  1. Hello, good day to you. I would like to have some advice on the gearbox jerking issue of Mercedes-Benz, A class model. Is there any discussion on this topic? Hope you can direct me to that link, thank you.
  2. hi, have a problem today. hope you guys know what it is. kia forte 1.6sx of 5 years and 4 months old, 77Kkm mileage. Today the car jerks at idle at red light, and i can see that RPM slight jumps up and down, like 400rpm - 700rpm. Usually it is idle at 400rpm without up and down. The jerk is about every 4 seconds, not constant jerking. can feel the car tremble. When i press the throttle to accelerate during travelling, the car will jerk again, and does not accelerate instantly as normal. after a while it accelerates to a higher cruising speed, then it's OK again. During jerking, the engine light flashes like 10 times. when the jerk stops, engine light becomes off again. I just changed engine oil and engine filter 2 months ago. Is this worn spark plugs, or ATF due to change (coz it's been a while), or both, or something else? Thanks.
  3. woooh... totally disgusted after reading this news can't believe got such shameless people around

  9. Hi Guys, Recently i just did the following: Change of all Engine Mounting, Change of All Suspension; Gear Box Over haul; Rotor & Brake Pad Change(Front done, rear using drum which not done); Brake Oil Change However every time when i brake, there seems to be a jerk which a sound that "thump" with a jerk forward before coming to a full stop. Even before i did the above changes the "thump" before come to a full stop is there. Initially i thought is the engine mounting. Does any brothers here encountered the same problem?
  10. I am driving a 4 tears old car, recently i get this jerking feeling when i accelerate slowly... i changed my fuel filter, spark plug 10k ago, still got this jerky feel... what happen? Car mileage is 75k
  11. OK. Pun intended. I have suffered from jerks like it is the norm for a CNG car. While at Melchers and tuning, Peter noted that my aftermarket wire set was "leaky". For crying out loud, my car can't even climb a slope. It was like choking and lacking power. Jerky as beef jerky. So after the tuning, I went over to the stockist to get the OE wire set. Stockist came with some box with Korean words on it. I asked you sure this is OE? He said even though it does not have GMDAT on it, it is the same OEM for GMDAT. Bought the set for 48.15 inclusive of GST. I went to the Mandai meetup yesterday. As usual the complaints about jerks and up slope loss of power. Of course I'm not stupid to install the wire set after coming back. Who in the right mind to change a wire set while the engine is still hot. So I did it this morning. Difference? Heaven and hell. It is heaven now. The car is so buttery smooth, it can even go up the MSCP slopes. Not contented, I went to fill up at Jln Buroh which BTW was at 1.51 already. That's how I got the news. I went over to Jurong Hill and attempted the same thing Song did yesterday to check the effectiveness of his tuning. FYI, the car failed miserably with the aftermarket 8mm wire set. So this morning, the car moved off like it was on petrol. Very smooth too, like its gone for bikini waxing. So there you have it. If you experience jerks, there is nothing wrong with the gas delivery. Look towards your ignition. If your car is new, change out the coils if it is the new coil-on-plug version (usually the Toyotas). They are under warranty. Insist on it. Maybe the installed ones are degraded while sitting around prior to delivery. CNG requires top notch ignition components. For the Airwaves, I understand some gave problems while some don't. Those that do, visit your dealer and ask for ignition makeover. Don't change the plugs. I doubt the plugs are the problem. I've running on cheapo stock plugs and not overhyped Iridiums. So the Airwaves shouldn't have that problem with their superior double platinum plugs. BTW, my car is on full CNG now. No more petrol idle. Idle is also smooth. My gapping is 1.0mm. As said in earlier posts, if you want to gap, 0.9mm is the lowest you should go or else your petrol performance should you choose to use petrol for some reason will suffer. Don't blame your installers for failing to get the tuning right. Check your igintion components. I'll be going off to get the CEL cleared and see if it comes back but I have the O2 simulator on standby. A lesson can be learned here. BEWARE OF AFTERMARKET COMPONENTS. BTW, my 8mm "performance" wire set is Sanwa. If you can't get OE replacements, at least get OE equivalent components. Don't buy "performance" replacements.
  12. The dangerous move u made along Upp Serangoon Road after Kovan MRT at 10.30pm is really dangerous. I m at the extreme go straight right lane and you come from behind, went into the turn right (to Tampines Rd) lane and cut back in front of me at the cross junction. All this while I am travelling at 70kmh. I tink you r trying out your newly ran in car or trying to impress the someone beside u. After Hougang Plaza, when the middle and extreme left lane is clear you filter all the way to the left. While I am still at the extreme right wanting to make a U-turn I noticed you still have the cheek to give me a farking 4 eyes look. Here is why i ask you to look here. PM me for a friendly to test your new ride ya. Any place will do for me cos it makes no difference to me. We will do it when i do not hv my sis-in-law, mom-in-law, wife and kid in the car ya. Or i can give you an advantage with my wife and kid still in the car. Remember to PM me if not things wld be unfriendly if i were to check u out using your plate number. Any bro who happened to see this ride pls PM me...much appreciated.
