hi, i can't comment on the performance cos i've not driven any one of them. but in terms of design, i would go for the murano vs the old outlander. but with the new outlander design, i'm indifferent, both are nice.

Ok...should be Murano vs new Outlander

some feature:

Murano: fierce in design and look like a beast [sly]

new Outlander: facelift, with 6 speed and manual shift pedal [sly]

pls give your comments....

Murano has a striking pose and jarring look that catches attention but personally, after a while I'm starting to feel sianz already.

Outlander looks simple and bland at first look but it grows on you, the looks seems to last longer--thats for me at least.

Similarly for the interior. Murano looks different and sporty( but also quite plasticky) whearas the Outlander has better percieved conti class look and quality. (But I dont like the Outlander door panel...too plasticky.)

and yes, shift pedal is good. Heard the handling is among the best in SUV of this size. Have not tried though, but having driven a pretty 'swaying' handling Rav4 for a while, that will be one of the most important consideration for me.

The profit margin for Outlander is a whopping $27k - which means it is grossly overpriced. The profit margin for the Grandis is less than 15k. This means few months down the road one should be able to get the Outlander for about 85k based on current COE prices. Outlander may be a good SUV but this may not be the right time to buy it unless you do not mind losing $10k overnight aside from the normal depreciation.

Go for Outlander if you go for interior but if you don't mind interior then you should pick Murano.

Have a closer look at the interior, its too simple and boring to the driver. Look at the speedometer, it doesn't fit well into such a big and nicely built SUV.

Cheers.

u r right, the current pricing for Outlander is absolutely overpriced as with most new cars.

While Murano may look stunning at first sight, Outlander has a more lasting look.
