This ultimately ended up causing damage to the other vehicle waiting in line. Looks like the stereotype of Singaporeans being ‘kanchiong’ is true after all. Many have condemned the Honda Shuttle for its reckless behavior and for selfishly causing damage to the other vehicle just to save up some time for itself. It does seem as if netizens are aware of who is really in the wrong here. In my opinion, the Hondo Shuttle should receive severe consequences for his actions. Not only is it an extremely selfish act, but it could have led to more potential traffic disruptions and accidents. For this video review, it's the Skoda Superb Laurin & Klement! In case you don't already know, Laurin & Klement are the surnames of Skoda's founders, and the brand pays homage to them by labelling the top specification of certain models with Laurin & Klement, to reflect the slightly special status of that particular car being the top trim level. And Idris will be showing you how superb the Skoda Superb is. And yes, if the words Skoda Superb ring a bell.... If there's one thing Skoda has really gotten right these past few years, it's how increasingly handsome their cars have become. To this writer, the attractiveness of the front fascia is balanced and not all in your face "look at me, I'm handsome". There's a certain amount of restraint and this writer certainly appreciates it. And like mentioned above, any Skoda with the Laurin & Klement badge is the top trim level of that particular Skoda model. Yes, it's pronounced "schko-da", not "sko-da" For a car in its class, the Superb really has a superb amount of boot space, 625 litres worth. That should be more than enough for an extended run to the supermarket with a detour for even more shopping. At Idris' height, look at the amount of legroom he still has. That really is generous. Trickling down from the higher echelon brands in the Volkswagen Audi Group, the virtual cockpit, which initially debuted in Audi models, has now made its way to Skoda. Skoda adds yet more incentive to opt for its excellent Superb with its 1.8 TSI variant, so naturally we take one up North into the Cameron Highlands in Malaysia to test it out. Despite being a more affordable alternative, the Superb Ambition didn't disappoint at all. From the inside at least, the 8.0-inch infotainment system was still intuitive to use, with two physical knobs to control the volume and scroll through menus, while the car remained very compliant and comfortable on the road throughout the 1,400km drive. For sure, features such as ventilated seats, ambient lighting, and a sunroof have been omitted in this variant, but at a good $29,000 discount off the 2.0-litre Laurin & Klement variant (as of 10 September 2019), we think these are features you can live without. The 1.8-litre turbocharged lump is good for 177bhp and 250Nm of torque, meaning there is no stark difference in performance against the 2.0-litre powerplant as well.
