  3. A cam car instigates a feud with a Toyota Camry driver by flashing his high beam at his car. The Toyota Camry retaliates by tailgating, horning and flashing his high beam at the cam car. Watch the video for yourself below: The cam car had initially claimed that the Toyota Camry driver had cut him off without signalling at 0:01 of the video. Though from the screenshot, it seemed like there was ample safe distance between the Camry and the cam car. However, the only issue was that the Camry failed to signal before switching lanes. Moments later, the cam car flashes its high beam repeatedly, provoking the Camry driver. (At 0:07, with the audio turned on, the cam car's repeated flashing felt more like an abuse of the vehicle's high beam to me) In Singapore, the high beam is often used as a sign of displeasure at another driver’s poor road etiquette, such as the Camry driver’s failure to signal when changing lanes. The actions of the cam car enraged the Camry driver, and he started tailgating the cam car and also honked him for a good 20 seconds or so. Subsequently, the cam car performs several abrupt brake checks to indicate his displeasure, causing the Camry driver to also jam his brakes, further provoking him. Finally, the cam car driver came to a stop and got out of his car to give the Camry driver an earful while using his phone to record his confrontation as evidence. Likewise, the Camry driver also used his mobile device to record the cam car driver. The cam car driver claims that the Camry driver spewed vulgarities and made explicit hand gestures to the cam car driver. Somehow, I find it strange that the Camry driver tailed the cam car all this way, only to remain in his car when the cam car driver got out of his car to confront him. Netizen Comments Seems like the cam car driver ain't no angel either. The Camry driver in a nutshell. . The Camry driver better ensure his high beam lever is not broken after this incident🤣 All I can say is that it takes two hands to clap! ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. 4. Any opinions on the 2.5 camry hybrid vs 2.5 mazda 6? both priced quite similarly....which is a better buy?
  5. The Toyota Camry has always had an 'uncle's car' stigma to it, but the new one now is dressed with radically sportier and sharper looks, so is it necessarily deserving of the association? We put one to the test! Toyota and Lexus alike have a perchance for large grilles, and it seems the Camry has no qualms about sporting the same! So no prizes for guessing what captures Jon's attention here As you would expect, the Camry is really well appointed inside, But Julian finds something he really likes about the dash! And is it comfortable to drive? I think this picture tells alot... Or maybe the sgCarMart crew is a lot busier than they look? So is the new Camry still deserving of its 'Uncle's car' image? Or has the sporty image come with upgrades to the rest of the car befitting of a younger audience? You have to watch the full video to find out!
  6. A friend of mine is currently looking at getting a Camry. Would like to seek some comments. Thanks.

  8. Hi there, i'm having terrible fuel consumption with my toyota camry. even when i drive "conservatively", it is doing about 7-8km/litre. completely horrible. what are your experiences?
  9. According to the BM SE, the FL 2015 Asian Camry is coming in about Jun this year. Saw the Thai version brochure below: http://www.toyota.co.th/models/camry/pdf/camry_brochure_2015.pdf The 2.0L has a new VVTI-W engine with 6 speed GB. Although the design of the Asian camry still not so sporty like the US version but I think this new FL looks good!
  10. To be launched in Japan in Jan 06. Stay tuned!
  11. Hi All.... I did a air-con flush around july and a few days after that, my air-con seems to be blowing out a kind of funny smell, something alike a herbal/bitter smell. Only at low speed and engine start-up would i get the smell and its only coming out from the front passenger side air vent. Anyone has faced the same situation before? Please advise. Thanks a million!!!!
  12. Just curious... above affordable Jap luxurious sedan I vote Teana
  13. The Toyota Camry has just been facelifted and Thailand is the first country to receive it. The biggest news for this mid-life update is the debut of the new 2.0-litre VVT-iW & D-4S engine which will be paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. Previously, the Camry 2.0 features an ancient four-speed automatic. While not much is known about the six-speed automatic, we do know the new 2.0-litre engine is a pretty advance unit which will be running a high compression ratio of 12.7:1 versus the 9.8:1 of the old. Toyota's latest VVTi-W(Variable Valve Timing-intelligent Wide) technology which is first seen on the Lexus NX200t is present too. Outputting a decent 164bhp and 199Nm, it gains a useful 17bhp over the old engine. With the help of the six-speed automatic, it is claimed to deliver a 13 percent improvement in terms of fuel consumption. The thais will also be getting a good-looking Camry Extremo sports variant which we guess is unlikely to come to our shores. Interesting features that the updated Camry will feature includes full LED headlamps with auto high beam, Qi wireless charger, radar cruise control and lane departure warning.
  14. Im looking to switch to a bigger car. Almost buy a 07 mazda 6 that i really like ( superb condition ) but was sold just before i could get rid of my car. Realise all the remaining mazda 6 2007 model in the market all shouting 10k+ depri and realise in that case I could go for a 08 1 sua... short listed a few car and both their depri is between 11-12k range. I feel mazda 6 looks more stylish, the interior also alot of gadget like pedal shifter and cruise control etc. Camry i feel space wise is slightly bigger and also toyota quite well known for reliability. Alot of my friend say get the camry if same depri, as higher resale and less problem. FC should be better as well. However feedback is Im too "young" for this kind of car ( late 20s )but for me isnt an issue. I was wondering if anyone face the same dilemma before? Dont tell me to buy legacy or accord, don't really like at all. I realise for 12k+ depri can even get a audi a3 1.8 or 320, but I think continental at this price should prolly mean trouble lol. Thanks guys
  15. Yes. No, it isn't a refreshed model. The 7th generation American XV50 Camry was dealt with a head-toe mid-term overhaul by Toyota to counter cynics who actually think that the Japanese automaker's mid-size sedan is a dishwasher on four wheels. Debut now at the New York auto show.
  16. [extract] Employee Raul Quecada places a 'No Sale' sign on a used Toyota vehicle at a Toyota dealership Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010 in Alhambra, California.
