  1. Hello all! I am about to buy a truck. Not sure which one yet but it will definitely be one of Fords. I want to stay on budget, so I am thinking of buying used. And I'm not sure will I be shopping private-party or at a dealership but it's good to know what you'll get — and what you won't so I want to do a mechanical inspection and a vehicle history report. I know that a report isn't going to guarantee I'm getting a good used vehicle, however I think it's a good start for used-car shopping. I want to compare the results of those two checks out of curiosity. Can someone recommend good and not very expensive vehicle inspection software? I know that there is Carfax but their reports are pretty pricey: one for $39.99, three for $79.99, and five for $99.99. I was recommended these two apps, have someone tried them: UVIScan and VIR ? anyway, thanks for any contribution and Happy New Year to all! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that in 2019 Dotard Trump won't throw a lot of fits.
  2. Hope this is not a repeated thread.. Let me start first... http://m.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.php?ID=677748 Caveat emptor applies.. For short term usage very reasonable..Depre : 6.6k/ yr Powerful n spacious Teana 2.5V6
  3. Saw this link in sgcarmart and STCars. http://sphclass.com.sg/carambassador/ SPH is looking for Car ambassador for this year Carnival. They have renamed it as "The Cars@Expo". Previously known as CATS Carnival.
  4. Saw this discussion elsewhere on the Internet so thought it interesting to ask here. Assuming same (or similar) car model and asking price, would you rather have: An older car (by 1-2 years) with lower mileage OR A newer car with higher mileage (Leaving aside things like tweaking odometer and etc. Let's presume mileage is genuine and legit)
  5. When searching SG Carmart on Mobile - it gives me annual depreciation For the desktop version I can't see this How?

I'll be better off buying the brand new one which is about $300K. Porsche Macan PDK 2.0A $279,800 11-Jul-2014 Auto 1,984 cc 1,000 km SUV Available 5 Years Stuttgart Warranty And Maintenance Package. 7. I have seen cars which has 2 or more owners, 8 years or older in the used car market with mileage of less than 100,000km mark. Do you personally think that this is possible based on most Singaporean driving habits? I don't drive much except to and fro work and average about 1600km per month. I might believe that the car has low mileage if it is sold by direct owner and he is the one and only owner. My father scrap his 10 year old car recently and his is one and only owner, clocked about 56,000km when scrapped. With the lemon law in place, I wonder if any dealers still resort in "rewinding" the clock back to a lesser number to attract potential victims.
  8. Does any know how to tell the difference between a PI new car, and a PI import used car, when buying them second hand? Car dealers tell me the car's mileage is likely to have been adjusted regardless of imported new, or imported used, especially if the manufacturing date is far from the registered date. Do hope to find out more, as second hand cars in the local market, which are classified as PI does seem more attractively priced in the market
