  2. After its introduction of its current form in 1998, all new Jimny coming next year, after 20 years. Next-gen Suzuki Jimny 4×4 undisguised images leakedhttps://paultan.org/2017/08/25/next-gen-suzuki-jimny-4x4-undisguised-images-leaked/ The Suzuki Jimny has been around in its current third-generation form for almost a decade now, but the tiny off-roader is set to get a reboot at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show that happens in October. Images of the next-generation Suzuki Jimny have now been leaked ahead of its Tokyo debut, and it shows the new car undisguised. The images you see here are likely to be from official presentation slides. They show a very square cut 4×4 that recalls the second-generation Jimny’s more basic design. Tall sides, big glass areas and vertical slats on the grille provide the link to Jimnys past, but the toy-like face is also modern and fits in well with Suzuki’s cool range of small cars – the Alto, Hustler and Ignis are all cute little things. The Jimny is no modern crossover, and will likely retain all of its famous off-road capabilities. A tailgate-mounted spare wheel keeps it real and chunky overfenders and black bumpers hint at its purpose. There’s also a look at the new Jimny’s interior. The dashboard is typically shallow and upright, and while there are similarities with the Ignis, it’s clear that Suzuki went for a ‘tough’ look with overtly rugged cues – see the instrument binnacle and exposed “bolts”. There’s a big infotainment screen in the middle. No specs leaked along with the pics, but possible engines could include Suzuki’s 1.0 litre three-cylinder “Boosterjet” turbo and a naturally-aspirated 1.2 litre four-cylinder unit from the Ignis. As a kei-car in Japan, a 660cc turbo triple is regulation. Suzuki Jimny Replacement Spotted On Public Roads For The First Timehttp://www.carscoops.com/2017/08/suzuki-jimny-replacement-spotted-on.html

  4. This shall be my retirement ride, if the COE continues to remain at the current level. Anything higher, will go BMW liao. Five-Door Suzuki Jimny Spied Flaunting Its Longer Wheelbase The Suzuki Jimny is about to grow a bit bigger and gain an extra pair of doors to make the little SUV a bit more utilitarian. These spy shots catch one of them testing in Europe. Aesthetically, the five-door Jimny looks identical to the existing version, except for the lengthened body and extra doors. The spy photographer estimates that the wheelbase is about 300 millimeters longer than the existing 3 door variant. The width and height appear to be unchanged. Another interesting note from the photographer was that this vehicle seemed to be driving without producing any engine noise. This suggests that the Jimny might be getting a hybrid drive train. It's not clear whether the existing 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine making 100 horsepower (75 kilowatts) would continue to be available or whether this potentially electrically assisted setup would completely replace it. Switching to the turbocharged, mild-hybrid engine would give the Jimny improved emissions. This might rectify the current issue that limits the model's availability to a two-seat, commercial product in Europe. According to a rumor from Japan in 2021, Suzuki plans to call this model the Jimny Long, which fits with exactly what it is. The same report claims this version uses a turbocharged, mild-hybrid engine, which fits with what the photographer of this one is saying. For JDM models, price for the five-door would be about 300,000 yen more than the three-door unit. This Jimny Long, or whatever it final name is, is expected to be unveiled by end of this year, and become officially available from 2023. Stay tuned for more info.
  5. Enjoy!!! I think this MPV from Nissan. Coz Nissan and Suzuki make a deal of exchange supply programme :) Nice, but not sure CM will bring in?
  6. Vehicle is having some issues with engine turning over when in a up hill slope. So far it did not happen on a flat surface. Engine is able to start. However within 1 second it chokes and stall. Found a temp solution to resolve this issue for the time being. 1) Keys to on position ( wait for 5-10seconds) after the buzzing sound is gone By the way. The buzzing sound was present since the first day I collected the car 2) Start the engine The above steps resolve the issue for the time being. I am starting to suspect fuel pump is going to give way or fuel fliter is choked. There is no vacume leak in the car and all the electronics system seems to be fine. No error code yet.
  7. After driving for about 2 years on stock air filter, I decided to try the K&N drop-in air filter for my Suzuki Swift 1.5A. Been using it for 2 weeks, and I am really surprised to find how smooth the engine feels. With the stock filter, when I would step hard on the accelerator, the engine would sound a little strained, and the RPM would climb slowly. But with the K&N drop-in filter, the engine revs more readily, the gear changes are lot more smoother, and it feels as if some blockage has been removed. I know the filtration for aftermarket drop-in filter is not as good as the stock filter. Contemplating if I should be reverting back to stock filter to preserve the engine, or enjoy the smoother ride. Any comments?
