Major Overhaul at Half-way mark?

Hi,

My car has just turned five and I intend to keep it for another five years. Is there any major overhaul needed to take it to the next lap. e.g. timing belt, brake disc etc?

What's your car mileage? You don't need overhaul unless got major engine problem like blowing black smoke or drinking coolant. If not timing belt will do.

juz follow the recommended service

change of timing belt is important

refer to manual for service interval.

dun have to an overhaul, if there are no major problems

 

btw changing of timimng belt is not considered overhaul

If your car has been properly maintained, you do not need an overhaul. Just follow what is stated in the vehicle manual.

What you need is not a major overhaul but to replace components, belts etc that have reach its natural wear and tear life span. The only overhaul require maybe a top overhaul
