grab a car over, saw a group of cyclists there, cycling is probably the best mode of transport to get there now singapore’s only hot spring, worth a visit http://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/sembawang-hot-spring-to-be-developed-into-1-hectare-park-by-2019-9439366

  12. Just a suggestion for peace of mind. As higher temperatures are expected, one may wish to consider to do their normal 10k servicing sooner by maybe 1k km. I would think this would especially apply to major servicing as the coolant is near the end of its useful life and the hot weather is so unkind. Same goes for ATF change as well. Prevention is better than cure.

  16. It is an expected move from Volkswagen - a more potent, all-wheel drive variant to top the Golf range. But now it has got almost 300bhp from the redeveloped 2.0-litre lump taken off its GTI stablemate. Is this VW's hottest hot hatch yet? 2.0-litre. Four cylinders. 296bhp. 380Nm. 5.3 seconds. These are the figures from the latest Golf R. In comparison, the Mk7 GTI has 220bhp and 350Nm of torque. That is almost 80 more horses in a similarly-sized hatchback. While the weight of the new R is not disclosed yet, we expect the Haldex four-wheel drive system to put a toll on the R at the scales. Then, the fifth generation of the AWD system promises up to 100 percent torque transfer to the rear axle - all done in fraction of a second via the Haldex coupling with help of an electro-hydraulic pump. Some cool tech there. To us, the previous gen Golf R was mind-blowing enough with 256bhp and 330Nm of torque. But then, we bet it was only right for VW to increase the power figures as it is the natural way to showcase its progress - as with any car manufacturer. Then, we would gladly have the twin-centre pipes (which we thought was the iconic symbolisation of the R) over the quad pipes, any day, anytime. Let's keep our fingers crossed that this wouldn't be a mere figure-boasting exercise.
