  3. Hi all, Thinking of getting an old S80 or S60 because the price seems reasonable. Like your advise whether this move is a lousy one and the maintenance will kill. thanks in advance.
  4. Posting this qs on behalf of a friend who wants to find out if there are any good Volvo workshops/mechanics in SG besides SM Motors. She is driving an S60. TIA.
  5. HI people, considering the new Volvo S60 2.0T or T6. Anyone owns this here? Any experiences to share? Most important thing to me is the reliability. Any comments on that? I read from earlier post that normal servicing is 1.1K to 3.3K is that really true? Thanks in advance.
  6. Imagine parking your car like you passed your driving test on the first try and then returning to your car with this note on the windscreen - Did you really park like an idiot? Who left the note? Did they get hurt while getting out of their car from the passenger side? So many questions. To the car camera for answers. Here’s our supposedly wronged and potentially injured party arriving in an MX-5. Very good choice of car. After 30 seconds of parking and having to exit the car from the passenger side, the lady comes out to take a photo of the “offending” Volvo S60. She spends about 10 seconds taking photos of the car from multiple angles. We know the Volvo S60 looks good from any angle. After walking one round inspecting the car like it was at the front gate of an army camp, she leaves her note. Did the Volvo driver park like an idiot? Well here’s the tea. I can hear you screaming: “Lies! The driver probably took this photo at another lot! No way someone will park in that spot! Not even the nimble Miata!” Here’s the other photo. At least the Volvo driver was nice enough to mask out the MX-5’s plate. Here’s the full video uploaded on SG Road Vigilante: And “Sanctimonious” means “making a show of being morally superior to other people.” ----------------------------------------------- Impressed by how the MX-5 can fit into snug places? Here are some for sale. Or maybe you're leaning more on the innocent Volvo S60? We've got you covered here too! -----------------------------------------------
  7. http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/imag...=2011+volvo+s60 OH GOSH, DAMN COOL The rear lights no longer look like the ancient chinese coffin. Will this car be sold here and at what price?
  8. Anyone has tested the new S60 ? Saw the Promo price and the power looks good !
  9. Hi, Have any of the Volvo owners installed the HD Link IW03V-N23? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDoizlKbT7c https://car-solutions.com/nfs/product/863470/file/HDLINK-VOLVO-manual.pdf Would like to know your feedback (pros and cons) from all Volvo owners, though particularly for S60 owners. Thank you and appreciate your feedback.
  10. Hello Guys, With the current new CEVs craziness. I'm holding purchase of a new car as there may discount opportunities next year when the new rules kick in. So I'm looking for a 2nd hand car that is between having 1-3 years of COE left to replace my car due for scrap in june. Interesting 1 category down jap cars of 1.6L command a higher depreciation of 10-12k for those 7-8 years of age. Anyway I'm currently looking at 2L cars that depreciate between 8 - 10k per year for under 3 years of COE left. After trawling a couple of pages of SGCarmart, these were what I found. 1. Subaru Legacy 2.0R or Wagon 2. Volvo S60 3. Ford Mondeo 2.3A (erm, whats the difference between trend and no trend? seems to be a significant depreciation difference) 4. Citroën C4 Picasso 2.0A What are your thoughts on this? Assuming these cars are mostly 7-8 years old and high mileage. Which would you get and why? It seems strange that the Volvo S60 would depreciate similar to the other 3. Actually I saw 1 BMW also depreciate under 10k but likely to have expensive maintenance thus did not list it here.
  11. Still undecide which model to get, is there any different between this 2 models beside 1 is sedan while the other is Wagon? Is there any different in the drive? which boot space is bigger? Please advise thanks :) Lastly why is it that wagon is always more expensive than sedan?
  12. Hi Am looking for a replacement car of not more than $160k. Some considerations for narrowing down my choices are: a) Reliability; b) Safety; c) Performance; d) FC; e) Comfort; f) Maintenance costs (AD) - a range would be helpful; g) Insurance premium. Have test drove the Volvo T5, Infiniti Q50 and Mazda 6 recently. All 2.0 litre petrol cars. Diesel cars not an option as my mileage not high. Just doing my due diligence before making a commitment. Hence, would greatly appreciate existing/ past owners of the above cars to share experience of their ride; and potential owners to share the x-factors that made them signed on the dotted line. Thanks a lot!
  13. taken from blog in mcf........ If you currently own the latest Volvo S60 or XC60 and feels that heat is building up from below, it is better to pull over at the side of the road and check. This is because Volvo is recalling 2,742 2012 Volvo S60s and XC60s in the US due to a potential fuel leak that increases the risk of a fire, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). so mr powder, please change to xc90 or something bigger and mightier for your safety sake. Take care.....
  14. With first deliveries of the all-new Volvo S60 just right around the corner, it's high time for the German aftermarket gurus at Heico Sportiv to ready their performance and aerodynamic enhancements for the much-promising Swedish sedan. The tuning firm released the first drawings and illustrations of their package for the new S60. Exterior modifications include lip spoilers on both corners of the front bumper, side skirts, a discreet boot lid spoiler and a rear apron housing a diffuser. The new exhaust tail pipes and Heico's own alloy wheels will also be part of the package. The Volvo specialists also plan to develop a modified suspension for the new S60. In addition, engine modifications could take the car