  8. The following incident is quite a handful, featuring an inconsiderate Suzuki swift driver, the Suzuki's 'guai-lan' passenger and a very angry cam car driver. Watch the it here: What Happened? The incident occurred at an open-air carpark. For some reason, the female Suzuki Swift driver decided to drive out of the parking lot to the middle of the road for her passenger (likely her son) to load groceries into the car. Just then, the cam car driver that was parked opposite the Suzuki Swift wanted to drive off, only to be blocked by the Suzuki Swift. There was nothing the cam car driver could do but watch the male passenger load up the groceries into the Suzuki Swift. At this point, the cam car driver started to get annoyed by the pair's inconsiderate and selfish act. After turning out to the main road of the carpark, the cam car driver meets the male passenger again - this time, on his way to return the trolley. Upon realising the cam car was trailing closely behind him, the male passenger turned around and started making hand gestures to the cam car. Moments later, he suddenly stopped walking, which caused the cam car to gently 'bump' into him (?). The male passenger immediately whips out his mobile phone to take pictures of the cam car and film him. And even as the male passenger was filming the cam car, the obviously infuriated cam car driver decided to intimidate him by inching forward, nearly hitting the youth once again. In retaliation to the cam car's intimidation, the youth gently slides the trolley towards the cam car, which knocks into the cam car's front bumper. It is uncertain how the incident ended. Regardless, both parties were definitely in the wrong. One party lacked the graciousness and upbringing, while the other decided to take matters into his own hands and attempted to intimidate the youth by inching his car towards him. What do you think? Netizens' Comments This would be a funny😂 But I think he might have really been knocked into tho. But his reaction still GTG lah🥴 Need to ownself check ownself first. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 10. <The Suzuki Jimny Fuses With The Suzuki Every To Make The Cutest Overland Kei Car The custom Jimry is a Jimny with a sleeper compartment. Kind of. Photo: T-Style A tuner in Yokohama, Japan combined the looks and off-road capability of the Suzuki Jimny with the passenger capacity and space efficiency of the Suzuki Every. The combination producing what T-Style Design calls the Suzuki Jimry, an overland kei car that may not have the off-road chops of the Jimny, but certainly has the attitude. This is probably as close as we’ll get to a Jimny with sliding van doors and I love it. The Jimry is built using the Suzuki Every as a base according to Autocosmos, but it has some modifications to its suspension that make it more trail worthy. Photo: T-Style The stock Suzuki Every sits almost 6 inches off the ground, and the Jimry mods raise it by 1.5 inches for a total of 7.5 inches of ground clearance. The stock 13-inch tires are replaced by 14- or 15-inch tires, depending on the build. Some Jimry builds are 4WD, but not all. And others get even more ground clearance, up to four inches over stock. The Jimry keeps the Every’s 660cc three-cylinder engine to comply with Kei car regulations. That engine makes about 63 horespower and 70 lb-ft of torque. Many of the conversions from TSD come with a five-speed manual transmission, but some get an automatic gearbox. Other gear includes a top box and rooftop tent, along with custom mudguards and bumpers that add to the Jimny look. Of course, it wouldn’t be complete without the Jimny grille. The grille sits below what looks like the tiniest “hood” ever, but since the Suzuki Every is a cabover design, the hood is not covering an engine. And I’m unsure if it’s the stocky dimensions or stand-offish front end but I’m getting Hummer H2 vibes. Even then, I still can’t help but love all the Jimry builds. Photo: T-Style Photo: T-Style The mods keep going into the interior, which has slide-out storage compartments beneath a modular bed. The bed sits atop the rear seats when these are folded and it takes up the entire rear portion of the cabin. That’s only in one of the Jimry builds advertised by TSD, and it looks like the mods are made to suit the owner. Prices for the Jimry range from $21,725 to $22,337 or so. That’s for whole Jimry builds. Autocosmos reports that the modifications alone start at around $2,178. Photo: T-Style Photo: T-Style Photo: T-Style Photo: T-Style Photo: T-Style>

