  4. This poll is inspired by a car i saw earlier today, and also the recent announcement by HDB that there is no longer a need to display the season parking RFID tag any more. Some may think having too many decals and stickers is an overkill, but others may like it and do the same on their own car. For me, i have a few decals but dont like to overclutter... As some of you may know, i have MCF sticker too haha... Do post pics of the decals and stickers that you are proudest of! cheers!

  6. I don't mind this if we get to design our own stickers! One of the pros is that hit and run drivers will never need to worry about leaving behind their numberplates as evidence anymore. 😅
  7. After a car inspection at VICOM or STA, some guys will stick a VICOM/STA sticker on your rear windscreen. It is very difficult to remove, worst if u try to remove it after it has been there for months. It causes stains the windscreen. And the sticker is nothing to be proud of, but an ugly eyesore. Do u guys allow them to stick sticker on your car without your permission, using your car as free advertisement for their company?
  8. Just want to confirm this myth once and for all. There are TOO much confusion over this issue till today for car. Let's not talk about motorcycle plate, as that is really going to messed up the LTA Vs Inspectors opinion further. Lets keep to car plate in this thread. Is sticker type licence plate legal and can pass LTA inspection or the overly enthusiastic inspectors at test centers? Background. The stickers wordings size and thickness and spacing strictly follows LTA standards. Instead of pasting it on a metal plate and frame, it is directly pasted onto the same location where the licence plate is design to be by car manufacturer. That means the sticker is pasted onto the front plastic bumper where the usual metal licence plates are expected to be, same for the rear metal boot licence plate placement location. What is your opinion? All along I believe it is fully legal. Untill I read this article on sgcarmart. http://www.sgcarmart.com/news/writeup.php?AID=339 3. Don't put yourself in a sticky situation The LTA does not allow vehicle owners to attach sticker-type car plates to their vehicles in place of the standard ones made out of aluminium or acrylic. Anyone from LTA can once and for all confirm this matter?
  9. anyone with some time to spare, and a steady hand with interest in arts and crafts may try this simple cosmetic enhancement. totally legal and accentuates the contours of your car. Look for some features of your car that you think you love. such as shoulder lines, wheel arch lines etc and go from there. Here is my simple DIY guide on how to accentuate my DRL area to show off the aggressiveness of the body design. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dL8zugYgtrQ Remember some simple tips that were not mentioned in the video : Always clean your surface well Measure twice, cut once Have a good imagination, too !

  13. Last time, I remember what ever thing we buy or use must have the SAFETY mark sticker from PSB (now SPRING). retailers are not allow to sell things without the safety marks.... now the market is flooded with electrical items that are not tested for safety... means we can use, but at our own risk.... i saw so many different kind of wall receptacle with USB charger in Sim Lim... so tempted... but if something happens to the house (eg. fire la... bla bla bla caused but this item), does insurance still cover?
  14. hi guys, I have a protective transparent sticker for my front headlamp in case of any stone chips. it was bought and installed separately. now I need to remove it and re-stick another good quality one. but first, I need to remove it to inspect the headlamp lens. any good shops that can remove this?
  15. when you are dealing with OPC, esp related to number plate, it is a pain, due to the security seal. was told to replace this during inspection. but to replace means i gotta spend $200 to get the seal broken at LTA, replace the plates then go back to LTA to reapply the seal. that is extremely expensive for plate replacement. are there cheaper alternative besides hand painting the numbers with white paint? i heard of stickers. but scared those will peel after awhile. and BTW, how much does those stickers cost? any idea? Any advise is welcomed.

Going closer then I realise that its a car with black felt sticker! First time seeing. I wonder what happens when bird shit drops on it.
  20. https://www.facebook.com/dmvinyl The Benefits of Vinyl Wrap ReversibilityAs long as your vehicle's finish is original factory paint, vinyl wrap removal should propose no issues. After all, it is purpose-designed for this usage and the adhesive was engineered to not cause any paint damage upon professional removal. Vinyl wrap is only as permanent as you would like it to be; it is fully reversible! OEM Fit & Finish As vinyl wrapping involves colour customisation of your vehicle's original parts, the integrity and quality of your car will remain true. Unlike the fitting of some after-market components, there will be no il-fitting parts or issues which might affect the functioning of your vehicle. Paint Protection PropertiesAny vinyl wrapped areas will be covered and protected from stone chips, scratches and the elements. Components that are covered by vinyl wrap will not suffer weathering or fading from harmful UV either. Resale value of your vehicle is therefore retained. Unlimited Styling Possibilities – Be your own car designerCarbon Demon can turn your styling ideas into reality. A carbon fibre look for the front grille? Maybe a pair of gloss red GT stripes for the bonnet? GT3 insignia for your Porsche perhaps? Anything is possible! Repair damaged or weathered surfacesVinyl wrap has good opacity and coverage properties. It can be used to refinish damaged or worn surfaces as long as the surfaces have had proper preparation (loose or flaky substrates will have to be sanded smooth first). In most cases, vinyl wrapping worn parts is more cost effective than complete parts replacement. Lightweight – Durable – Low Maintenance Vinyl wrap material is lightweight. The material is durable and can be cleaned with the usual car-cleaning products. We wrap components in such a way that would allow even pressure washing. Form & Function – you can have your cake and eat it, too! Special Finishes (that paint can't offer) Choose from a colour range of over hundreds from well known vinyl wrap brands – 3M, Avery, Hexis and more. Many of these effects are not easily achievable through traditional spray painting techniques. Examples include chrome, matte finishes, matte metallics, carbon fibre and brushed alumin
