  2. This week, we test drove ‘Hot Hatch’ from Hyundai. We had so much fun with 2019 Hyundai Veloster N. Is N good enough against Honda Civic Type-R and Golf GTi? If you haven’t you have to learn how to drive manual, because it is so much fun! With 2.0L turbo and 6 speed short throw shifter, it was a blast, let's meet the Veloster N. https://youtu.be/UU0W2FO2ISw 2019 Hyundai Veloster N -2.0T: 275hp (6,000rpm) / 260lb.ft. The Veloster Turbo starts at $23,785 for the R-Spec trim, which comes only with the manual. All Veloster models now come with an independent suspension setup all around. 4. Hyundai has unveiled the Veloster C3 Roll Top Concept at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show, adding to the unique design of the Korean coupe. According to the Hyundai, C3 stands for "Convertible 3-door". The concept features a automatically retracting canvas-top in place of the center section of the roof and a rear tailgate which flips down like a printer's tray. Hyundai has also designed a latch at the rear compartment for securing a bicycle with the tailgate opened. On the new concept, Hyundai commented, "In convertible mode with the top rolled back, the C3 is a free spirit for d
  5. When it comes to automatic transmissions, four speed auto transmissions are fast getting replaced with more advanced auto transmissions. More automakers are introducing six, seven and even eight speed automatic transmission into their vehicles nowadays. These introductions are made mainly for fuel efficiency reasons, to get more kilometres out of their fuel consumption usage. But, there are also some automakers such as Nissan, who are moving towards the usage of continuously variable transmissions (CVTs). But that is not the case for Hyundai as the Korean automaker has preferred
  6. [extract] A fabulous feature of the new Hyundai Veloster is its one-and-a-half sized sunroof, which gives your head a little breathing room in the rakishly-shaped car. However, this feature has turned out to be a nightmare for certain owners as they experienced an earth-shattering phenomenon literally. The US National Highway Safety Administration (NHTSA) is conducting investigations over complaints on the Veloster
  7. The Hyundai Veloster (pictured above) has just been released recently and it is one fine looking hatchback. And for those who craves for more power, there is a turbo version (pictured below). There are rumours going around that Hyundai is working on a more powerful version of the Veloster and it would put the car in the hot hatch category with the likes of the Volkswagen GTI and Ford Focus ST. The Hyundai Veloster Turbo shares many parts with the normal Veloster model (for example, same suspension set-up) and some believed that Hyundai has left the Veloster Turbo in this manner
  8. The funkiest Hyundai to date, the Veloster is here in Singapore. But sad to say, the performance failed to match its good looks. Powered by a 138bhp 1.6-litre Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) engine, the Veloster is only about 10 bhp more than the 1.6-litre MPI engine found in the Elantra. It sprints leisurely to 100km/h in a leisurely 10.3 seconds. Even a mundane looking VW Jetta 1.4-litre TSI can leave the Veloster behind. But fear not, for there is a super-hot 1.6 Turbo-GDI version of the Veloster, which is good for 201 bhp. Coupled with a 6-speed automatic gearbox, the forced-inductio
  9. [extract] Hyundai has unveiled the European specced Veloster Turbo at Geneva. This turbocharged version of the quirky Veloster brings a little more power to the car that has all the styling of speed but saddled with only 140 horses from its normally aspirated 1.6-litre engine. With the application of a turbocharger, the Hyundai Veloster Turbo makes 183bhp and about 270Nm torque. Good for the affordable single rear door coupe to have a 0-100km/h time of 8.4seconds compared to the 9.7seconds of the 1180kg normally aspirated car. - The normally aspirated Veloster- This is actual
  10. Hyundai Motor Group has finally presented its highly anticipated Gamma 1.6 T-GDI petrol and Euro6 R-2.0 diesel engines. The presentation was made during the 11th Hyundai-Kia International Powertrain Conference that takes place from 19 October to 20 October at the Rolling Hills Hotel, located near the Hyundai-Kia Motors R&D Center in Korea. The 1.6-liter 4 cylinder unit uses a twin-scroll turbocharger along with an air guided intercooler, direct fuel injection system and dual CVVT to produce a maximum output of 204 hp at 6000 rpm with a peak torque of 265Nm at 1750 rpm. These figures w
