  2. One thing that people are exceptionally fond of doing these days is posting EVERYTHING on social media. Unfortunately, this includes doing dumb things, filming it and posting it online for the world to see (Yes, it happens even if your account is private😞 IMG_7599.MP4 What Happened? In the short video, a 'chiobu' was filming herself and her two friends seated inside a Mazda MX-5. For those of you that know, the Mazda MX-5 is an iconic 2-seater Japanese convertible sports car. After looking at the image above, you wonder, "How do three people sit in a 2-seater convertible?" Apparently, this 'chiobu' decided to create a makeshift third 'seat' by sitting on top of the MX-5's centre console. Thereafter, the trio took a joyride in the Mazda MX-5 around Sentosa, while the 'chiobu' remained perched on the centre console. Without a doubt, what she did was dangerous. 1) Being seated on the centre console means she had no seatbelt on: She would have flown off like a rag-doll in the event of a frontal collision. 2) Her head was sticking out from the car significantly: If the car rolled over, she would have been decapitated even with rollover bars. How many traffic offences do you think were committed in this video? Let me know in the comments below! Netizens' Comments Book-smart but not street-smart🙃 Soon TP gonna have a 'social media' department already. If those 2 guys complete NS already but still so sohai, idk what to say anymore. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 3. 15-Year-Old Crashes Father’s Taxi While Taking It For A Spin, Gets 18 Months’ Probation source: https://mustsharenews.com/15-year-old-taxi/ 15-Year-Old To Serve 100-Hour Community Service After Taking Father’s Taxi On Joyride The legal age for someone to drive in Singapore stands at 18 years old, and for good reason. Yet in Oct 2019, Sean Chan Wei Lun – then 15 years old – took his father’s taxi for a spin with his friends and crashed into a building. He was sentenced to 18 months’ probation and 100 hours of community service on Friday (5 Jun). 15-year-old crashes father’s taxi in Marsiling According to TODAY, Chan – who is now 16 – took his father’s car keys without permission at around 12.20am on 23 Oct 2019. Chan then brought 2 friends on a joyride, despite not knowing how to operate the taxi himself. The underage driver lost control of the vehicle while making a left turn at the junction of Riverside Road and Marsiling Industrial Estate Road 8 — mounting a kerb and uprooting a stop sign before crashing into a wall. The collision punctured both left tyres and severely damaged the vehicle’s front. Chan’s friends – aged 15 and 14 – sustained multiple injuries as a result of the incident. The former suffered deep cuts to his lips and abrasions to his chest. The younger of the 2 dislocated his foot, had lacerations on his lips, as well as abrasions to his right forearm. 15-year-old’s relationship with father soured after incident On Friday (5 Jun), Chan was sentenced to 18 months’ probation for 3 charges. During the period, he will be required to remain indoors from 10pm-6am. He also has to perform 100 hours of community service. Chan’s father was reportedly absent during the hearing due to health reasons. However, District Judge May Mesenas said the pair’s relationship has soured after the incident, reported TODAY. In relation to this, She told the younger Chan that he should reconcile with his father during his probation. Hope he mends relationship with his father We hope Chan learns from this incident and will be successful in mending his relationship with his father. Driving without a proper license is extremely dangerous and can result in serious injuries and even death.
  4. Son of Car Groomer’s Boss Also Allegedly Smoked In The Car The car grooming business is one that’s largely based on trust. After all, clients have to leave their cars at the workshop for days or even weeks without supervision. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that a car owner by the name of Mr Eric Lau was enraged to find his car misused after collecting it from a car groomer. On Sunday (23 Dec), Mr Lau wrote a lengthy Facebook post warning other car owners about the errant car groomers that he had the misfortune of dealing with. Here’s his Facebook post in full. We’ll summarise it after the jump. 273km clocked in 5 daysAccording to Mr Lau, on 3 Nov, he brought his car to Glozz Factory Mobile Car Grooming Services for spray painting and an internal grooming job. Before handing his car over to the groomers, Mr Lau took a photo of his odometer for precautionary reasons. For the uninitiated, an odometer is an instrument used to measure the distance travelled by a vehicle. When Mr Lau collected his car 5 days later, he was stunned to find his odometer reading increase by a whopping 273km. That’s not all. The sound system in Mr Lau’s car was also adjusted to the maximum level, and the memory card slot on his dashcam wasn’t in its original position. The car owner called the workshop’s owner, Mr Andy Goh, demanding answers. Mr Goh revealed over the phone that the car was also full of cigarette ash when he was working on it the day prior to the collection. After some investigation, Mr Goh admitted that Shawn – his business partner’s son – had taken the car for a joyride in Malaysia. Suspicions confirmedEnraged, the car owner lodged a police report and demanded to have a sit-down with Mr Goh and his business partner, Mr William Chng. Mr Lau’s suspicions were confirmed during the meeting as the car groomers admitted that Shawn had: Drove the car into Malaysia Smoked in the car Blasted the car’s stereo Understandably, Mr Lau then demanded compensation from the car workshop owners for a breach of contract. However, Mr Goh suggested that Mr Lau deal with Mr Chng in private, so as to protect the reputation of his business. Illegal RequestMr Chng eventually agreed to compensate Mr Lau for the misuse of his car, and instructed his lawyer to prepare a private settlement letter. Initially, Mr Lau was told to wait while Mr Chng’s lawyer prepared the necessary documents. However, 2 months later, according to the Facebook post, Mr Chng started ignoring Mr Lau’s calls. When he finally answered, Mr Chng said that his lawyer required the police report in his possession to prepare the legal document, and tried to “buy” it from him. Feeling that something was amiss, Mr Lau called the police, who informed Mr Lau that it was illegal to “buy” a police report due to confidential reasons. Check your odometer before visiting a car workshopMS News has reached out to Glozz Factory and Mr Lau for more information regarding the alleged incident. Meanwhile, let’s hope both parties find a mutually agreeable resolution to the incident. For the rest of us, if there’s one lesson to be learnt, it’s surely the importance of checking your car’s odometer before handing it over to the car workshop. source: https://mustsharenews.com/car-groomer-joy-ride/?fbclid=IwAR3g28kvtIGhRM2eAUGKfuaByFesgjKnX9Tg_ej7y_GILpGIBoJmOm5YRHs

He left the key with valets at RWS while having supper there and returned to find the car missing. -- ST PHOTO: MARK CHEONG In the early hours of last Tuesday, two valets at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) were entrusted with the key to a Ferrari 458. Instead of safeguarding it, they used it to take the $1 million sports car for a joyride across Sentosa that lasted over an hour. Their alleged misdeed was exposed when the owner, a 61-year-old retiree, checked the footage on his in-car camera. Outraged by the incident, he has since filed a police report and issued a letter of demand to RWS through lawyer Chia Boon Teck.
