Not too impressed with VW EOS.

Saw one turtle like EOS driving along East Coast Road this morning.

It was going so slowly, like it got the infamous DSG gearbox failure syndrome.

As I was late, got fed up and overtook it. A taxi behind me also overtook the EOS.

Then later saw in the rear view mirror that two SBS buses also overtook the EOS!

Think driver stopped the car with hazard lights flashing.

After 5 mins, it picked up speed and drove off.

Imagine what will happen if EOS is on the highway or worse driving on the NS highway in M'sia when that happens.

Is that a typical VW DSG gearbox failure scenario?

no it isn't....this is likely a driver issue probably waiting for someone or time to pass. DSG failure the car won't even be able to move

Cannot be, the car was in the middle lane and going very slowly...unbelievably slowly.

Even a cyclist overtook the car!

Maybe sudden engine power loss?

no point speculating until the driver tells you what happened. Otherwise could just be 1001 reasons why the car behaved the way it did.