  12. Think you need a new set of tyres? Just leave it to the professionals at Borneo Motors and Champion Motors to sort it out - you deserve to drive with peace of mind. Text and photos by Goh Zhi Xuan You’ve probably heard and read about this a dozen times, but I’ll reiterate, tyres are the most important part on any wheeled vehicle. Think about it, they are the only point of contact between your car and the road. The tyres are the ones doing the heavy lifting to keep you safe and sound while driving down the roads, and that’s why you would want the best when it comes to them. If you are driving a Lexus, Toyota or Suzuki, here’s some great news. You won’t have much to worry about the tyres on your cars, Borneo Motors (BMS) and Champion Motors (CMS) now offer the most comprehensive tyre protection programme in the industry - Total Tyre Shield. Strict quality control that you can trust There are no better people than the skilled technicians at your Authorised Distributor (AD) to entrust the important job of maintaining your car. Needless to say, when it comes to something as important as tyres, you’ll do well with the same trusted bunch. Trained and certified by the respective manufacturers, experts at your AD would have the intrinsic knowledge on every nook and cranny, and knows just how to keep your car running perfectly and safely. When you entrust your car to the AD you can be sure that only the adequate size and type of tyre for your car will be recommended, ensuring a safe and fuss-free driving experience. With the strict quality control in place as well as the knowledge on proper storage of tyres, you wouldn’t have to worry about the condition of the tyres that you are getting – with BMS and CMS, quality is assured. Exceptional value It’s not just quality that you’ll get, Borneo Motors and Champion Motors are determined to offer the best value to its customers as well. There’s really no need to shop around for tyres when you can get such a great deal with the AD. If you have a preferred brand, you’ll be glad to know that there are several brands of tyres for you to choose from. BMS and CMS works directly with the distributors of the tyre brands, not only does this open up a range of tyres to best fit your needs, it also enables them to minimise your tyre costs. And the cost savings is clear to see - tyres for Toyota and Suzuki cars begin at just $96 per piece. Meanwhile, drivers of Lexus cars can get their new tyres from as low as $160. The best part of getting your new tyres from BMS or CMS, is the Total Tyre Shield programme that you’ll automatically get to enjoy when you purchase a fresh set of tyre from them. Total Tyre Shield allows you to drive with peace of mind What is Total Tyre Shield? Well, think of it as an insurance plan for your tyres. Total Tyre Shield offers unlimited coverage on three important services to ensure the longevity of a set of tyres - puncture repair, rotation and wheel balancing, when you purchase a fresh set of tyres. Encountering punctures on your tyres can be a frustrating experience. If you were to leave it be, and drive on low tyre pressure unknowingly, you will risk damaging your tyres and may even endanger your own life should the tyre fail catastrophically. That is why you should get punctures repaired as soon as possible. While tyres are expected to last between 40,000km and 50,000km, or an average lifetime of three years in normal circumstances, this is only achievable with routine tyre rotation, each time you service your car, to ensure even tyre wear. Do not slight the importance of wheel balancing. An unbalanced wheel can result in many problems, it can result in steering vibration, affecting the handling of your car, it can also cause uneven tyre wear, once again shortening the lifespan of your tyres. When you purchase a fresh set of tyres for your Lexus, Toyota or Suzuki from Borneo Motors or Champion Motors, you won’t have to worry about paying for the maintenance of your car’s tyres - everything you need to stay safe on the road is included with your tyre purchase. Tyres are important, don’t wait any longer. Contact BMS or CMS today to make an appointment for a set of fresh tyres!
