  1. MINI's range-topping John Cooper Works GP has been spotted at the Nurburgring near production form. It is rumored to get 300bhp. The limited edition hot hatch will be the company's fastest and most powerful model till date, thanks to a turbocharged 2.0-litre four cylinder engine. As reported by Carscoops, production will be limited to just 3000 units. Likely to be the swansong for the current model generation, the car looks like it will feature a pretty wild body kit with plenty of aero. Other than the very aggressive fender flares and rear roof spoiler, it looks like the JCW GP will also get a new front bumper with a different grill and exhaust tips that are larger than standard. Elsewhere, the car might have also lost its rear seats to reduce weight while getting bigger brakes, stickier tyres and a retuned suspension. The car is expected to be revealed before the year ends.

  6. Where there are fashion weeks, there will also be wardrobe malfunctions. On the first day of Singapore Fashion Week, we spotted a minor problem with one of the outfits at local designer brand GINLEE’s show. While the model was sashaying down the runway in a long silky blue top with a major plunging neckline, a slip on the top’s right side exposed what appeared to be a stick-on silicone bra. 7. In Eunosville....dunno to laugh or feel concerned...hahahaha Python hides in Eunosville toilet bowl, bites housewife's thighhttp://buff.ly/1qfN3Se Python hides in Eunosville toilet bowl, bites housewife's thigh | The New Paper May 1 was Labour Day, her son's second birthday, and now, Madam Noraslinda Asat (above) has another reason to remember this date for life. WWW.TNP.SG May 1 was Labour Day, her son's second birthday, and now, Madam Noraslinda Asat (above) has another reason to remember this date for life. The 34-year-old housewife was bitten by a python as she sat on the toilet bowl last Thursday, around 5.10pm. She was in her Eunosville home's master bedroom ensuite bathroom when she felt the sharp pain. Standing up, she saw the jaws of a 1.8m-long python clamped on the back of her right thigh. She was taken to hospital where she received an injection and was discharged. The snake has not been caught and Madam Noraslinda is still traumatised. She has refused to use either toilet at home, preferring public ones at places like the coffee shop. Read the full report in The New Paper on Thursday (May 8).
  8. http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sg...mber_plate.html 2 different cars spotted with exactly the same number plate How is it possible that two different cars have exactly the same number plate, a STOMPer asks after spotting these vehicles parked side-by-side in her condominium carpark. This should not be possible both legally and logically, she says. The sender says: "This morning, I saw two different make cars bearing the same number plates parked in my estate. "Logically there shouldn't be two cars with exactly matching number plates. "They were parked inside our condominium's surface carpark lots so they should not be residents in our estate". ---------------------- Pending transfer of licence plates?

  11. Kazakhstan: Mysterious black ring spotted floating in the sky I hope there is a mcfer who are good in science here to tell us more about it. Residents spotted a mysterious phenomenon in the sky above the Shortandy village, near Astana, Saturday. Roughly one kilometre (0.6 miles) above ground, a large black ring was floating in the air for around 15 minutes. It then disappeared completely, leaving no trace behind. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTLhPo5Iv3A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NTz5cbltXA

  13. ...to stop lying. http://www.asiaone.com/News/Latest%2BNews/...729-362053.html AsiaOne Sunday, Jul 29, 2012 SINGAPORE - Mr Kelvin Ong Wee Loong, the founder of AristoCare centre, charges a whopping $250 per lesson for parents of primary school students looking to clinch a place in the coveted Gifted Education Programme (GEP). GEP is a highly selective academic programme in Singapore, designed to identify the top 1 per cent of students from each academic year. On his website, the 36-year-old claimed he was previously from Clementi Town Primary before being admitted to Anglo-Chinese School's (Primary) GEP in Primary 4. He further stated that he went on to attend Anglo-Chinese Junior College and the National University of Singapore, before becoming a teacher in the GEP programme at his alma mater. However, checks by the Ministry of Education (MOE) revealed that Mr Ong was neither ever a pupil nor teacher in the programme, The Sunday Times reported (SUT) He is not even a qualified teacher, and according to ACS (Primary), not even a student of the school. MOE was alerted to the claims when SUT ran a report on parents sending children for costly tuition, where Mr Ong was featured as a highly sought after tutor. In response to the revelations, Mr Ong said it was his mother who told him that he was from the gifted programme and he could not verify it because he does not have the records from the past. [laugh] Knn, he himself dunno wan meh? What kinda lousy liar is this? He has since cleaned up his website and now claims that he was a relief teacher at ACS (Primary) from 2002 to 2003 and 'helped out' with the gifted classes. Lobang pichar still want to lie somemore. However, this too is being disputed by the ACS (Primary), which said that a check with all its long-serving teachers revealed that there was never a Kelvin Ong who taught there as a relief teacher. This is not the first time Mr Ong has faced allegations of misleading claims. Two parents have asked him to remove positive testimonials supposedly written by their children, saying that their children never wrote them. In 2010, Mr Ong also got into hot water with MOE for selling fake 2009 GEP Screening and Selection Test papers. [email protected] Who bring their children to this fark dup centre? I wonder why MOE do not shut down his centre and blacklist the liar. Should sent him to jail for fraud.
  14. Stomper Stunned saw this man lying facedown on a Toyota Altis and clinging desperately to the sides of the car at about 7pm today (Oct 18) along Jalan Jurong Kechil. The Stomper is unsure what sparked the incident but said it seemed like the man was attempting to stop the driver and passenger from moving off. In a phone conversation with Stomp, the Stomper said: "There was some 'drama' along Jalan Jurong Kechil today (Oct 18), sometime at around 7pm. "I was driving along the road just outside the Bukit Timah Community Centre when I saw this man lying on top of the windshield of a Toyota Altis. "He was clinging onto the sides as the car moved along the stretch of road. My friend, who was in my car at that time, took a video of the incident. "The man appeared to be trying to stop the driver and passenger. "The car was going at a speed of about 40km/h. Epic." http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/singaporeseen/this-urban-jungle/what-happened-man-spotted-clinging-onto-moving-car-at-jalan-jurong-kechil#xtor=CS1-2 what happened ah? mediacorp filming some new drama?!

