  1. TL:DR – SMRT taxi abruptly stops on lane 1 of an expressway for reasons unknown and causes a massive chain collision in its wake before driving off, oblivious to the destruction it caused behind. There are idiot drivers everywhere Our latest example drives a SMRT taxi. Watch the video below to find out why. Here’s the rear-view camera footage The SMRT taxi abruptly stops just before an ERP gantry on lane 1. The alert cam car driver comes to a complete stop as well. One or two cars manage to avoid crashing into cam car by quickly changing to lane 2 before the chain collision occurs. Only Asian cars involved Besides the cam car (which I cannot identify), there’s a Mazda 3. A Toyota Altis. Or what looks like a Toyota Altis. (It became a hatchback after the crash). And of course, the unsuspecting Honda Fit (poor fella) that crashed into the Altis, causing the chain collision. Facebook Post by driver of Cam Car Online Chatter Upon exploring the comments, we managed to uncover a bit more about the incident. The cam car driver took the time to reply most of the comments. Maybe the taxi driver didn't notice what was happening behind him? He's still an idiot driver though. I needed to translate because my Chinese sucks. Yeah, this is the most likely scenario. If I’m not wrong, he’ll be claiming from the Mazda 3 driver and the Mazda 3 driver will claim from the Toyota Altis. Then the Altis will claim from the Honda Fit. But, what about the main culprit of this incident? The SMRT Taxi driver? ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. Join us today!
  2. Hi all. Anyone knows how I can prosecute someone for the above? Maybe some will serve it serves me right but I am just interested in how can I catch the bugger. My front camera caught him bending down and then up again in a swift manner. This was after I check my camera when my tyre got a nail. And why I suspected this bugger was because he was trying to cut queue and take my slot while I had been waiting in a crowded carpark. And I had to get down, be stern with him before he finally drove away. After I parked, I left for a while. Half an hour later when I returned and drove off, I noticed my tyre got a nail in it. Cannot be sp zhun one I was thinking. So I checked back my camera and there it shows the same guy in front of my ride moments ago. Unfortunately I cannot see exactly what he did in the video.

  4. Remember the news that the 95 year old Ah mah, former 红头今 who committed suicide? Internet people keep saying she committed suicide because of financial hardship and do not want to burden her children. Turn out to be untrue! Wanbao clarified that the web media misquoted and mistranslated the wanbao reports by adding their own interpretation of Ah mah's suicide by stating that Ah mah's family is suffering from financial hardship and she dont want to burden the family with healthcare costs. Wanbao added that it reserves legal rights to sue that web media. So turn out that Ah mah's family is actually well to do and had a dedicated maid to look after the Ah mah. But old people have the traditional mindset of not wanting to burden their family ..... :( [bigcry] ----- https://www.facebook.com/notes/kall-silva/her-name-is-mdm-lu-dai-hao/10151817917051344 A fellow Singaporean passed away on 11 Sep 13. She migrated to Singapore at the age of 17 from Canton, spent the bulk of her life working as a Samsui woman, and passed on at the age of 95, leaving behind a big family, all saddened by her sudden and shocking demise. The media, both mainstream and online, have focused on the fact that her passing was a suicide. What's worse, some quarters have seized on her demise and made huge leaps of guesswork to suggest that she was forced to take her life because of financial burden, that the government does not help the poor and elderly and that her is emblematic of uncaring governance. In so doing, crass assumption like "not wanting to burden the family with hospital bills" have deeply wounded the family because, by simple association, they too are seen as uncaring and obliquely responsible for her death. It's time for all the zealots and self-righteous to stop making use of this tragedy for their own agendas. None of us have any right to claim that she took her life because of this or that reason. None of us have the right to dishonour her featuring in the National Day Rally as now an irony of some imagined betrayal by the government. I believe she was truly proud to be honoured on our National Day, to tell us of how our pioneers toiled, suffered and build this home. We have no right to turn her into any kind of symbol for our selfish grievances. She is not your mother. She is the mother of her own children who are undoubtedly still grieving over her sudden departure. My heart goes out to them, caught up unwillingly in this swirl of mischevious media glare, while trying to heal and to move on with their lives. Let them grieve in peace. A fellow Singaporean passed away on 11 Sep 13. She, like many others of her generation, helped build Singapore to what it is today through quiet fortitude and sheer determination. Let us remember her gently with respect and grace. Her name is Mdm Lu Dai Hao (陆带好).
  5. From what I understand: 1) Gen Patraeus's mistress sent her threatening emails because she was considered a love rival 2) Housewife complained to FBI agent who was also emailing her his topless pics 3) FBI agent reported to his superiors and FBI discovered Gen Allen was having affair with housewife 4) FBI agent thought FBI was not investigating and whistle blow to members of congress 5) FBI agent is now also in trouble too for jumping the gun Is she really that sexy? If like that, our Cecilia can probably topple the Pentagon
  6. Someone made a secret video of him at a fundraiser and he made comments which will not go down well for voters. Most glaring is an elitist comment that people who support Obama are dependant on the govt, pay no taxes and are essentially bums. Very funny since Romney is quite dodgy over his own taxes. 9. Man gives false information on Mas Selamat to get rewards THE police have served a Court summons on a man who provided false information on escaped Jemaah Islamiah (JI) leader Mas Selamat Kastari. The man, a 50-year-old bus driver, also made up false information to implicate an innocent party with whom he had had an unpleasant encounter with before, the police said in a press release on Saturday. The man called the police on March 1 at about 8pm, saying that on Feb 27 he had seen a man resembling Mas Selamat board his bus and who later alighted at a bus stop along Lentor Avenue at about 8.30pm. He added that the passenger had emerged from the Old Police Academy at Thomson Road before boarding his bus at about 7.30pm. The police were immediately despatched to comb the Lentor Avenue area. On the same day, at about 11.15pm, the man told the police that he saw Mas Selamat riding pillion on a motorcycle and provided the registration plate of the motorcycle. He said Mas Selamat then alighted at a bus-stop along Thomson Road, near the Singapore Polo Club at about 8.15pm. Upon investigation, the police found that the owner of the motorcycle had been involved in a road rage incident with the caller at about 10pm that day. The man, had intentionally deceived the police 'in a bid to get the rewards being offered by various private organisations and individuals' for the arrest of Mas Selamat, the police said. The man is due to appear in court on March 10 to answer to three counts of giving false information to a public servant. Anyone convicted of providing false information to the authorities could face jail term of a year or a fine of up to $5,000, or both. The police encourage the public to call 999 immediately if they see any suspicious person or activities, no matter how trivial the information may seem. However, they warn that those who intentionally provide misleading information will be dealt with seriously as such deliberate disinformation distracts police resources and compromises on-going efforts to capture the fugitive. http://www.straitstimes.com/Latest%2BNews/...ory_214707.html