  13. Car and Coffee, I love the concept! 😍😍 MCF should consider getting one to facilitate joint event with ADs. And when situation is back to normal, this Jimny Beans can be deployed for members' MU too. 😎 Source: https://www.piston.my/2021/09/01/fresh-coffee-wherever-you-want-it-with-suzuki-jimny-beans/ In this age of increasing food trucks and mobile food services, here’s an idea from Suzuki’s British subsidiary which turns the Suzuki Jimny into a mobile coffee bar. The conversion of the compact SUV was carried out by Coffee Latino, which specializes in such projects. The vehicle has a Chiffon Ivory Pearl metallic finish with Bluish Black roof and is nicknamed ‘Jimny Beans’. It will be used by the company for promotional activities in the UK, offering complimentary coffee at the venues. The conversion makes maximum use of space within the compact dimensions of the vehicle. The front passenger’s seat was removed to accommodate all the services required which include a 57-litre water tank with 3M filtration system to ensure the water is clean. A compact 12V drawer fridge manufactured by Waeco is also fitted which cools milk to -2 degrees Centigrade. At events, the vehicle can run on either gas or mains electricity with power inverter and has two additional large capacity 125A/H 12V batteries to assist with power if required. For gas, a LPG tank was installed in the limited space under the rear floor section which required a specially designed exhaust system with side exit pipe. And with its 4×4 drivetrain, the little Suzuki can also be taken off-road to camp sites or the beach for fresh coffee. The high specification coffee machine, manufactured by Fracino, is fully integrated into the rear section of the vehicle with an aluminium-topped work area and milled aluminium effect panel surround. It has the facility to serve two speciality coffees at the same time via its twin milk frothing units as well as central hot water dispenser for tea.
  14. As per title, I can't shift my car out of park position and so I've been using the shift lock override to shift it out of park for the past one week. Googled around and found a few possibilities for this. Wondering if this is a common problem. Car is currently at my workshop getting diagnosed. 1. Incline Induced Pawl Pressure - happens when your car is parked on an incline, not for my case 2. Brake switch failure - I checked and my brake lights are working as they should 3. Faulty Shift Interlock Solenoid 4. Malfunctioning Ignition Switch 5. Open circuit in the shift interlock electrical system
  15. Hi guys, does anyone have any idea where in sg (preferably north area) that i can get a normal Suzuki or hopefully Suzuki Sport decal sunshade similar to the pic below? If not I'll just have to get a normal plain black one. Any help greatly appreciated! Cheers D
  16. I just realized that Suzuki Solio is no longer in the new car price list and the car was not present at the car show in Expo. I thought Solio was just launched end of last year? Anyone knows?
  17. When coming to a car comparison, one of the most important aspect that we will mention is drivability. And today we have two goondus testings out the drivability at CTE on 1st of March. As you can see, the Honda Vezel make the first move at the start of the video cutting from the third lane to the second lane making the Suzuki Jimny braking hard. And with the ALLGRIP 4Wheel drive technology from Suzuki, it easily helps the Suzuki Jimny conquer the Honda Vezel back. As he is again on pole position. While not admitting defeat, the Honda Vezel instantaneously retaliate by activating its i-VTEC that unleash all 130bhp from the engine. Overtaking the poor ComfortDelGro cab and scaring the Suzuki Jimny with a Dom's stare. These two goondus had made the CTE their battleground lasting for more than 1min 30sec. Which fortunately there is no accident involved during this time. Watch the full video here. I am assuming that these goondus have continued the dogfight even after they exited the expressway. For our readers out there, let bygones be bygones. Hatred breed hatred. So when there is a car cutting your lane, just be gracious about it. Let's keep our road safe and our car free from an accident! BTW, listen to the video with volume on, the dramatic background sound makes the video even funnier. 🤣
  18. Need some valuable inputs from the experts here. I am currently driving a 12 years old Suzuki Swift Sport ZC31S. I must say the driving experience has been great along these years. My entire family is small sized hence space is not an issue and personally I like to drive small cars. Until the recent years after my first child was born. I start to feel the car has 0 level of comfort. Suspension is horrible, can feel every bump on the road. Wind/road noise seems fine. Suspension is really dam rough I tried doing the following things to "soften the suspension" 1) Swap aftermarket suspension back to stock. A good condition item 2) Tyres downsized to 15" 195/60/15 I am not looking for comfort levels of the standards of luxury cars but looking forward to enhance the comfort of my ride to the likes of maybe a old altis/latio/elantra? If the following can be fulfilled with any aftermarket solution, any opinion is much welcomed! 1) Tone down the acceleration and braking power. Every time when I apply gas/brakes my family members will make noise they "surge forward/backwards" 2) A softer and more comfortable suspension as compared to stock. 3) If I change Tyres to 185/60/15 will it improve on anything? By the way my entire vehicle is stock for these years Sorry if this post is weird in anyway. I am just looking for a more comfortable ride for my family without the need to buying a new car.
