Odyssey02 Clutched May 13, 2006 Share May 13, 2006 (edited) This van which my family owns is in a horrible state. water etching, heavy scratching, swirls, dull paint, paint overspray due to parking at the warehouse when it was under repainting and serious orange peel. I even suspect it was repainted before delivery due to the flaking paint in the engine bay hood and the fact that the salesgirl told us that dark blue was the only colour availible and a week later she called and said there was red. Anyway, i tried to improve the paint condition over the two days and i must say, the menzerna powergloss is very impressive and jeff werkstatt's prime really makes the paint deep, wet and smooth. Process: Wash with NXT Menzerna Powergloss with light cut pad @ speed 5.5 (2 passes) Menzerna PO106FF with light cut pad @ speed 4.5 Jeff Werkstatt Prime @ speed 3 (removed with OCW) OCW Trim with Autoglym Bumper Care Tyres with Meguiars Endurance Purple Rims polished with Autoglym SRP Although the paint condition has been improved with the swirls gone, the water etching and deep scratches are still there. Gen2 Neutral Newbie May 14, 2006 Share May 14, 2006 (edited) Wow bro very impressive can't help but to notice the cars you detailed all very big . Good job on the swirls and scratches removal , but don feel bad for not removing the water etched marks because sometimes even a rotary with a cutting pad also cannot remove these etched marks . Overall a great improvement on the depth and shine of the paint work . Edited May 14, 2006 by Gen2
