Elina Neutral Newbie May 18, 2006 Share May 18, 2006 Hi, Just got my new Altis but got a little problem. The air-con is abit too cold for our liking, even at 27-28 degrees. Even when we push the vents away, still somehow can feel the "wind" blowing directly at us. During rain, the windows fog up easily even with the heater on. Any Altis owners out there, can advise? Thanks. ↡ Advertisement

Osiris 1st Gear May 18, 2006 Share May 18, 2006 have you set to the lowest fan speed?
Nine_eleven 2nd Gear May 18, 2006 Share May 18, 2006 Altis got no heater leh... unless u mean turning the compressor off... but that won't do coz if the inside is warmer than outside, then interior fogging will occur... the only way, i guess is to equalise the temp inside and outside the car... either that, or apply anti-fog onto your windows... Paffendorf Neutral Newbie May 18, 2006 Share May 18, 2006 Open a little bit window space and let the outside air become one with the aircon then will be ok
Nutty 4th Gear May 18, 2006 Share May 18, 2006 Weird. I'll sat in a few Altis before and I'm not impressed by the cold-ness of their air-con
Picantorian Neutral Newbie May 18, 2006 Share May 18, 2006 Our pica also had this problem. What we did was to on the air-con and blow it towards the windscreen to prevent it from fogging. At the end, must wear sweater cause very cold to tahan.
Apollo 1st Gear May 18, 2006 Share May 18, 2006 nope, its not ur aircon too cold. on the contrary, it is the moisture brought into the car by YOU and your passenger. the aircon is really a dehumidifying system. it removes the condensate whilst pumping out cool dry air. during raining day, the humidity outside is >90% n they will enter the car when u open door. further. when u step around walk abt, sweat, etc u bring these extra moisture into the car. the stark contrast results in fogging. to deal with this you need a balancing of moisture by letting the aircon stabilize or you lower the window partly.
