  1. OK, time for a tutorial session. Many have suggested to have a thread to showcase how to navigate and use the carious functions on the new MCF platform. We hear you! I will share what I know here (just like you, I am still exploring things), but seek your understanding that I am not able to post everything over a short period of time, as after all, I can only do it when I have some free time. Aside to @pChou @kobayashiGT @BabyBlade, do let me know if I have shared any incorrect information (especially if a particular function is only available for use by moderators ). For a start, this is how to search for post / topic made my a particular member. Go to the member's profile and click on the "See their activity" tab on the right hand side of the member's profile page. You will see a list of option on the left hand side of the screen. Click on "Topics" to see threads started by the member Click on "Posts" to see posts made by the member
  2. Researchers at A*STAR have developed a system to help car drivers navigate junctions safely by voicing out cautions. The system in the car will get signals from sensors installed at junctions that will inform drivers of any approaching pedestrian or vehicle. A*STAR’s Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R) said the system can detect the speed of all vehicles at the traffic junction and warn drivers of impending collision. It is now on a year-long trial -- from February 2014 to end-2014 -- to study the feasibility of using advanced technology to enhance traffic junction safety. Currently, only a pair of sensors is installed along Jurong East Ave 1 and Toh Guan Road. Dr Jaya Shankar P, programme head of intelligent transport systems at I2R, said: "This system can potentially go into the next generation in-vehicle unit. The next generation systems, based on connected vehicles that allow car-to-car and car-to-infrastructure communications, would be fitted with the appropriate radios and even screens for drivers to view, and we believe that this would actually benefit the drivers and could be potentially fitted into this system." 3. Just a check, has anyone managed to drive around Bkk using a GPS. FR fm a fren who bought a Garmin when he drives into Bkk, seems that it is still ok but comes the magic hours where certain lanes are off limit to car, that is when the chaos begin for him. Been relying on the trusty map & memory to get around in Thailand. Thinkg of gettg a GPS as I thinkg it wld be handy when I go for fly & drive hols in Thailand. Appreciate any feedbacks on which GPS/website to DL the maps. TIA
