Neutral Newbie

Not advisible. 195/50/16 is closer to 185/65/14. 195/55/16 is way out (+4%). But wait! your 205/55/16 is even more way out (+6%)? Is it OK?

195/50/16 will probably b clearing the bananaleaf and not scratch the tyre when u turn, but check that your rim offset is correct type.

what i did is actually +2, 185 to 205, 65 to 55 , 14 to 16 , i thought this is the right way of doing for +2

Hi,

Since I don't have the permission to post a new topic I will write here, I hope the topic owner will not mind.

I bought a new set of alloy rims for my car for the winter season, yesterday I fitted them and I observed a small gap between the rim and brake disc ( see the pictures attached).

Will this gap cause any problems? It is normal?

The rims are similar from the point of E.T PCD, HUB diameter etc.

What I thinks is that the bore (brown part) is a little bit too long and hits the green part (green part on the diagram)

I took the car for a spin and i didin't feel any strange behavior (vibrations or oscilations)

I fear not the shear the bolts...

Hi,

+2 upsize should be

- 185 to 195 to 205 (tyre width)

- 65 to 55 to 45 (profile)

- 14 to 15 to 16 (rim size)

So technically, at 16-inch, your profile should be 205/45R16.

Dear 92,

it is alright to have those gap there

it is probably caused by your wheel hub(back) had little chamfered edged

should you have any doubt I am sure you can go back to the shop seller for clarification
