  1. Hi, Just to check, if there is any one here that drives a Peugeot Partner?? I'm driving a partner model 2015, and I do not have any good experience with them. anyone here has any good or bad experience to share? In a nutshell, got my ride in dec and it's been 7 times that i have been to the workshop to resolve the same issues. and yes, same issues dont get resolve. issues are not critical, but i wonder how many times do i have to visit them. the vehicle is good to drive but it seems that servicing is pale in comparison. original intention is to buy a 5008, but i think i should just keep my money till my view changes.

  8. http://www.straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/S...ory_453761.html ZHEJIANG University, famed for its engineering prowess and research strength, will be the Chinese partner of Singapore's fourth university. The collaboration with Zheda, as the university is popularly known in China, completes the three-way partnership of the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SU), linking it with premier institutions in both the East and the West. SU, which had earlier announced its partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States, inked the agreement with Zheda on Thursday. It was one of four deals signed at the St Regis hotel between Singapore and China, all witnessed by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and visiting Chinese President Hu Jintao. The leaders, who had a meeting before the signings, also saw the signing of deals on the setting up of a China Cultural Centre, a civil servants exchange programme and the sending of two pandas to Singapore in 2011. Mr Hu, who is here on a three-day state visit, urged Singapore and China to expand on their cultural exchanges during his meeting with Mr Lee, building on the momentous panda transfer and the universities' tie-up.
  9. Knew a girl for months. became a couple. She made me pay for almost everything when we go out. She is very careful with her own money but everytime we go out spending she expect me to pay even pay for her maid and family. Hawker centres, cafes & restaurants. At hawker centres, i will 1st queue & order food for her then only i queue and order food for myself. Including food and drinks i must have queued at least 3 times. And u know each queue can be long esp. during meal times. Once when i didnt order her food but she has to go queue & order her own, she wasnt happy. maybe becos she ended up having to pay her own food tat time. another time, i dropped her off to order food in a restuarant so that i can go find parking space. When i came into restuarant she told me she havent pay for the food. But at this restaurant cashier counter, u will be made to pay right away upon food ordering. I was thinking maybe she told the cashier she didnt have money on her. So she waited for me to come and pay. Even her maid food she asked me to pay. Even when her parents want papers, she got me to buy. Is this normal? Or is it their divine right for girls to expect their guys to pay for everything when they are out? Or am i being too calculative?? Being too easy going (generous etc) and being a carrot seem no difference. No-one like to be the latter. I thought it is more normal for both to pay ie. sometimes guys pay and sometimes gals pay too. though guys pay more times. I am flabbergasted by this all.
  10. Have a German supplier in town so it was my turn to drive around on my car, a Skoda Superb 1.8T. My business partner, a loyal Toyota fan, never thought much about my wheels, but when the German supplier sat in my car, he was saying I was a smart guy to get the Skoda Superb, as he owns the current and previous VW Passat and some Audi's in his life. We went on to discuss about the Skoda and how they have VW + Audi parts in the car and the 1.8T engine was from the Audi range of 1.8T engines, from than my business partner was leaning forward and asking alot of question, so our German supplier went on to say this is the best value for money car you can buy on the road, really good and worth the buy. My friend was impressed and asked me more about the car, all I can say is, wait till you see the new one. My German supplier also mentioned that the new Skoda Superbs are available in Germany and the market of Skoda brands are growing, if not for the company VW Passat, he would have gone for a Skoda Superb II.

  12. An 80 year old lady was being interviewed by the local news station because she had just gotten married - for the fourth time. The interviewer asked her questions about her life, about what it felt like to be marrying again at 80, and then about her new husband's occupation. "He's a funeral director," she answered. "Interesting," the newsman thought. He then asked her if she wouldn't mind telling him a little about her first three husbands and what they did for a living. She paused for a few moments, needing time to reflect on all those years. After a short time, a smile came to her face and she answered proudly, explaining that she'd first married a banker when she was in her early 20's, then a circus ringmaster when in her 40's, later on a preacher when in her 60's, and now in her 80's, a funeral director. The interviewer looked at her, quite astonished, and asked her why she had married four men with such diverse careers. She smiled and explained "I married one for the money, two for the show, three to get ready, and four to go"
