  1. The Nissan Micra (known as the March in Singapore) has undergone a nip and tuck procedure for 2013. The most prominent update is done on the front fascia, which receives a revised headlamp, bumper, plus a grille inspired by the Juke SUV. It certainly looks more rugged now than before. The taillight combination is revised as well. The top-of-the range model gets 16-inch alloy wheels, climate control, park assist and a 5.8-inch infotainment screen among other goodies. USB and MP3 player connectivity is standard across all variants. Under the hood, the 2013 Micra uses the same 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine with 79bhp. However, a more power 1.2-litre DIG-S with 97bhp is available too. This is the same engine found in the Note. The more powerful motor actually produces less CO2 than its lesser brethren (95g/km vs 115g/km). Transmission options include a standard five-speed manual or CVT automatic. Class competitors for the new Nissan Micra include the Mitsubishi Mirage, Ford Fiesta and Honda Jazz.
  2. Believe it or not, the Nissan Micra (sold as the March here) has been sold in the U.K. for the past 30 years and Nissan aims to celebrate with new offers. Call me evil or unprofessional, but as soon as I read the news I could not help but head to YouTube to find the above clip. If you are a Micra owner - in that colour hue especially - I meant no disrespect. The subcompact was first launched in Britain in 1983, and after four generations, it has remained dependable and affordable. This fantastic achievement highlights Micra's longstanding popularity. Nissan believes life begins at 30 (isn't it 40?) and to help the Micra stay healthy, the Japanese automaker has announced a range of new '30' themed offers for Micra owners. To begin with, all Micra drivers with over three years of ownership can now benefit from a Ministry of Transport test (MOT)
  3. At long last, Nissan has finally uncovered the all new Nissan Micra (March) at the 80th Geneva Motor Show. I believe the existing generation has been around for at least the past 6 years - quite a long production lifespan. Developed and built on Nissan's all-new V-platform, the Japanese supermini goes global with production set to take place at several overseas manufacturing sites including Thailand, India, Mexico and China. Expect Singapore's March to be sourced from the land of thousand smiles. This fourth incarnation of the Micra is slightly longer and lower than its predecessor. Nissan claims that the extended wheelbase has further improved interior space. Nissan's new city car will be offered with just two engines options, a naturally aspirated 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol producing 80HP and 108Nm, and a turbocharged version of the same engine with direct injection that pumps out 98HP and 142Nm of torque. Both versions of the 1.2-liter three-pot are available with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or Nissan's all-new Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). Sales of the new Micra are scheduled to start initially in Thailand in March 2010. Local fans of the Micra can expect to see the new model around mid 2010.
