  4. further questions 1. does the larger capacity car you drive tells something that of your financial status (please remember it is CARS we are talking about and NOT LORRY or MRT)? 2. when you drive a higher capacity, does your ego become inflated? 3. would you place priority in buying a bigger cc car over saving the money for investment? 4. finally when you bought a car, did you really calculate if you can afford the maintenance expenses, including petrol, carpark coupon, ERP and etc? have fun
  5. Wow this is the standard of service that they have dropped to. Interesting but not surprising after the kind of service and " professionalism" in my case. After less than positive experiences with Singtel I can fully empathise with this guy below The below was copied from STOMP. A STOMPer made a call to SingTel's customer service hotline to report a reception problem, but was apparently told off by one of the customer service officers. Said the STOMPer: "I was a customer with Starhub for 11 years and decided to port my number to SingTel in April 2010. "However, my decision proved to be so wrong! Singtel's reception was so bad that once I ported my number over, I began to experience poor reception. "I called them in May to try to rectify the problem. The first CSO was not able to resolve the issue, transferred the call to another CSO. "The transfers went on for an hour till I reached the 4th CSO. I related my problem the 4TH TIME and she told me: 'It's your damn problem!' "When I confronted and asked for her name, she got angry. "My Mio TV, Singnet and SingTel home line were not functioning properly as well. "When I called SingTel again and escalated the matter to the quality service manager, his promises of looking into the matter dragged on for 4 months! "Today, there isn't any solution to 'my problem' and he is pushing to close the case. "With reference to SingTel's core values (We listen to, and connect with, customers and treat them with dignity and respect. By understanding and anticipating their needs, we make it easy for our customers to do business with us), has SingTel done its part well?" And of course in the comments section there are always people who act self-righteous sbstransitlim said on 14 Oct, 2010 Report as offensive Stomper u are a real idiot ! Know of a place call Singtel customer service counter ????!!! If ur stupid bloody phone is not working bring ur ph dwn to show them, wats the point of calling n calling ??? Complain for a purpose pls don't bark like a crazy dog.!!! I don't wrk for singtel but I pity those CSO having to deal daily with u this type of unreasonable n stupid customer daily.
  6. Japanese Car I bought the very first Honda Accord when it was first launch and I remembered (if memory does not failed me)the speedometer has a maximum speed of 200+km/h and recently at Suntec City, out of curiosity I took a look at a Lexus LS430 parked next door and saw that the maximum speed was only 180km/h max on the speedometer. Is my eyes playing tricks or something I don't understand a 4000cc car versus a 1600cc car yet there is such a discrepancy in their maximum speed I have never tried going for the maximum speed in my Honda any intelligent explanation.

  8. In an attempt to appease traditional owners, BMW is modifying its flagship 7-Series. A facelifted version is due later next year. The current 7-series is the work of BMW design chief Chris Bangle who has created some truly eye-catching models, including the new Z4. Although the modifications to the 7-Series are minor, the Munich-based marque hopes they will placate potential customers and dealers worldwide who disliked the front and rear-end design. Another target for criticism has been the iDrive system which can be used to operate the radio/TV, Sat-Nav, telephone and air-conditioning among other things. The system has already been reworked - and simplified - for the new 5-Series. The facelifted 7-Series will have a softer look. The most visible changes will be the new headlights and wider, more curved trademark twin-kidney grille. There will also be new bumpers front and rear. Published in the Irish Times 06 August 2003
  9. http://straitstimes.asia1.com.sg/latest/st...,197348,00.html? KUALA LUMPUR -- Malaysia will bring a simmering water dispute with neighbouring Singapore to the boil again in a tit-for-tat publishing duel, a report said on Monday. Kuala Lumpur will produce a book revealing a 'true' account of the squabble and rejecting the version put forward by Singapore in a recently-released book entitled Water Talks? If Only It Could. Advertisement http://ads.asia1.com.sg/image.ng/Params.richmedia=yes&site=tsti&size=300X250 'We must give the true picture. The only one who is unfair and unreasonable is Singapore,' Foreign Minister Syed Hamid Albar was quoted as saying by the Malay-language Utusan Malaysia. Malaysia's version would reject all the arguments considered inaccurate in Singapore's book, he said. 'That book does not help strengthen bilateral ties and it is as if they are not interested in establishing a positive relationship,' Datuk Seri Syed Hamid said. At the heart of the row is the price paid by Singapore for raw water from its neighbour. Singapore's book says Malaysia is unreasonable, frequently changing its stance and causing talks over the issue to come to a standstill. The book, published by the republic's information ministry, contains a chronology of key events, a statement by Singapore's Foreign Minister S. Jayakumar, letters exchanged between Singapore and Malaysia leaders and other documents. Datuk Seri Syed Hamid said Malaysia remained uninterested in holding any talks over the water sold to Singapore until the city-state was capable of accepting a fair and just agreement. Malaysia decided to halt the talks last year after it failed to secure a price increase, and said it was considering taking legal action. It now sells raw water to Singapore at three sen (less than one US cent) per 1,000 gallons (4,550 litres). -- AFP