  19. source: https://hypebeast.com/2021/2/2021-suzuki-hayabusa-superbike-motorbike-japanese-power-speed-performance-engine-information Suzuki debuted the Hayabusa in 1999, catapulting the unassuming Japanese marque into a world of superbike notoriety, and now the all-new 2021 version has been unveiled. The ‘Busa is instantly recognizable thanks to its low, long, and wide body, despite the new model featuring over 550 new parts that come together to create a “wind-cheating bodywork” frame and a better riding experience. For example, lines are sharper and at the front, you’ll find a new set of vertically-stacked LED headlights situated in the new angular air intakes, while other signature elements such as the dash clocks have been modernized with a color TFT screen. Furthermore, the 1340cc inline-four-cylinder engine has been completely revised to make it quicker off the line than its predecessors. While it may only hit 186 MPH thanks to an electronic limit, new pistons, conrods, crankshaft, and camshaft enhancements — coupled with tech such as ABS and traction control, cruise control, launch control, a bi-directional quickshifter, engine brake control, and three power modes — makes for improved torque delivery in low-to-mid revs, therefore making it quicker from the word go. In short, the ‘Busa delivers 187 HP and 150 Nm of torque, which is more than enough to shift the superbike from 0-62 MPH in around 2 seconds, much like its predecessors. Take a look at the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa in the gallery above, and find out more information on Suzuki’s website. The suggested retail price of the new motorbike is £16,499 GBP (approx. $22,499 USD).
  20. Hi guys, would like to know if it is possible / legal to turbo charge a 09/10 suzuki swift sport? mainly to achieve the turbo flutter sound (sutututu). any inputs are welcomed.
  21. Got a text message from Champion Motors today saying that they are showing 2 news cars off at the Pandan showroom this Saturday. The Solio and S-Cross. This is from Suzuki HK The Suzuki Solio is a wagon that gives great fuel economy, has a tall, roomy cabin within a compact body, and offers the user-friendliness of left- and right-hand remote control electric sliding doors. The new Solio reflects a concept of developing a tall, compact wagon thats fun to drive, user-friendly, and outstandingly fuel-efficient. Its body is compact enough for great maneuverability on city streets but contains a roomy cabin. Convenient left- and right-hand rear sliding doors are complemented by a one-touch double-folding rear seat that permits a variety of seat arrangements. And a 1.2-litre engine delivers smooth, fuel-efficient performance. By being easy to drive, easy to use, and economical, the new Solio delivers everything expected of a compact car. Suzuki created the new Solio to be an ideal choice for customers looking to move upscale from minicars and for those looking to downsize to a more compact model. Suzuki expects the new Solio to join the Swift as a pillar of its sales growth in the compact category. Type K12B No. of cylinders 4 No. of valves V V T DOHC 16 Piston Displacement (cc) 1242 Bore x Stroke (mm) 73.0 x 74.2 Compression Ratio 9.5 : 1 Maximum Output (PS/rpm) 67 (91) / 6000 Maximum Torque (kg-m/rpm) 118 (12.0) / 4800 Fuel Consumption (km/L) 20.6 And the S-Cross 1.6 CVT tranny Dunno if manuals and 4WD versions coming in.
  22. Now this is not very smart. Thanks to social media apps like Instagram allowing news to spread like bush fire, you now best keep your 'bad' stuff to yourself... Check out this video of some mates videoing themselves going at high speed on our expressways in the wee morning of 10th May 2020. As seen on SG Road Vigilante, this insta story posted by n1zem, shows them going as fast as 180km/h in their Suzuki Swift Sport. Granted, the roads are pretty empty as we are in the midst of the Circuit Breaker period but there is still no reason for going this fast. For those who are wondering, 'Naked Crew" is a local car group and they can be found on Instagram. As usual, the comments by netizens are harsh and probably a bit hurtful. 1.mp4
  23. Car Media Is Helping Suzuki Vitara Car Owner To Fight For Their Rights! Guys. You guys have to watch this. I highly recommend it. I highly respect CarBuyTV taiwan host's 嘉偉哥 that he is willing to stand in for a group of vitara owner to seeks for grievance. Really amicable. He is risking his "sponsorship" or "test drive" opportunity in return of credibility. Highly respect!
  24. Suzuki Baleno, slightly bigger than a Swift powered by their own 1.0 Booster Jet Engine (Suzuki's very own force induction engine). A car with lots of potential to be as successful as the Swift. Available for sale in the UK from September 2016, hope it will be launched in the local market soon after that. And of course COE price will drop to a more affordable price.
