  1. In 2002, Taroda Racing was founded by Dexter Low with a vision to make the Radio Control Racing Scene a hobby that many people could enjoy. We carry brands like Tamiya, Kyosho and HPI. These brands are reliable and with high accuracy of control. We believe in carrying full range of spare parts for the type of radio control (RC) cars that we have. Our customers can modified their RC cars to better performance and speed of up 100 km/hour. Throughout the years, we have held many racing events. These races include buffets for our members, lucky draws and trophies to winners. Taroda also organized both touring and drifting races at Taroda Track, East Coast Park. These events brought a lot of very young members, adults and father and sons to play together. Taroda is proud to announce that our sponsored drivers have done very well in the Tamiya Asia Cups. Our drivers holds the Championship for Super Stock touring for two subsequent years 2009 and 2010. These members have taken radio control hobby to a new height. In the coming years, Taroda will endeavours to make RC a hobby that many could have funs and create bonding among friends and family members. 2. Recently, British magazine Auto Express pit the Audi R8 against the new Porsche 911 on a race track. These two supercars are actually distant relatives considering that both brands are under the Volkswagen Group's umbrella. The Audi R8 received a facelift in 2012 with the addition of a seven-speed S-tronic dual-clutch transmission that replaces the six-speed automated manual R-tronic. At the other corner, the all new Porsche 911 has a rich heritage that dates back to 1963 and has been acclaimed as one of the world's benchmark sports cars. The Porsche 911 Carrera 4S is propelled by a flat-six, 3.8-litre engine with an output of 394bhp. In the 4S, power is distributed to all four wheels via a PDK dual clutch transmission. On the other hand, the R8 in this comparison test is motivated by a free-breathing 4.2-litre V8 with 424bhp. Like the 911, the R8 has an all-wheel drive setup. Whoever wins this group test, Volkswagen wins.
  3. The mention of Phillip Island has brought back a lot of sweet memories for me due to a recent holiday spent over there. The penguin parade, grand scenery at The Nobbies and Fish & Chips at San Remo are some highlights of this lovely place. Phillip Island is also famous for its motorsport events. Now, the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit is getting a major upgrading with a fresh coat of tarmac costing AUD$3 million. This is the circuit's first major facelift in 14 years. The re-surfacing material is supposed to be very special. The asphalt mix was developed by the circuit managing director, Fergus Cameron, in conjunction with construction group Downer Australia to achieve the aim of a hard, durable and smooth surface resistant to the pressures of racing. This special asphalt will ensure high levels of grip as well. Over 35 heavy machines and 70 contractors were involved in a massive logistical operation that saw five meters of track laid every minute. Thus, re-laying the entire 4.4km track would take close to 15 hours. The Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit plays host to events such as the Australian motorcycle Grand Prix, Superbike World Championship, V8 Supercars and the Australian Drivers' Championship.
