For the guys who are driving the Superb...When you start the engine say in the morning, does the needle climbs straight up to the middle i.e. to 90C or does it takes several minutes for it to get to 90C?

hi bro

Ours take about 3 or so minutes to reach middle. So I guess that's normal? Anyway, is your car 5k run-in yet? Then perhaps just remind them to check your coolant?

Very slow, you know I don't drive fast [;)] Anyhow, is with the CA service centre now.

The temp got to 90C in less than 30 secs, I think either sensor or gauge faulty.

My SE did a check on the Superbs in CA show room and found all of them reaches middle as soon as ignition is on. So case rest.

BTW, do you guys have 2004 models?
