Spas Neutral Newbie November 13, 2005 Share November 13, 2005 (edited) The BMW X3... Overrated. Under-performing. Overpriced. There ya go. :) X5's still a lot better. Can't wait for the new one. Edited November 13, 2005 by Spas
Ling156 Neutral Newbie November 13, 2005 Author Share November 13, 2005 really? thought that the X3 was quite ok...as in no negative reviews about it. X3's much smaller than the X5 and techically should be 'easier' to drive? . how is it under performing? is there any 'small' SUV that is 'ok'? or are there non at all? Odyssey02 Clutched November 13, 2005 Share November 13, 2005 the X5 is one of the best SUV's to drive although its quite old.
Spas Neutral Newbie November 13, 2005 Share November 13, 2005 wait slightly more than a year for the NEW X5 to come out. Or u can get the Lexus RX instead. A good car, though a common sight.
Ling156 Neutral Newbie November 13, 2005 Author Share November 13, 2005 really? that good? how's the fuel consumption like? any other good things to share abt the car? X5 or X3?
Ling156 Neutral Newbie November 13, 2005 Author Share November 13, 2005 thanks...not in that big a rush so am just shopping around for info was actually thinking of the X3 coz its a smaller version of the X5 so thought should be just as good... yep, was quite hooked on the Lexus RX in the beginning but didn't get it in the end... Spas Neutral Newbie November 13, 2005 Share November 13, 2005 (edited) What's your price range and what are your needs, i.e for traveling point a to b, or that together with needing to carry loads like children and more than 4 people... ya catch my drift. Or are u just dead-set on a "soft-roader" and won't settle for anything else? And if price isn't a factor, well may i suggest you get a Land Rover. Nullifi3d 4th Gear November 13, 2005 Share November 13, 2005 Would anyone be able to give a review of the BMW X3 - such as performance, FC, road handling, interior components etc... It would be much appreciated Thanks! One very simple question, you like SUV-wannabes or the real thing? If its the former then you're better off purchasing an RX300 or a Harrier. If its the latter then try a Toyota Landcruiser Amazon. Money better spent. I'm a beemer-fan but the X3 is just a shame to the blue-propellor. If you saw Clarkson's report on the X3 on Top Gear you'd agree with me. Cheers.
Sei_fei_loh 1st Gear November 13, 2005 Share November 13, 2005 XC90, if im not wrong, doesn't have off road ability.. if im nt wrong, from the recent, motoring tv prog on channelnews asia, there is a merc 4X4. think its M-class.. with pretty good review. the VW did well too, landrover was good but the most expensive. while for the XC90, its good for accleration. d: >
Ling156 Neutral Newbie November 14, 2005 Author Share November 14, 2005 actually, i just need the car to go from point a to b and to ferry my kid. but i prefer suvs cos they give me height and i feel 'safer' too. price wise, am not looking at that now but it is a priority... Ling156 Neutral Newbie November 14, 2005 Author Share November 14, 2005 yep, i am aso in love with that car. it has everything that i want...a seven seater SUV but the price is a little intimidating
Odyssey02 Clutched November 14, 2005 Share November 14, 2005 the land rover discovery is a full size SUV capable of everything. it has the best reviews on off roading and drives well too. furthermore, it provides space for 7 full size adults. much bigger then the XC90. ↡ Advertisement