  16. I happened to see a very old E30 318 coupe on the road this afternoon. Such a shame that it was on a tow truck heading in the direction of defu lane. Probably going to a workshop around that area. Such a shame to see it in such a state. At least the body looks in good shape. Will upload the picture of it later once I black out the plate.
  17. Picnic06 spotted at a 'baseball' game ........ Yahoo news: Big sports fan becomes an even bigger legend By Eurosport | World of Sport A sports fan has become, unintentionally, a viral online sensation for doing absolutely nothing in the stands. The baseball match between Los Angeles and Washington saw this man caught on the TV broadcast hanging out with an entire row all to himself - and it's clear to see why. Understandably, as a result of his considerable size and distinct lack of clothing, he became the subject of many, many responses and links on social media - then TV. For all the love he received on Twitter and other forms of the media, this fan certainly soaked up every minute of the five-and-a-half hour match in the best possible fashion. link: https://sg.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/world-of-sport/big-sports-fan-becomes-an-even-bigger-legend-185220016.html
  18. The real McCoy, not some large monitor lizard claimed to be one swimming in some Pasir Ris river not too long ago. From STOMP: http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sg...ngei_buloh.html Posted on 16 May 2012 Wild crocodiles spotted at Sungei Buloh A STOMPer spotted two wild crocodiles resting at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve in the span of a week. Also known as estuarine or saltwater crocodiles, they have been spotted several times at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, although these sightings are not common. They are considered indigenous to the region and can grow up to a length of 8m long, with a diet consisting mostly of fish. Crocodiles are often confused with Malayan water monitor lizards, which are shy, non-venomous reptiles that sometimes make an appearance in large canals. The STOMPer wrote: "This 1.3 metre crocodile was seen resting last weekend at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve. "Another crocodile, more than 2 metres long, was also seen basking in the sun earlier in the day."
  19. Heavy vehicle drivers beware. Ghostly White Van spotted this morning along CTE (towards Yishun) whilst going to work at about 6.35am. After crossing the bridge accross AMK Ave 3, spotted a 'white' van stop a lorry by the side of CTE and the van with flashing lights at the tail door. As I passed by the van, it just move off leaving the driver of the lorry standing beside his lorry and I turn my head and look at he driver, he was in 'uniform' .... The 'white' van has the distinguish markings of the HW patrol car 'Orange' reflective line running at the side lowest point of the van from the rear to the front. Thereafter, can see other lorries, vans and buses travelling along CTE at the 4th & 3rd lanes within their speed limit or slower. No heavy vehicles on the 2nd and 1st lane. Not the usual morning driving of those heavy vehicles as I travelled this road every morning to work. On Vesak Day along the same stretch of CTE, spotted one all 'White' Mitsubishi Lancer stopped a saloon car by the side. The 'white' lancer only display a small 'blue' brinker on the roof. Has anyone spotted the same 'White' van like I did this morning ? Didn't know they are using van too ...

  21. The Lamborghini Cabrera spotted for the first time ever Earlier, about a week ago, I told you that the Lamborghini Cabrera was likely to make its appearance at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show. Now, things are getting closer to reality. The supposedly long-awaited Gallardo replacement has finally been spotted for the first time ever and it has been attracting plenty of hype on the World Wide Web. The previously rumoured Lamborghini Cabrera Unlike what most people believed before, it seems that Italian automaker Lamborghini has changed its mind and that the Cabrera will no longer borrow styling cues from the Lamborghini Aventador. Judging from its front fascia from what I can see in the picture, the model is looks pretty similar to the current generation Lamborghini Gallardo. Yet, the bonnet feels rather long somehow, keeping in mind that the raging bull is supposed to carry a mid-mounted engine. It's also likely that the Cabrera will count on a 600bhp V10 engine mated to an AWD drivetrain and an automatic transmission. Oh, a RWD drivetrain may also show up later as a special edition, I believe. Sadly there isn't much else I can tell you for now since the super car isn't likely to be offered for sale for another two years anyway, so we still have plenty of time to find out more, don't we?
