Satinepink Neutral Newbie September 29, 2006 Author Share September 29, 2006 If i wana install power windows, do i re-upholster the door panel first then the power window or vice versa? Anyone knows what the EP82 GT door panel looks like?
Pisces69 6th Gear September 29, 2006 Share September 29, 2006 Aiyah. Like that why dont u just get 2 new seats from the scrapyard. Prob by now your sponge also getting worn & not very comfortable. If only want to do fabric, then just buy those fabric seat covers. Much cheaper. I changed my seats once. If not same as original, u might just have to re-position the anchor points. Abt a 1 hr job only. Power window, it depends what type u getting. If the concealed type, then do the upholstery last.
Satinepink Neutral Newbie February 1, 2007 Author Share February 1, 2007 ok, have decided not to 'power' my windows...as installing the power windows translates into added weight. However, am going to re-clad DIY my door panels. It looks very straight forward as there are not many complicated items involved. However I have one issue...the rear passenger door panel is made up of a wooden fiber board that holds the door handles and unto which the existing fabric is glued unto. This fiber board is disintegrating into smitherines. Anyone know where to buy this fiber board. I would have to cut it to size on my own tho'.
